1. Piquad

Adult (3 years) · Male · Ragdoll (short coat) · 9 mi from Glenview

Meet Piquad! Your Future Cuddle Buddy Has Arrived.

At 3 years old, Piquad is a handsome Ragdoll with a heart as soft as his fur and a personality that says, “Why stand when you could snuggle?” This sweet, easygoing boy is a professional lounger, an enthusiastic cuddler, and an all-around expert in the fine art of being adorable.

Read more about Piquad

Unfortunately, Piquad’s former owner left the country and simply left him behind. We’re pretty sure Piquad would have preferred a going-away party, a suitcase full of treats, or at the very least, a forwarding address! Instead, this lovely boy is looking for a fresh start with someone who understands that a cat is family, not something you leave behind when life takes you somewhere new.

Piquad is ready to put his unfortunate past behind him and focus on the important things in life: cozy naps, gentle affection, quality cuddle time, and a human who appreciates having a fluffy little shadow following them around. He’s got plenty of love to give and is just waiting for someone to give him a permanent place in their heart and home.

If you’ve been dreaming of a sweet, mellow companion who will make your home feel warmer and your couch feel more occupied, Piquad would like to submit his application. He promises to bring the purrs. You provide the snuggles.

Piquad is ready to love you for life. Let’s make sure this time, forever really means forever.

2. Milkdud

Adult (4 years 11 months) · Male · Tabby (short coat) · 9 mi from Glenview

Meet Milkdud!

If you like your cats big, chunky and just a little bit bossy, step right up. Milkdud would like to meet you.

At 5 years old, this gorgeous black boy is what we like to call a substantial gentleman. He's independent and perfectly capable of entertaining himself—but he also knows that a good ear scratch and a face nuzzle are basic human responsibilities.

Milkdud has opinions. Many opinions. And he isn't shy about sharing them.

Is he bossy? Perhaps.
Does he know exactly what he wants? Absolutely.
Does he think you should accommodate his wishes? Obviously.

Read more about Milkdud

But underneath all that confidence is a sweet guy who genuinely enjoys affection—especially when it's delivered in the form of ear scratches and face rubs. He just prefers to be in charge of the scheduling.

Milkdud isn't looking for someone to smother him with attention. He's looking for someone who appreciates a cat with a big body, a big personality and a very clear set of operating instructions.

Think you can handle the DUD? Come meet Milkdud and see if you have what it takes to become his favorite human.

Fair warning: once Milkdud moves in, he may assume he's the manager.

3. west

Adult (8 months) · Male · Tabby (short coat) · 9 mi from Glenview

Meet West!

West is 9 months old, orange and white, handsome as can be—and packed with all the orange energy you could possibly want!

West and his siblings were rescued after starting life outdoors, and when he first arrived, he wasn't exactly convinced that humans were his people. He was cautious, wary and definitely not ready to hand out trust for free.

Fast-forward a few months and West has completely transformed. He has discovered the joys of people, laps, playtime and being adored. These days, he's a curious, playful sweetheart who has become a full-fledged lap kitty.

So why is this handsome boy still here?

Read more about west

Well… West has committed the terrible crime of growing. He's almost full-sized, so people tend to walk right past him thinking he's an adult. But make no mistake—he is still very much a kitten, complete with zoomies, curiosity and plenty of classic orange-cat shenanigans.

West has a few important opinions: Temptation treats? YES. Fresh chicken? ABSOLUTELY. Being picked up? Hard pass. He'd much rather climb into your lap himself, which frankly is a perfectly reasonable boundary.

West has already come such a long way. Now he just needs the final chapter: a family of his own.

If you're looking for a playful, affectionate, curious orange boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart, come meet West! He may be almost full-grown, but there's still plenty of kitten left in this boy—and he is ready to find his forever home. i

4. Beetle

Adult (2 years 5 months) · Female · Tabby (short coat) · 9 mi from Glenview

Meet Beetle

Beetle is 2½ years old, beautifully black, incredibly sweet—and sadly, very easy to overlook.

She was born with her hips slightly out of alignment, which means she has a little wobble when she walks and an adorable sashay when she runs. Honestly, we think it just gives her a little extra personality. And despite what some people assume, Beetle is NOT a special-needs cat. She doesn’t need anything special except what every shy cat deserves: a little patience, a little understanding, and someone willing to let her take things at her own pace.

Read more about Beetle

Beetle is quiet and shy at first. She may not be the cat who runs up to greet you or immediately demands attention. But give her time to trust you, and you’ll discover the incredibly sweet girl hiding underneath that cautious exterior.

She has spent far too much time being passed over because people see her little wobble and assume she’s somehow “different.” She is different—but only in the best way. ❤️

Beetle doesn’t need to be fixed. She doesn’t need to be rescued from herself. She just needs someone patient enough to let her show you who she really is.

Could you be Beetle’s person?

If you have a little patience and a lot of love to give, come meet Beetle and give this sweet girl the chance she’s been waiting for. She may need a little time to choose you—but we think she’ll be worth the wait.

Beetle is ready for a forever home. Could that home be yours?

To offer me a loving home, please call the nice people at Touched By An Animal/Cats-Are-Purrsons-Too at (773)728-6336, or e-mail them at TBA@touchedbyananimal.org.

5. Enigma

Adult (4 years) · Calico (short coat) · 9 mi from Glenview

Big, Beautiful & Definitely Her Own Woman!

This gorgeous 4-year-old calico is a BIG girl—with an equally big personality to match!

