1. Hans & Zimmer

Adult (2 years 5 months) · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 96 mi from Springfield

Hans and Zimmer are 2½-year-old brothers who have been together their whole lives. They're best friends, and wherever one goes, the other is usually close behind!

Hans is the handsome all-white boy with beautiful green eyes. He's the calm, easygoing brother who takes life as it comes. He's also the nurturing one, always looking out for Zimmer. Hans is usually the first to come say hello, and as long as his brother is nearby, he's happy just about anywhere. He's simply a sweet, happy-go-lucky guy.

Read more about Hans & Zimmer

Zimmer, the grey and white tuxedo with equally beautiful green eyes, is quite the character! He's a self-proclaimed tough guy who really isn't tough at all. He's a bit of a momma's boy, very tuned in to people's moods and emotions, and has a personality all his own. One thing Zimmer absolutely does NOT approve of is closed doors! He needs to know what's happening on the other side, and he'll make sure you know it.

There's a fun story behind their names. The boys were named after their family's favorite composer, Hans Zimmer. When their people leave for work, they turn on Hans Zimmer's music through Alexa to keep the boys company. And believe it or not, the music actually helps calm them down when they're getting a little too rambunctious!

Hans and Zimmer are good with respectful children but haven't lived with dogs or other cats. They are very attached to each other and must be adopted together.

Their family wants them to have a wonderful new home and will send along their medical records, cat supplies, food, and favorite toys to help them settle in.

Adult (9 years 11 months) · Female · Tabby / Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 96 mi from Springfield

Cat is a very cuddly 10-year old cat who loves to snuggle under the blankets with her person and she always likes to be near.

It takes her a while to warm up to new cats and dogs but once she does she rules the house with them. She loves singing and will come running anytime someone starts.

She doesn’t do well with toddler age children which is why we sadly have to rehome her, having to keep her separated from our toddler at all times isn’t the best life with her.

She does great with older kids she just prefers children who know what gentle hands means. She loves a lick of ice cream here and there and will be your perfect movie watching buddy.

7. Parker

Adult (5 years 5 months) · Male · Domestic Medium Hair / Mixed (medium coat) · 96 mi from Springfield

Parker, estimated to be about 5 years old, showed up in the Orenco neighborhood in Hillsboro, wandering around without a home of his own. Luckily, a kind person noticed him and decided to help. After making sure he was neutered and received his first vaccinations, Parker came into the care of Cat's Cradle Rescue, where he's been enjoying life as a foster kitty.

One of the sweetest things about Parker is how he asks for attention. He has these great big paws, and when he wants you to pet him, he'll gently put one on your arm or lap. It's pretty hard to resist him when he does that!

Read more about Parker

Parker loves to cuddle, but he's a long boy and likes to have enough room to stretch out and get comfortable. He also has wonderfully thick fur and a big, happy purr. With the colder weather coming, he'd make a pretty nice lap warmer!

We don't know how long Parker was out on his own, but we're glad someone cared enough to help him. He's such a sweet boy, and we'd love to see him settled into a home where he can stretch out, be loved, and never have to worry about being on his own again. Hubie is a big, beautiful 6 year old boy with a fun personality. He loves to explore, wander around the house checking things out, and entertain you with his silly antics. 10. Saint

Adult (1 year 7 months) · Male · Tabby / Mixed (short coat) · 96 mi from Springfield

Saint has had a rough start in life, having been neglected since he was a kitten. But underneath that handsome, soft coat is a big sweetheart who just wants to know he's safe, loved, and finally home.

Saint will need a little time to settle in and learn to trust his new surroundings. But once he feels comfortable, you're in for a treat! He absolutely loves head scratches, or "scritchies and lovies," as we call them. And when he's really enjoying himself, he slobbers all over you!

Read more about Saint

Saint is playful, curious, and independent with just the right amount of attitude. He likes to keep an eye on what's happening around the house, almost as if he's making sure everyone is safe. He enjoys interacting with people and even banters back and forth with the other cats through the door. But Saint can be a little territorial, and we think he'd be happiest as the one and only cat in a calm home where he doesn't have to share his kingdom.

And then there's the carrier! Saint is still working on his traveling manners and can put on quite a dramatic performance when he's inside. But the minute he's let out, he looks around as if to say, "What? I just wanted OUT, people!" He's quite the character!

We used to tell him, "You're no angel, but you are a Saint!" And over time, he really has grown into his name, although he'll always do things on his own terms. Saint live in Damascas with his rescuer and his rehoming fee is $150. Indoor only.

