4. Plumpy

Young (5 months 28 days) · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Manx (short coat)

Howdy! My name is Plumpy, and I'm a brown tabby boy kitty who is 6 months old. Not only that, I'm also a Manx! I don't have a tail at all, unless you count the tiniest bit of a fluffy bit right where a tail would be. I'm maybe the shyest of my siblings, but that doesn't mean I'm all that shy! I'm actually the only boy out of my siblings, so I just have to sit back sometimes and let the girls be in charge of everything. Which is fine by me! I have a very nice purr that I make when people come and pet me, and I really love to play with wand toys! I am a fan of being pet and of getting snuggles, though you have to catch me first, hah! If you're looking for a good-natured boy with a unique look, you should think about adopting me.

Hi! My name is Jolly, and I'm a 6 month old tabico girl kitty--and I'm ALSO a Manx! I don't have a tail at all, unless you count the tiniest bit of a fluffy bit right where a tail would be. I'm probably the calmest of my siblings, and like all of them, I have a very nice purr that I make when people come and pet me. I am definitely up for snuggles, and I am all about playtime, too! Hi there! My name is Sweetie Potamus, and I'm a 2 year old black and white tuxedo girl kitty! I had some kittens here at the shelter, and now that they've found their furever homes, it's my turn! Young (4 months 28 days) · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Tabby (short coat)

Hiya! My name is Harrison, and I am a 5 month old brown and white tabby boy! I have very nice little white shoes, and I love to run around and play! I am told I have very soft fur, and that I'm a friendly, sweet guy, and I definitely agree with that! I love to be pet, though I might be just a tad skittish at first if you pick me up. Not because I hate being picked up, just because I'm getting used to it--after all, if you had a giant cat reach towards you and lift you several times higher than your own height, you might need a little time to get used to that, too! So anyway, I am super excited about finding my furever family, so I hope they find me soon.

Young (2 months 29 days) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Tabby (short coat)

Bonjour! My name is Lea, and I am a brown and white tabby girl with a VERY pink nose! I'm 3 months old, and as you can see from my photos, my tabby markings make it look like I put thick eyeliner on. But my face is all natural beauty! While I don't need to curl my lashes to look prettier, I DO love to curl up to get pets all over. I love to purr when I'm being pet and snuggled. I think playing with toys is also a ton of fun--and I'm not picky about toys at all. Pretty much every toy is a good toy, as far as I'm concerned. Springs, mice, balls, whatever! So if you're looking for a friendly girl who wants a good furever home, consider me!

Young (5 months 28 days) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Tabby (short coat)

Hello! My name is Dina, and I am a grey and white ticked tabby girl! I'm 6 months old. If you haven't heard of a ticked tabby before, that is when my individual hairs are striped, instead of just being a regular tabby pattern. It's a very elegant, ombre look, and I also have a white bib and white feet to complete my look! But better than how I look is how sweet I am! I love to purr for people, and I am definitely going to purr if you come visit me. I enjoy being snuggled and held, and I also like to play! Playing with toys is fun, and I'm not super picky about what kind. Wand toys are definitely cool, especially the kinds with feathers! Oh, and I should say, while I am a beautiful girl, sometimes when I wake up from a nap, I might have a bit of an RBF (resting badass face), but I promise I'm friendly even when my face doesn't look like it! Please come see me soon!

I am a friendly girl to pretty much any person that comes up to see me, and I love to be pet. I will lean into being pet, and I also get excited about head scritches. I might give you licks or even love bites! I can be held, but just a warning--I really don't like other kitties, so if you get me out of my cage, don't let me see the other kitties or I will start acting pretty sassy! I don't think it makes me a diva or anything, I just know that I want to be your only kitty! So if you're just looking for one cat, I am a purrfect choice!

Hi there! My name is Quartz! I'm a black and white boy kitty who is 11 months old. I'm a little shy and timid here at the shelter, but that's because there is so much going on, and I haven't been here for all that long. I'm still learning the ropes. I'm okay with being pet; I just need someone who is a little patient with me--I'm a nice kitty, but like I said, I'm not used to any of this, and I am learning to trust people. I love to watch everything going on--I'm curious, and smart, and I can see that most people just want to pet me and give me love. I'm very interested in this "furever family" thing I keep hearing about--it sounds really cool! Young (3 months 29 days) · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

Hi! My name is Crash, and I'm a mostly black kitty boy! I do have a little splotch of white on my chest. I'm 4 months old, and I'm sharing a cage with my sister, Coco! We love each other, and because we are both FIV+, we would love to be adopted together! I know FIV+ sounds scary, but all it means is that we're more likely to get sick if we're exposed to other cats that are sick. It's only transmitted through severe bites or being born with it (like us). So we need to be inside-only cats, and as long as we get along, we can live safely with other cats!

Read more about Crash

Now, if you want to know more about me purrsonally, I am a bit more timid than my sister, but I do like to be pet! I am just more chill, and I prefer to observe and keep tabs on what's going on around me. I also would make a great house panther--I mean, just look at how much I look like a tiny panther! I am so looking forward to my furever family finding me and bringing me home!

