1. Blaze

Kitten (4 months 1 day) · Male · Siamese / Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 17 mi from Daphne

Meet Blaze!

Blaze is a stunning 4-month-old Flame Point Siamese mix with mesmerizing blue eyes and a gentle soul that's just beginning to discover the comforts of indoor life.

Blaze is one of a community cat mama's kittens who spent his first few months growing up outdoors. Thanks to the dedication of a rescuer, this handsome boy was safely trapped and brought indoors, where he is learning that people, soft beds, and regular meals can be pretty wonderful.

Read more about Blaze

Because of his early life outdoors, Blaze is still quite timid and cautious around new people and situations. While he has made encouraging progress, he is not the type of kitten who will immediately run up to strangers or seek constant attention. Instead, Blaze needs a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time and who will allow him to settle in at his own pace.

With gentle encouragement and a calm routine, Blaze's confidence continues to grow every day. Watching him become more comfortable has been incredibly rewarding, and we know the right home will help him continue to blossom.

Blaze would do best in a quiet home without young children, where he won't be overwhelmed by a lot of noise or activity. A peaceful environment and a patient family will give him the security he needs to truly thrive.

With his creamy white coat, flame-colored points, and striking blue eyes, Blaze is a truly beautiful kitten with so much potential. Once he learns that he's safe and loved, we believe he will become a devoted companion to the person willing to give him the chance he deserves.

Blaze is ready to leave his outdoor days behind and begin a new chapter as a cherished indoor family member. If you're looking for a special kitten and have the patience to earn the trust of a shy young cat, Blaze may be the perfect match for you.

Could Blaze be the missing piece in your family?

Please remember: Unless otherwise specified, all our kittens and cats are strictly indoor pets.

The little family was brought to safety, and it quickly became clear that the kittens were very sick and in desperate need of care. Through it all, Bobbi proved to be the healthiest of the bunch. Meet Snickerdoodle the Queen Mother Snickerdoodle has a story that began with uncertainty but is headed toward a bright future. She was one of two young mother cats abandoned alongside a group of kittens in a cage outside a veterinary clinic. Because both moms were caring for the kittens, it's impossible to know which kittens belonged to which mother. Snickerdoodle is a sweet, affectionate young cat who is ready to leave motherhood behind and enjoy being pampered herself. She loves attention and has a gentle, loving personality that makes her a wonderful companion. Behind that slightly regal look is a sweet girl who enjoys affection and would love a family of her own. After helping raise kittens through a difficult beginning, Snickerdoodle deserves a forever home where she can be the center of attention for a change. He is playful, curious, and full of energy, always ready to chase toys, explore new things, and enjoy life to the fullest. Sargento has shown incredible strength and resilience, and he deserves a family that will cherish him and keep him safe forever. Whether he is playing with his favorite toys or settling in for a nap after an adventure, Sargento is a sweet kitten who will bring joy and companionship to his lucky adopter. After such a rough beginning, Sargento is ready for the happy ending he has been waiting for. Could that be with you? Please remember: Unless otherwise specified, all our kittens and cats are strictly indoor pets.

13. Spirit

Young (4 months 28 days) · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 17 mi from Daphne

On a warm evening at the
end of summer
, a wire cage was quietly left on the front porch of a veterinary clinic. Inside was a huddle of confused,
three-month-old kittens
, abandoned under the stars. Among them was
Spirit
, a little fighter who was about to prove exactly how he earned his name.
Spirit was breathtakingly beautiful. He looked like he was wearing a pristine, snow-white suit capped with a sleek,
stormy-grey cape
brushed perfectly across his back. But it was his eyes that caught everyone's attention. When he was a tiny baby, a severe infection had swept through his nest. While his body recovered, the illness left his left eye permanently clouded and discolored.
Yet, rather than taking away from his beauty, it only enhanced it. Paired with the clear, icy sky-blue of his right eye, his unique gaze gave him the mystical look of a tiny, resilient prince.
Now
five months old
, Spirit has completely outgrown his rough start. He is healthy, entirely pain-free, and bursting with affectionate kitten energy. He doesn't know he looks any different than his siblings; he only knows that he loves to purr, play, and climb into warm laps. Spirit started his life left on a clinic porch, but his resilient heart is ready for a beautiful new chapter in a forever home.
Please remember: Unless otherwise specified, all our kittens and cats are strictly indoor pets.

Kitten (1 month 21 days) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 17 mi from Daphne

Meet Izzy, Our Sweet Little Tuxedo Tabby!

Izzy is an adorable 7-week-old grey tabby girl with beautiful white tuxedo markings and the sweetest little personality! When Izzy was rescued, one of her eyes had a very severe ulcer. Thankfully, with medication, time, and lots of care, her eye has improved significantly! It will always have some scarring, but the scarring does not cause her pain or affect her ability to enjoy life. Izzy has been through a lot for such a tiny girl, and she is ready to leave her rough start behind and find a family of her very own.