Welcome this best boy into your world and you will be smiling forever after. Slow intros to cats and dogs to ensure a perfect harmony.

12. Abernath

1 Year · Tabby · 96 mi from Springfield

Aber is a gorgeous, soft-as-can-be boy who has come such a long way since being rescued from a life of neglect outdoors. He was pretty much a feral kitty when he first arrived, but he's been learning how to be a spoiled indoor cat, and his progress has been amazing!

Read more about Abernath

His brother, Broadwick, has been a big part of that. Aber looks to him for reassurance and guidance, and Broadwick seems to know just how to handle his brother's mischievous side. These two are quite the pair! They wrestle, tumble, chase each other around, and then turn into little lovebugs. They would be wonderful adopted together, although both also get along well with other cats.

Aber is a busy boy with lots of kitten-like energy. He loves to play, wants to know what you're doing, and is always happy to have your attention, pets, and especially food! He's curious, affectionate, and just a little ornery.

Aber is still learning that he is safe and doesn't have to worry anymore. When something frightens or overwhelms him, he sometimes gets overstimulated and may nip because he doesn't quite know how to handle those feelings yet. But the improvement we've seen in just the past month has been incredible! He responds well to gentle guidance and is learning more every day.

He can be picked up and held when he's in the mood, and he even goes into his carrier nicely. Underneath all that energy and occasional attitude is a sweet boy who really wants to trust and be loved.

Aber would do best with someone who understands cats, has patience, and enjoys a playful, sometimes mischievous companion. Having Broadwick by his side would be a wonderful bonus! Abernath is indoor only and lives in Damascus with his family. His adoption fee is $150

13. BOO, ASH and CINDER

Young (3 months) · Male · Domestic Medium Hair / Mixed (medium coat) · 96 mi from Springfield

Hello, We are Ash, Cinder & Boo. We do not like to brag, but we are the most beautiful kittens you will ever meet, we're also three of the most affectionate. Almost perfect! Ash is the extremely handsome all black kitten. Boo is the cute little tuxedo guy, and Cinder is the dashing ginger boy. We are living in a foster home with big cats and small dogs. We are not exactly best friends with the other pets, but we are learning to coexist. After all, we are adorable, but we also know we are not in charge of the entire household. (however, we are plotting the take over).

Read more about BOO, ASH and CINDER

We have not met any children in our foster home, but our foster mom believes we will do just fine in a home with gentle and respectful kiddos. We do have opinions of our own, and we are not afraid to express them. We do get lonely when we don't have a buddy to play with or snuggle with, so our foster mom feels we would be best adopted as a pair or into a home with a friendly young cat who could be our new sibling.

We love watching the world go by as we sit in the window seat or in our cat tree ~ indoors of course! We're looking for an indoor only home where we can be pampered, adored and admired for the gorgeous little creatures we are. Our foster mom loves us bunches, but she says it is time for us to find our very own forever home. We think this sounds like a pretty good idea, especially if our new home comes with comfy places to nap, toys to chase, and humans who are willing to provide an appropriate amount of admiration. Do you think we are the kittens you have been waiting for? Fill out a pre- adoption application, and lets arrange a meeting. We promise to be charming

14. Woodland Crew Kittens

Young (3 months 6 days) · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Tabby / Mixed (short coat) · 96 mi from Springfield

Meet Hans & Frans, Uncle Baby Billy & Aimee Leigh. These four kittens were found orphaned in the woods and are now learning that the world can be a safe, wonderful place.

The three ginger tabby brothers are a playful little hunting team, and their slightly older sister from another litter, Aimee Leigh, has been helping care for them while learning to trust humans herself. Bring out a fisher toy and the whole crew springs into action! They chase, strategize, and take turns catching their “prey.”

Read more about Woodland Crew Kittens

These little survivors are actively socializing and still building confidence, but they're making amazing progress. Slurpy treats straight from your fingers? Yes, please! Crunchy treats hand-delivered? Absolutely! They're okay with being picked up, and once you start petting them around their chins and necks, the big purrs begin to rumble.

Twice the kittens, twice the fun! These little woodland friends would love to be adopted in pairs so they can keep a familiar friend by their side as they settle into their new homes. They already know the comfort of growing up together, and having a sibling or trusted companion can help make the transition to family life a little less scary and a lot more fun.

