15. Butters
1 Year · Male · Domestic Medium Hair / Mixed

Butters is still looking for a home of his own.
Butters is completely vetted, microchipped, neutered and current on preventatives. He showed up at a home and let himself in thru the cat door and didn’t want to leave.
Butters did test positive for feline fiv which can weaken the immune system a bit but does not necessarily shorten life expectancy.
He should live strictly indoors in a stable social structure (cats who don’t fight; ie all spayed/neutered) and can live with other cats without transmitting the virus. (The virus is normally transmitted thru deep bites only except for mama cats passing it down to their kittens)
Butters showed up to the home unneutered so probably had a scuffle with another male cat while out on the streets before finding safety inside. Fiv is NOT contagious to humans.
Read more about Butters
Butter boy currently lives peacefully with several other cats, uses a little box, and is a very sweet guy.
He would be totally happy as an only cat as he loves human affection. He has not been around dogs that we know of.
An adoption donation of only $50.00, reference checks, and approved application will be required.
Butters comes with two months of Revolution and all vet records. We believe he is around a year old and he weighs ten pounds.
Reach out if any questions and we can refer you to his foster mom… or fill out an application and we will get back to you.
Myrtle Beach, SC.
Our cat application is available at https://peacelovepawsinc.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5352
Please share Butters so he can find a home of his own. The homeowner wanted to take him to a shelter so we offered to help by finishing his vetting and posting him in hopes of finding his people.

Adopting a cat in Columbus County
Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the cat, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your cat in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.
Senior cats are often the calmest companions and the slowest to find homes. If you'd like a settled, affectionate cat, ask the rescues about their older residents.
Kittens go quickly, especially in spring and summer. If you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon, and think about adopting two: young cats keep each other company and out of mischief.