Read more about Izzy

This sweet girl absolutely loves attention and cuddles. She is affectionate, loving, and always happy to have someone fuss over her. But when the toys come out, watch out! Izzy is an excellent little hunter who loves to stalk, chase, and pounce on her toys. She has the perfect combination of snuggly sweetness and playful kitten energy, making her a wonderful little companion.

Izzy is FIV/FeLV negative, vaccinated for her age, and dewormed. She will be spayed and microchipped before adoption. Her adoption fee is $200.

Izzy deserves a family who will see what a special little girl she is and love her for exactly who she is. Her eye may have a little scar, but it certainly hasn’t dimmed her sweet spirit! She can be adopted separately from her sister, so she can find her own perfect forever home.

17. Pepper

Kitten (2 months 29 days) · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Bombay / Mixed (short coat) · 17 mi from Daphne

Meet Pepper, Your Future Fluffy Little Shadow!

Pepper is a handsome 12-week-old solid black fluffy boy with gorgeous green eyes and one extra-special feature: a crooked tail! This sweet boy has a little something extra that makes him even more unique.

Pepper’s story started when he and his siblings came into our care with their mama when they were just hours old. Sadly, their mom became sick and passed away when the babies were only 3 weeks old. Pepper and his sisters then went to a wonderful foster home, where they were loved, spoiled, and given all the care they needed to grow into the happy, healthy kittens they are today.

Read more about Pepper

Now, Pepper is ready to find a family of his very own! He is playful, sweet, and curious, with plenty of kitten energy and love to share. Whether he’s exploring his surroundings, playing with his favorite toys, or soaking up attention, this fluffy little guy is sure to bring plenty of joy to his forever home.

Pepper is neutered, vaccinated for his age, microchipped, and on prevention. He is FeLV negative but is currently testing positive for FIV. Since Pepper is only 12 weeks old, his positive test may be due to antibodies passed to him by his mother rather than an actual FIV infection. Kittens born to FIV-positive mothers can test positive while those maternal antibodies remain in their systems, and many will test negative once the antibodies naturally clear. Pepper should be retested around 6 months of age, and there is a good chance he will test negative at that time!

Even if Pepper remains FIV positive, he can still live a long, happy, healthy life. FIV is typically transmitted through deep bite wounds, so it is not easily spread through normal interactions like sharing food and water, grooming, playing, or snuggling. FIV-positive cats can make wonderful companions and enjoy a great quality of life!

Pepper has come such a long way from that tiny newborn who needed extra care, and now it’s time for his next chapter! Could you be the one to give this special, crooked-tailed boy his happily ever after? His adoption fee is $200.

Please remember: Unless otherwise specified, all our kittens and cats are strictly indoor pets.

Meet Vanilla, a beautiful 12-week-old fluffy black and white little girl who is the lighter-colored sister, with more white than her sister Domino! Vanilla is a playful, curious little explorer who absolutely loves attention. She enjoys climbing, investigating everything around her, and showing off her kitten personality before curling up for some serious snuggle-and-nap time. She is good with cats, dogs, and kids and is already litter box trained.

Vanilla is spayed, vaccinated for her age, microchipped, and on prevention. She is FeLV negative but is currently testing positive for FIV. 20. Domino

Kitten (2 months 8 days) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Tuxedo / Mixed (medium coat) · 17 mi from Daphne

Meet Domino, a gorgeous 12-week-old fluffy black and white little girl who has a little more black than her sister Vanilla! Domino is an absolute sweetheart who loves attention, playtime, climbing, and exploring every corner she can find. When all that kitten energy finally catches up with her, she is more than happy to snuggle in for a cozy nap. She is good with cats, dogs, and kids and is litter box trained, making her a wonderful little addition to just about any family.

Read more about Domino

Domino is spayed, vaccinated for her age, microchipped, and on prevention. She is FeLV negative but is currently testing positive for FIV. Because she is still so young, this does not necessarily mean she is truly infected with FIV. Kittens can test positive because they have received FIV antibodies from their mother, and these maternal antibodies can remain in their system for several months. Domino should be retested around 6 months of age, and there is a very good chance she will test negative once those maternal antibodies have cleared.

Even if a cat does remain FIV positive, FIV is not a reason to overlook a wonderful cat. FIV-positive cats can live long, happy, healthy lives, and the virus is typically transmitted from cat to cat through deep bite wounds. It is not easily spread through normal household interactions such as sharing food bowls, grooming, playing, or cuddling.

Adopting a cat in Daphne

Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the cat, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your cat in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.

Senior cats are often the calmest companions and the slowest to find homes. If you'd like a settled, affectionate cat, ask the rescues about their older residents.

Kittens go quickly, especially in spring and summer. If you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon, and think about adopting two: young cats keep each other company and out of mischief.
