24. Winifred
"Courtesy Post" This pet is not in the custody of Street Paws. We are assisting a family with placing their pet to help the pet find a suitable home.
WINNIE: Part Cat. Part Parakeet. All Heart.
Hi, I’m Winifred, but you can call me Winnie! I’m a young orange girl looking for a home with sunny windows, cozy laps, and a human who doesn’t mind occasionally doubling as a perch. Yes, I like sitting on shoulders. Why should birds have all the fun?
Read more about Winifred
My favorite activities include climbing cat trees, investigating boxes, supervising the world from a window, and perfecting the art of sunbathing. I’ve got plenty of playful, kitten-like energy—but when it’s time to recharge, your lap might just be my favorite spot.
There’s one little thing you should know: I like to take introductions slowly. New places and new feline friends can feel a little overwhelming at first. Give me patience, a gentle welcome, and time to settle in, and you’ll get to watch my curious, affectionate personality blossom. Think of it as earning your way into a very exclusive friendship!
I’d especially love a home with another cat who could become my buddy, with time for us to get acquainted at our own pace.
Have a sunny window, a little patience, and an available shoulder? You might be my purrfect person.
Adoptions are generally limited to an approximately 150-mile radius of Locust Grove, Georgia. Exceptions may be considered under certain circumstances.
The adoption fee for all cats is $125. Each cat receives:
Age-appropriate vaccinations
Spay or neuter surgery
FeLV/FIV testing
Deworming
Flea prevention
A microchip registered to the adopter
To apply to adopt, please complete our Preliminary Adoption Application. Submitting an application does not commit you to adopting. It allows us to determine whether the pet is a good match for your home and family.
As part of the approval process, we verify the veterinary history of current and previous pets, including annual vaccinations and spay/neuter status. Please contact your veterinarian in advance and authorize them to release this information to Street Paws
You must have an approved application before scheduling a meeting with a pet. For additional information, please email info@streetpaws.org.

26. Sadie
Date of birth: 5/18/26.
Photos taken on 9/10/26.
She is the sole survivor from a box left in the bushes at Home Depot.
Sadie is a beautiful little tortie with a gentle spirit, a playful side, and just the right amount of that famous “tortitude.” But Sadie’s version is a little different—she’s less sassy and more selective. ❤️
This special girl had a difficult start in life and proved very early that she is a survivor. Today, she is happy, playful, socialized, and thriving. Perhaps because of everything she’s experienced, Sadie likes to take her time deciding who earns a place in her inner circle.

She’s observant and a little independent, and she isn’t necessarily going to demand your attention the moment you meet her. Sadie believes relationships are worth building.
Once she feels comfortable, though, you’ll discover a sweet girl with a wonderful little purr motor who enjoys affection, playtime, and—very importantly—her snacks! She may never be the cat who needs to be the center of attention, but she has a quiet way of working her way right into your heart.
Sadie would especially love an adopter who understands that some of the most rewarding relationships with cats are the ones that develop over time. Give this beautiful girl the chance to choose you, and you may just find yourself with one fiercely special little friend. ❤️
She is spayed, treated for fleas & worms, tested negative for FeLV/FIV & vaccinated for RCP and microchipped.
Adoption fee $125.00

Adopting a cat with children in Auburn
Bring the whole family to meet the cat before you adopt, and ask the rescue how the cat behaves around children your kids' ages.
Teach children to let the cat come to them, to stroke gently, and to leave the cat alone while it's eating, sleeping or using the litter box. Give the cat a high or quiet spot to retreat to.
Relaxed adult cats are often a better match for young children than kittens, which scratch and nip while they play.
