1. Applejack
Kitten · Female · Domestic Long Hair / Mixed · 43 mi from Pentwater

Hi! My name is Applejack and I will be ready for adoption next week! I am about 3 1/2 months old and I'm a girl. I was brought here with my mom and my siblings. My mom was adopted already, so now that we are big enough to get fixed, it is our turn to find our furever people. I am the typical kitten that everybody is looking for. I'm obviously gorgeous, I love playing with other kitties, I love playing with toys, and of course at my age I am very inquisitive and adventurous! You may find me on our website under "ADOPT

2. Fluttershy
Kitten · Female · Domestic Long Hair / Mixed · 43 mi from Pentwater

The last kitten of our fluffy kitten group is Fluttershy! This cutie is about 4 months old and she is also a female. She got her name because she was on the shy side compared to her siblings, but once she realized that people offer love and food, she became just as outgoing as the rest! Fluttershy and her sisters are ready to find their furever home. These kittens have all of the traditional kitten traits- cuddly, playful, troublemaking, loves to climb and explore, and of course they love their treats! If you are looking for a perfect kitten (or kittens) to add to your family, come in during our open hours and meet these cute little fluff balls! You may find me on our website under "ADOPT

Kitten · Female · Domestic Long Hair / Mixed · 43 mi from Pentwater

My name is Rainbow Dash and I am about 3 1/2 months old and a female. I am getting fixed next week, so I am working on finding my furever home to go home to when I'm ready to go!I absolutely love playing with toys, hanging out with and playing with other kitties, and I also I love to be with or around people. While I've been here, I have gained a lot of confidence in myself and have learned that I can climb things to get what I want, or where I want to be. I'm not above pushing things off surfaces to play with it either. We are open today between 12pm-4pm and tomorrow between 12pm-5pm. Come visit me, my sisters, my friends, and really all the amazing kitties that we have here at Noah! You may find me on our website under "ADOPT

Ash is a 1 year old little girl who is ready to find her forever home! She is the sweetest kitty you didn't know you needed in your life! If you sit down and find yourself with a cold open lap, it won't be that way for long! If you go to the bathroom and you forgot your phone, don't worry, we are pretty sure she will be there to keep you company! If you are binging the latest Netflix crime docuseries and need somebody to be your emotional support buddy, she won't leave your side!Ash has no problem sharing you with other kitties if you have any, and although we haven't seen her around doggies, we are sure if they are willing to share you, she would be good with that too!You may find me on our website under "ADOPT

5. Luca
Young · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed · 43 mi from Pentwater

Luca is about a year old and he is ready to find his furever home. He came to us with absolutely no background, one thing we can says with certainty is that he loves people! If he is lonley and can't find a person to give him attention, he will start yelling "hello" until one of us answers him or comes to find him.Another thing he has shown us is that he wants to be the alpha kitty. Being alpha doesn't mean that he doesn't do well with other kitties, it's just that the other kitties around him need to know who is the boss! You may find me on our website under "ADOPT

8. Eli
Adult · Male · Domestic Long Hair / Mixed · 43 mi from Pentwater

Eli is as gorgeous as he is sweet and loving. Eli is 4 years old and he is a deaf, albino ragdoll. Yes, you heard me right, he is 4 years old. All kidding aside, Eli was brought to us not because of any behavors he has because of his differences, he was brought to us because he deserved more than his previous people could provide him, and they knew it. They loved him so much they wanted us to find him a home that would love him as much as they did before their lives changed.Eli is a ragdoll, which means he has some soft hair that can shed like crazy, but with that being said, Eli is obsessed with being brushed so as long as you brush him a few times a week, it isn't a huge deal.

We have also found that he loves watching water drip, he loves going outside on our catio and watch all the animals outside, and he isn't fond of fans, unless they are blowing things around and then he completely forgets and goes crazy trying to catch whatever is being moved around. Eli is living in a room with other kitties right now and he has been around dogs all his life. As long as the animals around him don't stalk him (since he can't hear them coming), he seems to adjust pretty well! You may find me on our website under "ADOPT

10. Mocha
Young · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed · 43 mi from Pentwater

So I wanted to share a quick update about Latte (my daughter) and I. Apparently I'm no longer cool enough to hang out with or even live with anymore. Latte was given the option to go into a room with kittens her age and size, and well you know kids, she dropped me like a bad habit. While I was honestly pretty mad at her and couldn't believe she could/would do that to me, now that I have had time to settle down and I get it, she is growing up and doesn't want to be with mom. Before you get mad at the people here at Noah for not letting me go into the room with her and her new friends, they did try, and I was NOT ok with being with lots of crazy kittens! I climbed on my Noah person's lap and begged her to let me out!Now that I'm on my own, I'm still learning that other kitties are ok.

