OFFICIAL NOTICE FROM THE MINISTRY OF MEOW
It has come to our attention that the Sorting Hat may have made an error.
Lady Sally(zar) Slytherin was sorted into Slytherin, but let the record show she is a sweet, gentle soul with a heart of gold (and the softest paws in the wizarding world).

She’s always up for a good play session, with feather wands, crinkle balls, and the occasional zoomies down the hallway. But when things get to be a bit much, she quietly disappears to the highest perch in the house, where she can watch over everything with those big, wise eyes.
Sweet and innocent? Or is she silently orchestrating the whole household from above?
Honestly, we’re not ruling out that this is all part of the plan.
Mischief managed.

5. Mew
Kitten (4 months 20 days) · Female · Calico (short coat)

We are currently doing a special for the month of October where her adoption fee is reduced to $75
Meet Mew! Mew (named after the adorable Pokemon and for the cute noises Mew makes) is such a sweet and beautiful kitten. She has a lot of spunk and personality and loves to play! She would love to find a home of her own where she can be the star of the show!
Mew does need a special home. She tested positive for FIV which stands for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. This means she will have a weakened immune system which can lead her to be more prone to infections. Despite this, she can still live a full and happy life!
Read more about Mew
FIV is transmitted to other cats via bite wounds. While we do not think Mew would bite another cat, this isn't something we can control and we want to keep everyone protected. Therefore, we will not adopt her out to a home that has cats in the home unless if they are also FIV positive. She can go to a home with dogs as FIV cannot be transmitted to dogs.
We believe Mew is about 4 months old. She is spayed, current on vaccines, and has a negative fecal test (negative for all parasites).
The $125.00 adoption fee (
payable by cash or check only
) includes: spay/neuter; vaccinations; microchip; fecal testing w/ giardia, flea prevention, and FIV/FeLV testing.

Meet Joy! We took in Joy and Cassie together. They do very well together and we would love to find them a home together, but we believe they would also do okay apart. We estimate they are between 2-3 years old.
Read more about Joy
Joy and Cassie are both friendly and sweet, but they are shy girls. They love treats! Joy had some missing fur when she first came in to us and she was licking herself a lot causing fur loss on her sides. We tried an allergy medication first which did not seem to help. Then we tried a transdermal (applied onto her ear) anxiety medication called fluoxetine and that has helped her and her fur has grown back! If her anxiety resolves once she is in a stable home, she may not need the anxiety medication anymore.
Both girls are litter box trained.

Adopting a cat in Ottawa County
Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the cat, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your cat in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.
Kittens go quickly, especially in spring and summer. If you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon, and think about adopting two: young cats keep each other company and out of mischief.
