I’m MAC (DOB: ~07/31/2023), a male Chocolate and White Lambkin, also known as a Nanus Rex, a hybrid cat originally created by crossing the short-legged Munchkin with the curly-coated Selkirk Rex. My outstanding features are my small size, short legs, and soft, beautiful coat, making me a member of one of the rarest cat breeds. When I first meet you, I can be a bit shy and withdrawn, but once I learn to trust and feel comfortable in my new home, I can be sociable, affectionate, and enjoy my human company. My grooming requirements aren’t too heavy. This is because my fur is soft, so gentle brushing a few times a week should suffice to keep my coat knot and mat free. Chip has been through more than most, but you’d never know it by the way she carries herself. After being rescued from a house fire where she and other cats were left behind, Chip decided life was still meant to be lived fully, and she does exactly that every single day.

Ms. Poppyseed Bagel is a stunning medium-haired calico bobtail and the proud mama of the Breakfast Club, but dont let the title fool you—this beautiful girl is barely more than a kitten herself.
Estimated to be only 1-2 years old, Ms. Bagel is young, playful, affectionate, and absolutely delighted to be living the indoor life. Now that she no longer has to worry about surviving outside or raising babies on the streets, she finally gets to enjoy being a kitten at heart herself.

She adapted to home life immediately, used the litter box perfectly, rediscovered the joy of toys, and settled right into the comforts of soft beds, regular meals, and human attention. She has an impressive purr motor and seems endlessly happy to finally be safe. And yes, that adorable little bobtail is completely natural.
What truly makes Ms. Bagel special is how incredibly people-oriented she is. She absolutely adores attention and has never met a stranger. Every new person is greeted like an old friend, and she wastes no time trotting over to ask for pets, affection, and admiration. She thrives on human companionship and simply wants to be wherever the love is.
She's very food motivated, but she's wonderfully polite and has never tried to raid food or counters. She gets along well with other cats, especially her kittens, and she'd be happy to be adopted with one of them if you're looking for a pair. That said, she would also make an exceptional solo cat, as her greatest joy comes from bonding with her people and soaking up all the love and attention she can get.
Ms. Bagel is the proud mom of The Breakfast Club—Egg, Cheese, Toast, Donut, and Oatmeal. Ms Bagel adores he babies, and is especially close with Toast, her gentle little daughter. Some kittens are cute. Dill is a whole personality.
Dill is about 7.5 months old, ultra-confident, ridiculously affectionate, and convinced she belongs in the middle of everything. Sit down and she'll bunny-hop over to launch herself into your lap. Talk to her and she'll tilt her head like a tiny puppy. Pick her up and the purring starts.
She's hilarious, athletic, and a little ninja with feather toys. She also LOVES people, including strangers, greeting visitors with head bumps and purrs like they've been friends forever.

Miso is about a year old and pure affection. He follows his people everywhere, rubs against your legs, gives enthusiastic head bumps, climbs into laps, and will absolutely tell you when he needs more attention. He is sweet, social, vocal, and completely obsessed with humans.
We found Miso outside emaciated, anemic, flea-covered, and badly wounded. After food, veterinary care, and lots of love, he made an incredible recovery and is now healthy, happy, and ready for his home.

Miso is FeLV positive, but FeLV does not define him. It cannot spread to humans or dogs. Miso can be an only cat or live with another FeLV+ kitty. He loves people, is interested in other cats, and is also very fond of respectful dogs.
His other great love? Churu. Miso will happily pose for pictures as long as the treats keep coming.
We can't promise how many years Miso will have. Nobody can. But we can promise that the life he has is worth living and worth loving.

Meet Miya, Tiny Queen, Big Personality
Don’t let her petite size fool you. Miya is a perfect mix of sweet, sassy, playful, and just a little dramatic.
She absolutely LOVES feather toys and will leap and pounce after them like a tiny lioness. She can be a little shy in a brand-new environment, but once she feels safe, her goofy, curious personality comes right out. She’s affectionate, gentle, and an exceptionally good sport about handling and vet care.

14. Buttercup
Buttercup is the sweetest little soul with one very effective way of asking for attention: dramatically flopping onto the floor, rolling onto her back, and presenting her belly for admiration.
At about 1 year old, she's basically a kitten in an adult cat's body. She gets hilarious bunny-hop zoomies, loves toys, laps, cuddles, and has the sweetest little meow for attention or dinner.
Buttercup is incredibly gentle with other cats and genuinely wants to be everyone's friend. She especially loves Powerpuff and Bubbles and would be thrilled to go home with one of them, but she can also make friends with another kind, playful kitty.

16. Betty Bobtail
Meet Betty, the Beautiful American Bobtail Girl! She is a DOLL!
Betty is a gorgeous, affectionate American Bobtail with a big personality and an even bigger heart! She absolutely LOVES people and is happiest when she’s being petted, cuddled, held, or simply spending time with someone. She’s playful, sweet, healthy, and so ready to have a family of her own.