They're not hiding anymore, but they're still learning to feel safe and confident in their surroundings. Their future adopters should be prepared to set them up in a secure, kitten-proofed space with no inaccessible hiding places where they could disappear or become difficult to reach. A smaller, safe room with cozy, accessible beds and familiar comforts will help them settle in, build trust, and continue their socialization. They'll need patient people who understand that earning their trust is a process and who will celebrate every little victory along the way.

They're not quite cuddly lap kittens yet, but they're curious, playful, and learning every day that human hands can bring kindness, comfort, and snacks. With time, consistency, and gentle interaction, they have so much potential to blossom into wonderful companions.

These babies need patient adopters who will let trust grow at their own pace and give them the safe environment they need to succeed. In return, you'll get front-row seats to their transformation from woodland babies into confident, cherished companions. Pairs $300. Indoor only. These kittens live in Tigard with their rescuer.

15. Emma

Adult (3 years 5 months) · Female · Tuxedo / Domestic Long Hair (long coat) · 96 mi from Springfield

Emma is a petite, long-haired tuxedo girl about 3 - 4 years old, who really just wants a quiet, comfortable home. She's not a clingy cat, but she does like being close to her people. When everyone is sitting on the couch, Emma will usually curl up on the loveseat nearby. She likes being part of the family without having to be right in the middle of everything.

Emma's favorite time of day is definitely mealtime! This little girl LOVES her tuna, and don't bother trying to convince her that some fancy new flavor of canned cat food might be better. She's made up her mind!

Read more about Emma

Emma currently lives with two other cats and she doesn't care for the elderly female cat and spends a lot of time hiding from the younger male. She isn't fond of dogs either. Being such a petite little girl, I think she'd simply feel more comfortable if she didn't have to worry about other animals. Her best home will be to have you all to herself.

Emma isn't the kind of cat who demands your attention every minute. She's perfectly happy just knowing you're nearby. Give her a soft place to curl up, a peaceful home, and her favorite tuna, and I think you'll have one very happy little kitty! Emma lives in Beaverton with her owner and her rehoming fee is $50.

17. Rocky

Adult (7 years 11 months) · Male · American Shorthair / Tabby / Mixed (short coat) · 96 mi from Springfield

Rocky is an 8-year-old American Shorthair with a sweet personality and a funny little way about him. He loves it when you talk to him, especially if you give him a few head scratches while you're at it. He's quite the purr machine when he's happy! Rocky also has a playful side and loves a good game of hide-and-seek with his favorite person.

Rocky is a little sensitive to loud noises and he would love a quieter home where he can relax, feel safe, and just be himself. Once he gets comfortable, you'll get to see what a loving and entertaining companion he really is.

Read more about Rocky

Sadly, Rocky's owner is moving and will be staying with family who have dogs that aren't friendly with cats. As much as his owner would love to keep him, it just wouldn't be a safe situation for Rocky.

At 8 years old, Rocky still has plenty of playfulness and affection to share. He's not asking for much—just a peaceful home, someone to chat with him, a little playtime, a warm lap to sit on and plenty of those head scratches he loves so much.

Rocky lives in Tualatin with his owner and his rehoming fee is $100. Indoor only.

Adult (7 years 11 months) · Male · Bombay / Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 96 mi from Springfield

This very personable, 8 year old kitty, is fully vetted and ready for a new home. He has had bloodwork and a dental and is a healthy boy! Betelgeuse is the perfect cat for someone who wants a cat companion. Somewhat dog-like, Betelgeuse seeks out his person for pets and interaction, chirps when he has something to say like, “what’s for dinner?” and curls up next to his foster to watch TV together.

Read more about Betelgeuse

Betelgeuse does not seem to be much into toys at his foster home, at least not yet. He’d rather follow his foster around, sleep on the bed, lay on the couch and be wherever his person is. Very relational, Betelgeuse will be a wonderful friend to whoever adopts him. He is not a fan of other cats or dogs; he just likes his humans!

19. Mimi

Young (5 months 28 days) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Tabby / Mixed (short coat) · 96 mi from Springfield

Mimi is a sweet, playful 6-month old girl who can turn just about anything into a toy! If she can't find her favorite toys, she'll happily find something else to entertain herself. She loves watching the world go by from a window and enjoys playing with her furry friends.

Mimi is wonderful with kids and people of all ages. She grew up with a small dog and another cat, so she's used to having animal companions, although we don't know how she'll do with unfamiliar dogs or cats.

She's also a pretty quiet little girl who rarely meows, even when she's hungry. But if she wants you to open a door, she'll let you know!

