15. Bear Bear
Kitten (6 months) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 18 mi from Milford

No, my foster mommy didn’t make a typo...my name is “Bear Bear”, not Bear! I am a sleek panther with my stunning black fur. I’m shy in the beginning until curiosity sets in.
I was found in Naugatuck with no mommy. Opal, Harvey’s mommy, took me under her wings and I thrived. It was difficult growing up with Harvey. He is bossy. Please don’t tell him.
I love playing with Harvey and my mommy. I can outrun and out-climb them. Playing king of the kitty tower is my favorite game. I am king of the jungle and no one gets the top but me. I love sleeping on the big bed. I will even allow you to sleep on the big bed.

Kitten (4 months 27 days) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 18 mi from Milford

Meet Carla! She is a petite, pretty brown tabby. Carla was very shy and spicy at first, but with her foster mom's love and persistence, she is coming around nicely. Carla and her siblings, Norm, Coach, and Woody, were born outside in a colony where mama, daddy, and kittens were all trapped. Carla loves when her foster mom puts her on her lap on her back and gives her a neck and cheek massage. She should go to a home with an experienced cat owner who will understand she needs time and patience to build trust. A good home for her would be one with no small children, and a friendly cat to show her the way. She would also love to go with one of her siblings as she loves to play with them and cuddle with them.

Meet Woody! He is a big, handsome white kitten with tabby markings. He is on the shy side but is coming out of his shell nicely. Woody and his siblings, Norm, Coach, and Carla, were born outside in a colony where mama, daddy and kittens were all trapped. Woody loves to be pet. He loves to play hard with his biological and foster siblings. He is often found curled up with one or more of them to take a nap. Woody would need to go to a home with another cat friendly cat or one of his siblings. He has not been introduced to dogs. Very Churu treat and food motivated.

Adopting a kitten in Milford
Kittens usually go to their new homes from about eight weeks old, once they're eating on their own and have had their first vaccinations. Most rescues spay or neuter them before adoption, or include it in the fee.
Think about adopting two. Kittens raised together play with each other instead of your ankles and furniture, and many rescues charge less for a pair.
Kittens need more of your time than grown cats: several small meals a day, plenty of play, and a home with cords and small objects tidied away.
