Teeny tiny Nomad earned her name well after riding 25 miles under a car before being rescued and safely secured! Thankfully her foster mom stepped up to care for her and she has grown leaps and bounds in the last few weeks. Still though, she loves car rides, adventures, and sneaking out of her secure space when no one is watching! King Arthur is a sweet boy, who is about 2 years old and looking for his family. He is very friendly to the other 2 cats in his foster home (one of them is his twin brother who he has been separated from for a year until he came to his foster home- long story on that) and he doesnt seem to mind the dog friends either, but is still a little shy. Angel was found in Vandalia under a trailer with her day-old litter of 4. She had such a sweet demeanor that the lady who found her named her Angel. She loves to be loved! She is a lap cat for sure! She also loves to play with and hunt feathered toys. Sadly, only one of her kittens survived, and her name is Seraphina,who has been adopted. Angel is living in a foster home, where she is used to children. She is about 16 months old. Angel is available for immediate adoption. The vet said it was a body wall hernia most likely from a bite from another cat. During the surgery to repair the hernia, another smaller tear in the mesh was discovered that was definitely from a bite.

David never stops purring! He is the first kitten to greet his people in the morning and is always waiting for visitors and love.Found with his friends in Poplar Bluff, David had a rough start to life. He and all of his friends, were underweight, covered in fleas and some even had ringworm. But with some TLC, they all gained weight, lost the fleas and got rid of the ringworm with no issues. We think David is about a week older than his friends that he came to Heartland with but he's always fit right in with all of them. We joke that David is so well behaved because he tries to be a perfect kitten so no one would suspect that he wasn't part of the litter.

The CA staff member was easily able to humanely trap Garth who was quickly adopted from CAR within weeks of his arrival. Becca, and her babies - Judd & Agnes - were humanely trapped by a Country Acres' staff member. This sweet feline family were found roaming her Mom's property in Pacific, MO. She worked hard every single day for over a month to coax/lure Becca and her babies to trust her so she could bring them to Country Acres Rescue. Becca is super affectionate, loving and just one of the sweetest cats at CAR. Becca is very interested in whatever you are doing - she engages you. Originally thought to be a girl (oops), Dara was brought in to grow up with Diana and all of her kittens, Dara quickly fit in and was quickly playing and snuggling with his new found siblings and mom.Dara is a little on the shy side to start, but he quickly warms up to people. He loves to be petted and is good with being held and snuggled. Dara sometimes spooks at loud noises but he quickly returns to where he was and resumes playing.