One of Mimi's sweetest habits is curling up beside you when you lie down. She loves sleeping next to her person, just like a warm, cuddly stuffed animal.

21. Nova

Young (1 year 1 month) · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 96 mi from Springfield

Nova is a sweet, spunky, and energetic 1-year-old cat with a big personality who plays actively and would love an energetic dog or equally playful cat who likes to interact. He enjoys being around people, playing with his favorite wand toys, and soaking up the sunshine on his window seat when playtime is over.

Read more about Nova

Nova is neutered and an indoor cat who would love a home where he can get plenty of attention, playtime, and cozy spots to relax. Nova does well with dogs and older children, but he can play a little too rough and likes to be in charge when it comes to other more sedate animals. Because of this, he would do best in a home without other cats or young children and his ideal family would understand his energetic, spirited nature and help him channel his playful energy in positive ways.

Nova is still young with the potential to be a wonderful companion. We hope to find him a loving home where he can feel comfortable, get the attention he craves, chase his favorite toys, and enjoy many sunny afternoons in his window seat.

22. Sophie

Adult (2 years 5 months) · Female · Tabby / Torbie / Mixed (short coat) · 96 mi from Springfield

Sophie is a mistress of biscuits! She has an incredible talent to knead, drool, and purr simultaneously. She is happy to be cuddled next to you, or on you, but is hesitant to be picked up and carried. She would do well in a multi cat household, unknown history with dogs and children.

This pretty little lady likes the good life with lots of time for biscuit making, of course. In the sunshine is her favorite spot and on your lap or near you is even better! 23. Yoki

Adult (5 years 11 months) · Male · Sphynx (hairless cat) (short coat) · 96 mi from Springfield

Yoki is 6 years old. We adopted him from a Sphynx breeder in Washington. He is incredibly loving with his humans and loves to snuggle and be warm, and is a huge fan of his canned soft cat food (Friskies pate is our go-to for him). He is highly intelligent and aside from cuddling, he loves to bird watch at the window and play with toys (especially when we partake, he loves interacting with his people).

Read more about Yoki

Yoki would need to go to a home without cats as he prefers to be “the baby” and doesn’t want to share his parents’ love with another cat. He has not been around dogs, but I’m assuming he’d still prefer to live with no other cats/dogs. We have 6 cats at home and Yoki deserves to be somewhere he will be spoiled with love and attention and not have to compete so much for it with other cats.

Knowledge of the physical needs and personality traits of Sphinx cats is expected prior to inquiring about adoption. Yoki lives in Clackamas with his family and is indoor only. His rehoming fee is $475.

He is confident, curious, and enjoys meeting new people and friendly cats. His owner developed allergies to cats she didn’t know she had, and has to rehome him. She describes him as “such a good boy—he listens relatively well to instructions about manners.” He is very playful and has lots of energy. He would do well with another active kitty to chase and tussle with. He would likely adjust to a cat-friendly dog with a proper introduction. 28. Chowder

2 Years 6 Months · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Tabby / Mixed · 96 mi from Springfield

Chowder is a beautiful 2½-year-old cream-orange tabby with great big eyes, an adorably round head, and a silly personality that makes him especially easy to love. He is as cute as he is loving and absolutely precious in the affection he shares with the people he trusts.

Chowder is just as happy relaxing like a couch potato as he is playing, cuddling, or sharing an engaging moment with his people. He does not want or require constant attention, but he thrives on connection, predictable routines, playtime, and affection on his terms. He is deeply emotional and, once he feels safe, forms a deep bond with his person.

Read more about Chowder

Chowder has a history of eating non-food items. In his previous home, he ate non-food materials such as string, plastic, and paper. This caused significant digestive upset and required veterinary treatment to clear blockages. Since entering Cats in the City Rescue in July 2026, Chowder has gradually received more freedom as he demonstrated stability.

His caregivers have not observed inappropriate eating or play behavior while he has been in our care. He currently displays normal play, eating habits, and digestive health and is thriving. He plays appropriately with plastic, durable, and fabric toys, including when left alone with them. His future home should nevertheless be thoughtfully organized and cat-oriented, with potentially tempting non-food materials kept safely out of reach.

Chowder is neutered, vaccinated, indoor-only, and takes fluoxetine to support his emotional health. He needs to be the only pet, with no cats or dogs, and should not live with children under 8 years old. A slow introduction beginning in a carefully prepared room will help him acclimate before receiving greater access to the home. Chowder is indoor only and lives in Portland. Chowder's rehoming fee is $250.

