Birthdate: 10/5/22Breed: One of a kindWe feel no shame in saying that we've found your thrill and it's Cat's Domino!First off, this cat has an amazing name, and here’s your tiny history lesson on it. “Cats Domino” is a playful nod to Fats Domino, the legendary musical artist from the 1950s known for hits like “Blueberry Hill” and “Ain’t That A Shame.” Fats was a larger man, and our guy Cats weighs in at a solid 15 pounds. Birthdate: 06/07/2022Breed: One of a kind"Honey....you know you want me (or at least I'm hoping you do!)", says our gorgeous WILLOW. While she won't be picking up kettle bells, she is adorably vocal and will chat you up plenty as you pursue your own fitness goals. 10. Rue
Birthdate: 02/16/2023Breed: One of a kindRUE would like to thank you all for your patience, but wants you to know....she's ready to love again!! Coming a long way from Puerto Rico to find her forever home, she had the toughest time of all her El Faro friends at feeling at home here. Perhaps because she's a sensitive, gentle girl, the transition from the only home she'd ever known proved to be a difficult one. We all know that fear even for humans can leave us emotionally on shaky ground, and it's really no different for cats. So we waited. Rue went to a foster home briefly that we think jump started some changes.
Read more about Rue
Since her return to our cat room, we've watched her watching us in a different way. We held our breath. We hoped.Just the other day, the inner Rue (who we knew was just below the surface) emerged in a way that fills our hearts. She is flirty, she is chatty (chirping up a storm) and she insists that you pet her! It's as if her heart and soul are finally feeling safe enough to show us her love! We celebrate it all! This is why we never give up on an animal. Our show-stopping beauty queen has been so worth the wait! The Rescue is open 7 days a week for you to come and meet our pets! Walk-ins are welcome! Birthdate: 11/17/2025Breed: One of a kindPolly Pocket is one of a kind! She will quickly steal the heart of anyone that meets her. She is a chatty little girl who will chirp when you come in the room - her way of saying hi! She might not come up to you right away, but give her a second and she'll be rolling over ready for pets and love. Sweet Polly was born outside and cared for by a good samaritan who realized that it was time for her and her siblings to find their forever homes. We are so grateful that we get to be part of this special kitty's life.Polly has tested positive for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus).
Read more about Polly Pocket
FeLV cats have a virus that causes a weaker immune system! For the most part, felvies are just like any other cat. You could not pick one out of the crowd, and they generally do not require much additional care. As a bonus, PCAR provides full coverage and treatment for any FeLV-related issues that arise after the time of adoption. Cats with FeLV typically have a shortened lifespan - we like to compare it to the lifespan of adopting a senior kitty, with the added benefit that FeLV-related medical care is covered. Polly is not contagious to people, dogs or other animals, but should live only with other FeLV+ cats. For more information, please contact us.Polly Pocket is currently in a foster home. How to adopt from Animals for Life, Inc.
All of our prospective adopters must fill out an adoption application and review the application with one of our adoption counselors. The adoption application will enable us to get to know you and your family a little better and help us to better match you with a pet that will suit your lifestyle. We request that all members of a family be present at the time of application. It's important to us that all members of your household be comfortable with the animals that you are considering for adoption. We try to ensure that the animals you are looking at are a safe and compatible match for all members of your family by giving you information about the activity level, training needs and general personality traits of the animals in our care. We try very hard to make the best possible match between your home and one of our pets, so we do reserve the right to deny any application. We also will accept multiple applications on the same animal in an effort to find it the best home. We require written permission from your landlord or management company in the event that you rent your residence. Animals for Life checks veterinarian references and may make a home visit either before or after a pet is adopted. We do not ship any animal. We remain available for assistance and follow-up advice after a pet goes to a new home. Remember, our job begins with an adoption -- we are always happy to hear from you! Our adoption counselors are available to answer any training or behavior question

How to adopt from Nile Valley Egyptian Foundation Inc.
NVEcats,The Nile Valley Egyptian Foundation Inc.(NVEcats), finds homes for homeless, abandoned, and abused cats, rescued from the mean streets of Cairo, Egypt, working diligently to find responsible and loving Pet Parents in the USA. We work with other non-governmental organizations (NGOs) supported charities in Egypt who have rescued abandoned, neglected and abused animals. Almost all of these animals have survived hunger, poisonings, and illnesses before entering the safety of the Egyptian Mau Rescue Organization –EMRO and/or other NGOs. Our adoption process begins with an adoption application which will be provided to any interested adult 21 years of age, or older. We will also require a veterinarian’s reference. We are looking for very special people who truly care about these animals, not as property, but who will be accepted as loving, long-term companions being welcomed into the lives of their adoptive families. Our priority is to ensure the cats will never again need to be rescued, will never be hungry and, most importantly, will never be abused. In order to accomplish this goal, we ask all potential adoptive parents to fully fill out and complete a detailed adoption application. Adoption from NVEcats means that you will be asked to make a tax deductible adoption donation, pay for spaying/neutering, and any other medical care required before the felines are allowed to enter into the USA. Foster homes for cats and kittens newly arrived in the US are also availabl

Adopting a cat in Darien
Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the cat, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your cat in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.
Senior cats are often the calmest companions and the slowest to find homes. If you'd like a settled, affectionate cat, ask the rescues about their older residents.
Kittens go quickly, especially in spring and summer. If you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon, and think about adopting two: young cats keep each other company and out of mischief.
