1. Menschie
Adult · Male · Manx / Bobtail / Mixed (short coat) · 20 mi from Greensboro

Menschie is the Yiddish word for "good boy", and this Menschie is definitely a good boy. Menschie is a Manx/bobtail mix tuxedo boy. He was found as a stray.
While he can occasionally be startled, for the most part he's very laid back and easy going. He loves people and I've seen someone he's just met be able to pick him up and cuddle him. We hope to learn soon if he's good with other cats.
He is up to date on vaccinations, has been wormed, treated for fleas, neutered, and microchipped. He tested negative for FIV, Felv, and heartworms.
His adoption fee is $95

3. Oscar
Young (1 year) · Male · Domestic Medium Hair / Mixed (medium coat) · 28 mi from Greensboro

Oscar was found trapped in a garbage bend. He had been there for awhile because you see all his bones. Since being in rescue he has gained his weight back and made himself right at home. He loves sleeping on my bed and being rubbed. I don’t think his former home ever played with him because he was confused by cat toys. He is gorgeous medium hair blue cat with the most mesmerizing yellow eyes. He is tall and sleek…could have been a super model. Although he is ok with my other cats I think he would prefer to be the only one. He gets a little bossy with my older cats but really liked the foster kitten Presley. He has been completely vetted and combo tested negative. He is believed to be around 1-2 yrs old.

4. Willow
Adult · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 42 mi from Greensboro

Willow is one of Mary Ashburn's friendliest "Spirit" kitties. She is about 5-8 years old and needs a soft place to land since Mary passed away last month. Please consider giving Willow safe and secure senior years. Mary had a heart for the animals that others overlooked or gave up on. Every animal that came into LPAH’s care was loved deeply by her. At Lending Paws a Hand, Inc. ’s shelter facility, Mary had spirit cats. Spirit Cats are not for everyone, but they are very special cats for some. They are very shy with people. They live in your home, but are rarely seen – especially by visitors. They are cats who live with you, and who may bond deeply with you or only just grant you the opportunity to touch them…or not. We are now faced with the hard decision on where to relocate Mary’s spirit cats The cats all get along with other cats, are older, and some will come up for a pet now and again. They have all lived indoors, therefore, we would not recommend a “barn cat” scenario for them unless you’re willing to still feed them everyday and not expect them to hunt. You can learn more about spirit cats here: https://lpah.org/spirit-cats/

Please reach out to LPAH if you’re interested in adopting one (or more) of our spirit cats in the rescue. They are desperately in need and we are running out of time! https://lpah.org/spirit-cats/

12. Rudy
Young (5 months 1 day) · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 42 mi from Greensboro

Rudy is a spunky cutie pie. The lightning bolts of white across her face and side suit her zingy personality. Though she is likely the runt of her litter and started off more scrappy and reserved, she has blossomed into an energetic, robust girl. She is bound to make you giggle, loves hiding and then popping out during playtime, and likes pets and rubs. She would do well with someone who appreciates the small, quirky, and powerful and
will make her life loving and fun. Rudy needs to be adopted with her other siblings, Isla, Chickadee, Misty or Sterling or live in a home with another young cat.

14. Baldur
Adult (3 years 4 months) · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Tabby / Mixed (short coat) · 42 mi from Greensboro

Loki and Baldur recently lost their human dad. These kitties are a cuddly, bonded pair used to small apartment living. Loki and Baldur are neutered, up to date on vaccines, micro-chipped and negative for FeLV/FIV. Baldur is the first to greet you with his sister, Loki close behind. He loves to be brushed and petted. Baldur is VERY playful. It doesn't take much to get him interested in a toy. Currently, the plastic "springs" are his favorite. I find them all over the place. He is also a very easy-going kitty, and loves to be in the same room you are.

16. Maya
Young (11 months) · Female · Tuxedo / Mixed (short coat) · 28 mi from Greensboro

Maya was born into a feral community in our neighborhood. When she was 8 months old, I was able to capture her after realizing she was blind. She only weighed 4 and a half pounds at that time. She has been with us for about 2 months. During this time, she has had her left eye removed, has been spayed, and now weighs a little over 6 pounds. She has very little sight in her right eye.

However, Maya is amazing. She has mapped my entire house using just touch, sound, and her whiskers. She does not like to be picked up or carried because it disorients her but loves to be on the chair with you and to be petted, sometimes sitting in your lap. She knows exactly where her food, water, and litter are. She has never gone outside of her litter box. She loves to play with toys. I have several that either smell of catnip or make noise so she can easily find them. She is a beautiful black and white cat with a very loving nature. She gets along well with my dogs, even playing with them. She is very gentle and has not scratched me in play. She has scratched me when I pick her up because it confuses her. She is so smart and is so happy for all she has been through. Just a wonderful cat.

Georgie is a wonderfully low-key kind of kitty. He enjoys playing, but he's also a hard core napper. He is easy to pop into a carrier, and everyone at the vet's office marvels at how relaxed he is. With such a cheerful disposition, he just wants to be part of a loving family. Open your home to Georgie and you won't be disappointed.