29. Sasha

Adult (2 years 6 months) · Female · Tabby / Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 96 mi from Springfield

Sasha is a delightful 2–3-year-old tabby who loves being part of the fabric of everyday life. She is social, playful, gentle, curious, and easygoing. She has a sweet purr, gives enthusiastic head bonks when she wants affection, and is rarely too far away from her people.

Sasha originally came from a loving home. When she developed a urinary tract infection and associated struvite crystals, her family made the difficult decision that it would be best for her to find another home able to meet her ongoing needs.

Read more about Sasha

Sasha has not been diagnosed with chronic or idiopathic urinary crystals. Before coming into our care, she spent approximately six months eating a regular diet without experiencing another problem. She is healthy, active, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and indoor-only. Her recent veterinary examination and urinalysis found clear urine with no deposits. Her veterinarian nevertheless recommends that she remain on a prescription urinary diet as a precaution.

Sasha has lived around other cats and can coexist with respectful feline companions, but what she truly wants is a space of her own. She should be the only cat in her new household so she can relax, receive the individual attention she enjoys, and fully become part of family life.

A respectful, cat-friendly dog may be possible with a careful introduction. Sasha may also do well with respectful children over 8 years old.

Sasha dreams of a home where she can follow her people from room to room, curl up beside them or in their laps, climb into bed at night, and greet them at the door when they return—ready to tell them all about her day. She does not need to be the center of everything; she simply wants to belong.

The truth is that the only thing standing between Sasha and a loving home is her prescription diet, which helps safeguard her urinary health. Sasha is a very special, healthy cat, and she is more than worth that small investment in her continued well-being. Sasha lives in SE Portland and her rehoming fee is $250. Sasha is indoor only.

30. Samson

Adult (5 years) · Male · Tabby / Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 96 mi from Springfield

Sweet Samson is an affectionate, emotionally sensitive, and energetic domestic shorthair tabby estimated to be approximately 5 years old. He is neutered, current on his vaccines, and has transitioned to an indoor-only life.

Samson loves playtime, attention, and cuddles, and he really wants to be someone’s best friend. He is an excellent conversationalist who enjoys communicating with his people and being involved in whatever is happening around him.

Read more about Samson

Samson is very smart and learns quickly. He has already learned to sit for treats and would thrive with someone cat-savvy who enjoys keeping both his active mind and active body engaged. Although he is now an indoor-only cat, he would probably love having access to a secure catio, though this is not a requirement for him.

Samson lived outdoors for several years without the consistent care he needed. When he arrived, he was dealing with flea dermatitis, hair loss, intestinal parasites, and the need to regain weight. Samson has now reached healthy weight, completely regrown his fur, and his emotional health has dramatically improved with routine and consistency.

Samson is learning that affection, routine, and safety can be dependable. He benefits from individual attention and from people who notice when he is stimulated or becoming overwhelmed. A predictable environment helps him feel secure, confident, and more in control of his emotions.

Samson needs to be the only cat in his household. His experience with dogs is unknown, although he might be able to live with a calm, non intimidating dog following a careful introduction. He may also do well with respectful older children over 12 years old.

This sweet boy has been through a great deal, but his desire for love has remained beautifully intact. Samson is looking for someone who will nurture his playful side, engage his remarkable intelligence, enjoy his conversations, and appreciate his enormous capacity for connection. Samson lives in SE Portland and his rehoming fee is $250. He is indoor only.

How to adopt from Cat's Cradle Rescue

Adoptable cats and kittens are shown on our website with detailed profiles and pictures. To help our potential adopters learn more about the cat(s), we encourage them to first contact and discuss with the foster family if it might be a good fit. Potential adopters must submit an adoption application for review and evaluation. We also have onsite Adoption Events on a weekly basis. Our adoption counselors are present to handle the interview and adoption process. Our adoption fee for single kitten is $120 and $200 for a pair. Adult cat adoption fee is $60. We require that adopted cats be mainly indoor cats and no declawing is allowed. Adopters must be over 21 years old and sign a contract that lists out his/her responsibility as the cat's owner.

Adopting a cat in Springfield

Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the cat, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your cat in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.

Senior cats are often the calmest companions and the slowest to find homes. If you'd like a settled, affectionate cat, ask the rescues about their older residents.

Kittens go quickly, especially in spring and summer. If you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon, and think about adopting two: young cats keep each other company and out of mischief.
