From her foster "Cleo "mama" as we like to call her. Has really come out of her shell since she isn't having to actively raise her babies anymore. She has become my shadow and follows me around the house all day. She loves to play with her babies and tolerates our 60 lb dog but does not love him by any means, she has zero reaction to our other cat even around her kittens. Bringing a cat home to your dog

Tell the rescue about your dog: their size, age and energy. A cat who has lived with a calm dog may still be nervous around a bouncy puppy.

Introduce them slowly. Keep the cat in a room of their own for the first few days, swap bedding so they get used to each other's scent, and then let them meet with the dog on a leash.

Make sure the cat can always get somewhere the dog can't reach, and keep the litter box and food bowls out of the dog's way.
