I really am just a baby since I am only about 6 months old! I was living outside for some reason and a nice lady was feeding me. She was worried that I might get PG with all those boys hanging around and asked SCC to make sure that will not happen. I am very sweet and loving and have a very quiet meow; so quiet you almost do not hear it unless you are looking at me and see my mouth move. I do have a great purr motor though! I will most likely need to be an only cat since I can be a little dominating with other cats. Older kids that know how to be nice to kitties, would probably be okay and I did not react to the foster's dog when I was in my carrier and he was near.

I was found near an apartment complex but no one seemed to know who my owner might be or where I actually came from. The lady who found me didn't realize that I had kittens hidden in the area. That was discovered after my foster mom took me to the vet and it was determined I wasn't pregnant but did have nipples filling up with milk! About the same time, another lady found 5 kittens hidden in a blackberry thicket and it was determined that they were mine. Sadly, one baby didn't make it because there were too many fleas and even a bath in Dawn didn't help enough. The other 4 kittens got multiple baths and were reunited with me so we became a family again.

Let me explain why I won't exactly look like my picture when you meet me. When I was inside all the time, I had a beautiful fluffy black coat with those brownish-gray highlights in the sun. However, after my brother, Tyler, and I moved to a different state and couldn't stay with our owners due to apartment rules, we went to stay with our human grandparents. Problems started because the two resident cats didn't like having to share things, so we started going outdoors to keep from having fights. Not an ideal situation to a cat that was used to being pampered and indoors all the time. I ended up with some mats and my highlights went away when my hair wasn't as fluffy.

Button is about five months old and very loving and affectionate. She is living with a foster and cats, kittens and a big friendly dog and Button loves them all. She is spayed, microchipped and dewormed. She is current on vaccines and tested negative for FIV and FELV.

Pepper is a beautiful girl who is very loving and affectionate. She loves to rub cheeks and sit in a warm lap. Pepper has been living with a foster in a home with cats, kittens and a big friendly dog and Pepper loves everyone. She is spayed, microchipped and dewormed. Maxine is a gentle, sweet girl looking for her forever home. Maxine spent her entire life outdoors, but thanks to a kind woman who made sure she always had food and shelter, she was cared for. She had several litters of kittens, and now that she has been spayed, her days of motherhood are behind her. She is ready to enjoy the safe, comfortable indoor life she deserves. Since coming into foster care, Maxine has really started to blossom. She loves being petted and is learning that being picked up can be okay, although she hasn’t had much experience with it yet. She has already come a long way with human attention and is becoming more comfortable and trusting every day.

As you might imagine, the experience left them scared and overwhelmed. After a few days of quiet time to decompress, plenty of good food, and treatment for fleas, their true personalities began to shine.Now Chili is a happy, affectionate kitten who starts purring the moment you offer attention and is perfectly content curling up in your lap for cuddles. He loves to play and is good with other kitties. She was found all alone outside at just 5 weeks old, suffering from an upper respiratory infection. Thankfully, she was able to get the veterinary care she needed, including antibiotics, and made a wonderful recovery. Hi my name is Ambrose. Life on the streets was tough for me but this kind woman fed me and has taken me in. She is working with SCC to find me a home that I can call my own. So, I do have very limited history but, I was tested for FELV and FIV, and apparently, got FIV from life on the streets. It is not a death sentence, like FELV, and I can live with other cats - in my next appointment, in a couple of weeks, When I was recently taken in for my neuter, I also got a dental check up. As for my personality, I am a pretty sweet guy. I do live with a couple of other cats right now, but one is kind of a jerk.

Lella is playful and affectionate. She enjoys tossing and chasing her toys and running through the house, at times racing to be ahead of you, where ever she thinks you may be heading. Lella enjoys pets and soft blankets to knead her paws and bury her nose in. She likes to keep a close eye on her human and will follow around the home. Lella enjoys sitting at the window and looking outside (she loves her cat window perch). Lella may be somewhat aloof initially and will want a private place to perch, usually a high spot. HI, my name is Sylvester, but you can call me "Boots". I am a handsome tuxedo boy that is very sweet and lovable with my human parents but not that great around the other cats in the house. I have been spending a lot of time outside. I have won and lost many a battle outside and acquired FIV along the way. Not being neutered probably contributed to that. There are other cats in the house and I think the die is cast on how well we DON'T get along. My human mom thinks that I should be an only cat. FIV is actually only transmitted to other cats thru bite wounds. I can still live a good life, but indoor is best.

This petite little orange tabby girl is a real cutie pie and very sweet. She is shy at first, but once she gets to know you she is friendly and likes to be petted and purrs her little heart out. She isn't a fan of being held, except on her terms. She is playful and seems fine with other cats once she gets to know them. She would probably be happiest in a quieter home without young children.