I have been in my own condo in room 2 so I can slowly get to know the other kitties when people come in to visit or when they are cleaning. I have noticed that I can still get attention while other cats are around, so maybe they aren't so bad!Side note- If you don't remember me, My name is Mocha and I'm almost a year and a half old. I came in with 2 kittiens, with one getting adopted a couple months ago. Latte and I got adopted too, but my people couldn't keep us due to having to move across the country. We've been back for 2 months now, and we are ready to find our furever homes! You may find me on our website under "ADOPT

11. Bailey
Adult · Male · Domestic Long Hair / Mixed · 43 mi from Pentwater

This post has been a long time coming, so sorry ahead of time for the lenghtly post. Bailey came to us 3 months ago scared out of his mind (although we knew he exsisted about 2 years ago but couldn't be caught! He was being taken care of by a cat lover and we knew he was getting the best care he could while being outside.) He had been living outside his entire life (we think to be 3 years) and had never been touched by a human. He came to us in a trap and we honestly figured he would be an amazing barn cat since he survived out in the "wild" for so long and was in very good condition weight and health wise.We tried to give him as much space as we could while keeping us safe while he was settling in.

We tried sneaking in some pets here and there, and although he didn't hate us for it, he wasn't exactly happy either. When we took Bailey to get fixed, we weren't even sure if he was a boy or a girl because he literally freaked out and turned into a feral cat everytime we put more than 1 hand on him at a time. Very begruginly, when we took him to get fixed, we asked them to "ear tip him" just in case he would need to be come a barn cat and got caught up in a TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) situation. While we hoped that he would turn around and start to trust people, he wasn't giving us the traditional signs we see with these types of kitties. After being neutered (suprise, it's a boy!) Bailey went back to being ok with being touched but by only one or 2 people and for a very short time. After some time went by, one of our cat employees went to pet his head like she did everyday he had been there and she thought she heard a purr and it almost looked like he was leaning in, but figured it was the kitty beside him that he was excited to meet, not her. The next day he started making air biscuits (holy crap kept going through her mind, because if she said something outloud he might get spooked). The next day he put his paw on her hand when she went to pull away from his head scratches. The next day he presented his belly for belly rubs (in which he loved!!). His love for people just grew from than and he started letting other people love on him and being a barn cat was no longer an option for this amazing kitty! We knew it was time for him to go into a community room once we found he loved other kitties and felt comfortable with everybody we had him interact with. We think this was actally more stressful for us (we didn't want him to go back to being scared) because he let us pick him up, move him and never looked back! He went straight for one of our kitty towers and he just sat there taking it all in. From this point, Bailey never looked back. He will go and hide under a shelf here and there, but when he sees who is there, he comes out and asks to be pet. Today, after we were cleaning and it was nap time, we saw him on the top of the cat tower and he was sleeping so comfortably. 3 months ago Bailey came to us a very scared kitty, not trusting anybody or anything. Today, Bailey comes to people and asks to be pet, he makes biscuits, he purrs, he presents his belly and demands that you give him the love he so much deserves. While you hear "3 months" and think that is so short compared to some of our other stories, you are right, but think of the 3 years before that where he had never been touched. Bailey deserves to find his furever home where he wouldn't mind having other kitty siblings (we aren't sure about dogs) to play and hang out with when you are busy and he can't get the human attention he now craves! While we do NOT want him to leave us, he is ready for his new chapter and we couldn't be more proud! You may find me on our website under "ADOPT

12. Smokey
Adult · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed · 43 mi from Pentwater

Good morning Facebook friends! This is Smokey coming back to you from room 4. If you remember me from my last post, I was the kitty under the blanket. I am no longer a scared little girl who hides, I've become a confident kitty who loves to explore! While I prefer to be up and watching everything go on below me, I have no problem coming down and hanging out with people getting loved on!I am about 2 years old and I am a girl. I absoultely love to be pet and belly rubs are amazing! I am not overly fond of other kitties, but if you have one, as long as they don't want to be my best friend right away, I think I can handle it.You may find me on our website under "ADOPT

How to adopt from Noah Project
Fees vary by animal, there is an application process that needs to be approved by our director for every adoption.
Adopting a cat in Pentwater
Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the cat, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your cat in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.
Senior cats are often the calmest companions and the slowest to find homes. If you'd like a settled, affectionate cat, ask the rescues about their older residents.
Kittens go quickly, especially in spring and summer. If you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon, and think about adopting two: young cats keep each other company and out of mischief.