Betty’s story could have ended very differently. She was found living in a dangerous apartment complex among a group of feral cats, where food was scarce and the cats were constantly at risk from passing cars. A kind woman who feeds the feral cats spotted Betty and immediately realized something was different and she was in danger. Betty was friendly! Betty ran toward her as if she were saying, “Please save me!”
Thankfully, she did.
Although Betty survived alongside the outdoor cats, ATE at the same bowls, she doesn’t seem comfortable sharing her indoor space with other cats at the rescue. She may simply be frightened after everything she’s experienced, but we believe Betty would be happiest as the only cat in her new home, where she can soak up all the attention for herself.

Meet Callie, a stunning 8-month-old long-haired calico with a soft coat, soulful eyes, and a gentle spirit. Callie has already done one of the most important jobs a cat can do: she lovingly raised her kittens, and now that all of her babies have found homes, it's finally Callie's turn to be someone's baby.
Callie has had a hard time, born outside, had kittens of her own! SOMEHOW someone dumped her and her three kittens at the CHECKERS fast food restaurant!! She was terrified, finally caught by kind people, had the kittens, was vetted and now she us she is coming around fast. She was sick with an injured eye and URI, but she is all well now. She is shy when meeting new people, but don't let that fool you. That last only a moment. Underneath that initial uncertainty is a sweet, affectionate young cat who clearly enjoys being around people, getting petted, and wants to trust. Hi! I’m MASON (DOB: ~01/18/2019), a male purebred Shaded Silver Persian. I was surrendered to a local animal control with several of my siblings when my owner could no longer care for me. I lacked full socialization at the time I made my way to FFRS, but now I am a good boy - making a 180° turn-around since my intake, allow petting, and I would love a calm home with someone who is patient with me. I am not shy or aggressive – I just don’t yet fully understand this whole affection thing. Sometimes I like it a lot. My main motivation is treats that make me very happy. I forget my lack of socialization skills when someone plays with me.

I can be petted, but I prefer it just be my head and shoulders and I absolutely LUV my neck massages and will reach out asking for one! I will let you know when I’ve had enough petting by backing away. I have have started purring when I'm petted. I don’t seem to mind other cats as long as they are nice to me but have not met any dogs. My manners are wonderful and with patience, I may become a cat who likes to be nearby on the sofa with you or maybe even on the bed. I don’t think I will ever be a snuggly kind of guy, but I am a good gentleman and will be a good companion. I am neutered, up-to-date with vaccines, negative for Feline FIV/FeLV, dewormed, have received flea preventative, and am microchipped. My adoption fee is $300.00.

• OTHER CATS/DOGS/KIDS: My previous owner says I did NOT get along with the other kitty in the home, so perhaps I should be your only kitty. / My previous owner did not think I would be happy living with a dog. / Children in my new home may be nice, but best they are gentle and know how to handle a kitty, and—of course, let's meet!

• PERSONALITY INFORMATION: I was pretty spicy when I first arrived at the shelter. Understandably, my world had turned upside down. I have been decompressing in a foster home for a couple of months, and my personality has really started to shine through. I'm a very playful and curious girl, and I take my job as your official greeter very seriously—I'll be waiting right by the door when you come home! If I feel like I haven't had enough playtime or attention, I'll definitely let you know with a few little cries! I'm a bit demure and shy, and when I first moved into my new home, I was pretty scared for the first week and a half. But once I realized I was safe, I blossomed into a very friendly girl. Now I happily chirp at my people and guests, come over for pets and maybe some playtime, and then retreat to my cat tower when I'm ready for some alone time. I'm independent, low-maintenance, and very easygoing once I'm comfortable and have a routine. I'm not destructive, and I've never damaged anyone's belongings—although I do occasionally like to scratch at the carpet. As long as you're patient and respectful of my space, I'll be a wonderful companion and a very easy cat to love. Oh, and I promise to keep you entertained with my playful antics and bug-hunting adventures!
• SKILLS/LITTER TRAINED STATUS: I keep my area clean, as I am litter trained. My foster's advice is to put three litter boxes in various places where I spend time.
• LIKES/DISLIKES: I love spending quality time with you but remember—I prefer to ask for pets when I'm ready! Most of the time, I'm happy sitting beside you, just enjoying your company. I love being up high at the very top of my cat tower where I can survey my kingdom and watch everything happening outside the window. I'm also quite the little hunter, and if I catch a bug, I may proudly bring you the evidence as a special gift. I enjoy my wet food mixed with 1/4 tsp of MiraLAX and enough water to make a porridge. / Loud noises can still startle me. I'll usually hide for a little bit and then come right back out. Otherwise, I can't think of any dislikes, but I would not be happy if I did not get the love and attention all kitties deserve!
• MEDICAL: I'm current on my annual vaccinations, micro-chipped, combo tested negative and spayed. I am on a special diet of 1/8 c. canned Hill's Prescription Diet w/d with 1/8 c. Hill's Prescription Diet w/d dry kibble twice a day to keep my tummy feeling good.
