Meet Whisky - He was found outside a kind woman's home, waiting at her door day after day, hoping to be let inside. It was clear he wanted a home of his own, and with winter approaching, we couldn't bear the thought of him spending another day outside. So we rescued him!

Check out the pictures! He wants to be where you are and will follow you any where. One adorable thing he does is he loves to stretch out and he's really long...and his tail is super long too. Underneath the handsome face is a sweet, special boy who just wants a home and to feel safe and loved.

Now in his foster home Whisky is discovering the joys of being a cat! He's learning to play with toys, and watching him figure it out is absolutely adorable. Rosie Hi- my name is Rosie. I was born in January of 2026. I am living in my foster home with my brother and sisters. I am the laid back one of us, but I love to play, so I will need a companion to run and play with, but I will also need some snuggles when we are done rough housing it. I do love to sit on your chest and snuggle under your chin. At bedtime, I lay with my foster mom for some bedtime snuggles. Then I will jump to the window perch to stand guard, well sleep. Teddy Hi, my name is Teddy. I was born in January of 2026. I have 3 sisters. My foster mom says I'm a true boy. I play hard with my sisters so it would be great to be able to stay with one of them or I could be a great addition if you have another cat, I do need another cat to play with that can handle me pouncing on them. I am known to relax and snuggle in bed with my foster mom, thankfully. I love to have my belly rubbed and I love kisses and will snuggle for a minute or two especially before bedtime. Carry me like football and I'm happy. My foster mom says I get into everything, but she laughs when she says it.

10. C339 Litter Dolly, mom

Young (9 months) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Tuxedo / Mixed (short coat) · 13 mi from Detroit

Meet the Dolly Family

This sweet trio is looking for their next chapter together (or as loving individual homes) and trust us, once you meet them, you'll want to make room for all three.

Dolly is the tiny, devoted mama of this crew — don't let her small-size fool you, her heart is enormous. She's incredibly sweet and cuddly, the kind of cat who wins over everyone she meets within about thirty seconds. She even has the world's daintiest little meow, a soft, quiet chirp that matches her gentle personality perfectly. If you're looking for a lap cat who'll make you feel like the most important person in the room, Dolly's your girl.

Read more about C339 Litter Dolly, mom

Jolene is the one who will absolutely steal your heart, just like her namesake warns. She's a spirited tabby who spends her days tag-teaming her brother in what can only be described as full WWE-style wrestling matches, complete with dramatic pins and comeback moves. But Jolene's got range: after she's tired herself out, she'll settle in and quietly watch Oreo zoom around the room, looking every bit the wise older sister supervising chaos.

Oreo is exactly like his namesake cookie — pure sweetness packed into the middle of pure kitten energy. This little guy treats their one-room apartment like a racetrack, sprinting laps with a toy clenched proudly in his mouth and launching into mid-air leaps that would make any gymnast jealous. He's playful, he's fearless, and he's going to bring nonstop entertainment to whoever adopts him.

Whether you're looking to adopt the whole wrestling-and-racing crew or give one of them a forever home, you'll be getting a cat with serious personality to spare.

Interested in Dolly, Jolene, or Oreo? Apply today — this family won't be on the market for long!

I'm a young mama who is finally ready to be someone's baby. I have already raised a litter of kittens and am now looking for a home of my own where I can be the one getting all the love. I am affectionate without being overwhelming, soft in every sense of the word and have a calm, soulful presence of a cat who has already lived a life. I offer independent companionship as I am perfectly happy relaxing on a cat tree, in a sunny spot or keeping your spot in bed warm for you awaiting your return.

A home without other cats will help me feel secure and allow my sweet personality to shine. I may take a while to trust as I am only a year old, have raised a litter of kittens outside and have only learned the love of humans a few months ago. I enjoy sleeping next to my humans at night and learning to play. I'd prefer a home with humans that enjoy gentle affection, are patient, and willing to give me time to shine. I currently live with a dog, and I am not sure how I feel about it. We ignore one another and I watch from a distance. I am fixed, up to date on all vaccines, can free feed and am litter box trained. 22. Bellatrix

Adult · Female · Tabby / Mixed · 12 mi from Detroit

Bellatrix 7.29.21 Facts About Me Breed: Domestic shorthair Color: Brown and Black Age: 4 years Sex: Female My Info: Spayed Shots Up to Date Good With Male Cats House-trained Not good with dogs Not good with young children My Story: This talkative beauty is Bellatix. Bellatrix was an incredibly young mom, who has raised her kittens well, and is now looking for a nice, quiet home, with a good bird viewing window to spend her days. Bellatrix loves to play! She didn't really get to enjoy being a kitten, and she is making up for it now! Tunnels, lasers, kicker toys, and things with feathers are all her favorite things.

Read more about Bellatrix

When the house is quiet, and the mood strikes her, she is often found by her foster mom having the time of her life playing with a toy. Bellatrix likes cats more than she likes people (which is fair). Anyone looking to adopt Bellatrix needs to be very patient and willing to go at her speed. These days, she is still aloof at times, especially when company comes over, but she does come asking to be petted, often rubbing against legs during morning coffee, and will flop over on her back to get chest and neck scratches. Her favorite spots to spend time with people are on the couch and snuggled up in bed at night. Bellatrix does okay with older children, but loud noises and kids running through the house do send her hiding. She would be best suited for a quieter home. Speaking of safe places to get away, she loves to sit high on top of her cat tree and take naps when she isn't lounging in the catio watching birds. If you're a patient soul, looking to nurture and love a cat who didn't have the greatest start in life, that would like a companion to keep the house from being quiet, Bellatrix might be the cat for you. 24. Violet

Adult (3 years 11 months) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 18 mi from Detroit

Violet VanGogh is still looking for her forever home. She is about 4 years old, and came from a TNR project that in Roseville last year. She was thrown outdoors by her owners girlfriend, after the owner passed away.

She is such a fun and amazing cat. She’s very dog like when it comes to companionship and playfulness. She stares at you with such love in her eyes, it’s like she’s staring into your soul. Just an all-around amazing girl!

Read more about Violet

I feel she would do best in a home either as a solitary cat, or with a gentle buddy. It’s my understanding she lived with a dog before. I imagine with her personality, that could possibly be an option. I feel she would do best with older adults and children.

Her only caveat is she has a tendency to want to enter or exit a room before you do. Not always, but occasionally. Keeping this in mind before you enter and exit your home would be a requirement as I imagine it already is for any other pet that you might have.

I truthfully cannot say enough positive things about her. She is the best TV watching partner, bug catcher, confidant and listener, and unconditional love giver there is. And, you will get the bonus of seeing me ugly cry when she finally finds her forever home. But, they will be tears of joy for her.

Violet Van Gogh is up-to-date on all vaccines, spayed, and will be microchipped prior to adoption. Please share this post far and wide.

Why adopt an adult cat in Detroit

An adult cat's personality is fully formed, so the rescue can tell you how they are with people, other pets and busy households. Many have lived in foster homes and are used to family life.

Grown cats are calmer and need less supervision than kittens, which suits people who work long hours or have young children.
