1. Dollie

Kitten · Female · Domestic Long Hair / Mixed · 16 mi from Sandy

Hi, I’m Dollie! Just like the legendary Dolly Parton, I’m as sweet as can be, full of personality, and have a whole lot of love to give! I’m a little lovebug who adores being with my people. My foster mom even thinks I might be part parrot because one of my favorite places to be is perched right on her shoulder! I’ve also got a playful, silly side and absolutely love romping around with my kitty friends. Because of that, I’ll need another playful feline friend in my forever home. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate, shoulder-riding little sidekick, I’m your girl! 3. Dusty

Kitten · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed · 16 mi from Sandy

Dusty is a gorgeous grey striped tabby with eyes so dark gold they are almost orange. He is looking for very special adopters who can be patient with his shyness. He was born in a feral colony but has since adapted to inside life, and we’d really like to find him a home so he can stay inside. Dusty gets along very well with the cats and dog he currently lives with. It’s just humans that make him a little nervous. But once he warms up, he loves to sleep at the foot of the bed and even come up closer for tummy rubs and ear scratches. He would be an excellent companion for another cat in the home, especially for owners who can’t be home as much.

He is very low maintenance. But he does need adopters who understand that he will take a couple weeks to warm up, and that he gets easily scared by people. He does not like being picked up and for this reason he’s probably not a good fit for kids. 4. Walter

Adult · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed · 16 mi from Sandy

Meet Walter! He's a big, sweet guy who's very open and friendly with people. He loves pets, attention, and cuddling by your side or feet at night, and his meows are adorable. Long string toys and lasers are his favorites, and he's happy to climb his cat tower between play sessions. He's living with another female cat and loves to play and chase, but he'd do best as the only cat or in a home that will do slow introductions. He's happiest with a freshly scooped box and food left out overnight. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-application

5. Dahlia

Kitten · Female · Domestic Long Hair / Mixed · 16 mi from Sandy

Dahlia is as sweet as she is beautiful. She was the runt of her litter but is the wrestling champion of her siblings. She loves to romp around the house playing with every toy she can find. She is not very demanding of attention but will quietly sit on your lap and stare at you when she wants love. She can be a little shy with new people or new things but comes around quickly. Dahlia needs to be adopted with another playful cat and would love to be adopted with one of her foster siblings Frank, Louie, Jules, Moo, or have another cat already in the home. 9. Graycie

Young · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed · 16 mi from Sandy

Hi there, I'm Graycie! Don’t keep scrolling without checking me out! I give everything 110%. My coat? No basic grey tabby here. I have smoke rings on my sides and even in my tail when it gets puffy. My skills? Watch me leap impressively high for toys and zoom around the room with lightning speed. My hearing? Amazing, so I’ll often run up as I hear you coming. My purr box? Loud and sometimes instantaneous, so you always know how happy I am. I want to be around my people, and I’m also good with kitten-savvy dogs and younger children. I really need a young kitten sibling to wrestle with, so I must be adopted with one of my siblings (Dandelion and Squish) or even one of my same-aged nieces who I get to see from time to time (Clementine and Petunia Pea).

10. Betsy Ann

Adult · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed · 16 mi from Sandy

Hello! I’m Betsy Ann and welcome to my adoption bio page! I love greeting you and will meet you at the door every time you come home. I am quite a chatter box, but my meows are so soft that sometimes they don’t even make a sound, and I’ve been told that it’s very cute. I LOVE being petted and it’s not hard to make me happy. One look into my big, beautiful eyes and I’ll start purring like crazy! I like a warm lap to make biscuits in, a ribbon toy to chase around, and a treat or two here and there. When I’m really comfortable, I’ll want to be as close as possible, which you might be able to tell from some of my pictures! My foster mom says I’m the most gentle cat she’s ever had, because I don’t like to jump on counters, get into things, or scratch furniture.

One of my silly quirks is that I like to be held, but only if you stand in one place! If you start to carry me away, I’ll wiggle and try to jump to solid ground. I’m confident the right person is out there for me! I can’t wait to meet you! Bringing a cat home to your dog

Tell the rescue about your dog: their size, age and energy. A cat who has lived with a calm dog may still be nervous around a bouncy puppy.

Introduce them slowly. Keep the cat in a room of their own for the first few days, swap bedding so they get used to each other's scent, and then let them meet with the dog on a leash.

Make sure the cat can always get somewhere the dog can't reach, and keep the litter box and food bowls out of the dog's way.