But I'm not so squirmy as my sister is, hah. So come visit us, and if you're looking for the perfect house panther for your house, maybe it's me?

25. Margaret

Young (5 months 11 days) · Female · Domestic Medium Hair / Tuxedo (medium coat)

Hi! I'm Margaret, and I'm a 5 month old black and white, slightly fluffy girl kitty! I have a tuxedo pattern, and I am a very respectable, elegant girl. I loooove cat treats, especially churu. If you adopt me, you're going to definitely need to keep me living in the lifestyle to which I have become accustomed, which is to say, I need at least 1 churu/squeeze-up treat a day. Preferably more! I have an exquisite purr, and I don't mind other cats. But I don't love living with like, a ton of other cats. One or two friends at the most. Otherwise, their feelings will get hurt when you have to give me most of your attention. Am I a diva? Maybe. But why would I want to be anything less?

Read more about Margaret

I spent some time in foster care because the people at the shelter thought I was spicy--as my foster parents learned, the truth is, I'm actually just a lil' sassy and prefer to be the main star. I've never been aggressive. I prefer to hide under bedcovers until I feel safe, but you can usually pet me just fine while I'm under the covers. Yes, I will need time to adjust to my new furever home, and sure, I might hiss at you to start, and true, I don't love being picked up by strangers. But I am very sweet at heart, and just need you to have patience while I ensure everything is to my liking and you learn how to properly cater to my every need. Once I know you, then I will eventually let you pick me up (it took my foster parents a couple of weeks, so don't be discouraged--I'm sure you'll learn how to be a good furever friend with just a bit of time). If you're looking for a young cat who doesn't need any other cats to be happy, you should really come visit me!

26. Esther

Young (2 months 29 days) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Tuxedo (short coat)

Hiya! You can call me Esther--that's what everyone here at the shelter calls me! I'm 3 months old, and I'm a black and white tuxedo girl kitty. I'm sharing a cage with my sisters Sarah and Hannah, who I love to play with! Seriously, we are like, experts at playing, and we take our playtime very seriously. Now, if you come to visit us here at the shelter, I might hiss at you initially: this is a test! Are you patient and brave enough to try and pet me? If you have the courage and you have a kind heart, then I will probably let you pet me. If you bring me a toy to play with, I'll almost certainly let you pet me! So don't let my spicy act put you off. I'm just keeping people on their toes, and making sure whoever adopts me is willing to put a little extra effort in. But behind the sassy facade, I'm a sweetheart!

27. Abby

Adult (1 year) · Domestic Short Hair / Tabby (short coat)

Hello dear! I'm Abby! I'm an adult orange tabby girl, so that already makes me distinctive--only 20% of orange tabbies are girls! I have pretty, expressive eyes, and extremely soft fur. I am usually pretty friendly, but sometimes, I'm just not up for interaction. I guess you could say I'm hot and cold--when I want pets, I really want pets! But when I don't, I really, really don't! So for that reason, I am probably better suited to a home without small children, because I need my people to understand that I need my me-time, and sometimes small kids just don't get that. That being said, I think once I'm in my own home with my own people and some stability, I'll be a lot less wishy-washy about getting attention. I think I would make a fabulous guard cat, because I will not take crap from anyone! So if you would like a girl that might be a little more challenging than the average cat, but is still sweet a lot of the time, maybe I'm exactly the right cat for you!

28. Acura

Adult (1 year) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Tabby (short coat)

(Acura is currently available for adoption at Petsense Pet Store in Villa Rica.)
Hello! My name is Acura, and I am a very friendly brown tabby girl. I'm a year old, and I cannot wait for my furever family to find me. I love people, especially if they want to pet me and snuggle me. I will roll over for allllll the pets. I am a little iffy about being picked up, but there's a good reason--I came to the shelter with a bite wound on my back end! It's healed up now, but let me tell you, I am so glad I'm not on the streets getting attacked by other animals anymore. I just want to live inside a good home with good people. I like to make biscuits, and I am really good about letting people trim my claws so that I don't accidentally scratch you. Oh, and I have a great purr that I love to make when I'm happy. Come visit me soon!

29. Skipperdee

Young (3 months 29 days) · Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

Hey there! My name is Skipperdee, and I'm a 4 month old black boy kitty! I am sharing a cage with my mom Eloise and my siblings Weenie and Salamone. I'm a little spicy right now here at the shelter--it's kinda loud and there are strange people, and it's just a lot going on for one little kitten to handle. I'm not a mean or bad kitty, though--if you can catch me, I am okay with getting pets. I'm just learning to trust people, and I need whoever my furever family is to have some patience with me. I do love to play with toys! Come visit me soon!

Adopting a cat in Cherokee County

Kittens go quickly, especially in spring and summer. If you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon, and think about adopting two: young cats keep each other company and out of mischief.