She’s a people cat who would much rather hang out with her humans than share her space with a bunch of other pets. And honestly, she knows what she likes. She also has a very handy little “tell” that lets you know when she’s had enough attention and would like some personal space.

But when she’s in the mood? Sweet as pie. She can be affectionate, loving and absolutely wonderful company—as long as things are happening on her terms.

Read more about Enigma

She’s beautiful, confident, opinionated and completely convinced that she is the CEO of her household. We’re not going to argue with her.

She’s looking for a home where she can be the star of the show, have a human all to herself, and be loved for the big personality that makes her so special. ❤️

If you like your cats with a little sass, a lot of love, and absolutely no interest in being told what to do, she may be your girl.

6. Blossom

Adult (3 years) · Female · Tabby (short coat) · 9 mi from Glenview

A Sweet Girl Looking for Her Forever

This beautiful 3-year-old white and brown tabby has been through more than any cat should have to endure. First, she lost the person she loved when her owner passed away. Then, just when she had found another home, her second owner was tragically killed by a drunk driver.

Through all of that, she has remained incredibly sweet. ❤️ She’s a little shy at first, but once she realizes she’s safe, her gentle personality begins to shine.

Read more about Blossom

What she really needs now is something she hasn’t had in a while: security, patience, and a forever home. She’s not looking for anything fancy—just someone who will give her time to settle in, let her come out of her shell at her own pace, and show her that good things can happen too.

After all she’s been through, this sweet girl deserves a happy ending. Could you be the person who gives it to her? ❤️

10. Casper

Kitten · Male · Siamese · 11 mi from Glenview

Casper is a breathtaking lynx point Siamese with striking blue eyes, a soft cream-colored coat, and a gentle soul that is still learning how wonderful life can be. While he may not be the type of cat who immediately jumps into your lap, Casper has a quiet charm that draws people in. He loves being near his people, keeping them company with his calm, persistent presence, and watching the world go by from a cozy spot on the couch or a sunny window perch.Casper is looking for a calm, child-free home with patient, understanding adults who can appreciate him for exactly who he is. Rescued from a feral colony, he has made incredible progress with his socialization and continues to blossom every day.

Read more about Casper

He would thrive with an adopter who understands cat behavior and/or has experience helping socialize shy cats to help them build confidence. Casper is not a fan of being picked up or handled roughly, and he prefers to move at his own pace when it comes to affection. He absolutely loves other cats and would prefer to have a feline companion in his forever home. If possible, he would be thrilled to be adopted with his beloved mom and best friend, Flower. One thing Casper never hesitates about is playtime! Wand toys, balls, catnip-filled toys—if it moves, there's a good chance Casper wants to chase it. He can often be found calling out to the resident cats in his foster home, inviting them to join him for a game. He also loves climbing cat trees and keeping an eye on everything from above. Although he is still learning to trust human touch, he has made remarkable strides. He now enjoys gentle pets and has even flopped over for belly scratches from a back scratcher, which remains one of his favorite ways to connect with people. A back scratcher will be a wonderful tool for helping his future family continue building trust and strengthening their bond with him.Casper's journey hasn't been easy, but his progress is a testament to his resilience and willingness to learn to trust. He is curious about people, often approaching for a sniff and wanting to be part of whatever is happening around him. While it takes him time to fully warm up and accept touch from new people, every small victory feels incredibly rewarding. With patience, compassion, and a feline friend by his side, Casper will continue to grow into the wonderful companion he's meant to be.If you're the kind of person who understands that trust is earned and that the deepest bonds are sometimes built slowly, Casper may be the perfect addition to your family. 14. Cinnezac

Kitten · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 11 mi from Glenview

Cinnezac - or Cinnie - is the smart one in the pack. From the day she was abandonned, sick and filthy, in Southern Illinois to her leisure days at the foster home, Cinnie was able to make sure that she and her brother Oatmeal would have a better life. Cinnie is the first of her crew (brother and 4 others) to figure things out. New toys, new food bowls, new people. And she's the smart one to alert her foster mom that bowls need to be filled, toys need to be retrieved, or litter needs to be cleaned. She will lead her foster mom to the situation she wants addressed. She's the Lassie of her crew. She cuddles on her own terms - with humans or animals - but she is a social cuddler.

Read more about Cinnezac

She will join you on the sofa for tv, for work, or for sleep. Usually, she is willing to be part of the cat nap pile, but she also sees a pile as tine that she can get her foster mom to herself, especially for head and back scritches. She gets along well with other cats, young and old, sometimes cuddling with the resident senior. She has been good playing with young children, but she isn't as willing to be cradled as her mates so might be better with older children. Cinnie has not been tested with dogs but has been a curious watcher from the window. As she isn't a fearful cat, she would, most likely, do fine in a hone with dogs. While the most independent of her crew, Cinnie is a young cat and needs a playful mate, especially for hide, seek, and pounce. 16. Brody

Young · Male · Siberian / Nebelung / Mixed · 11 mi from Glenview

Meet Brody — The gentle sweetheart with a brave spirit! This handsome boy is one of the most cuddly kitties you could every hope to meet. Rescued as a stray, Brody has blossomed in his foster home, where he has discovered just how wonderful life can be. He loves snuggling with his human, making biscuits and purring up a storm. He's also wonderfully expressive about his desire for additional pets: He'll softly nudge his foster's hand toward him and provide head bumps to make sure the message is received. And he absolutely adores having his belly rubbed! His favorite place is wherever his people are and he'd much rather be in the same room with his family than off doing his own thing. But when he's not lounging on a lap or sleeping beside his person, he enjoys zooming through his cat tunnel, chasing balls, batting at wand toys and playing with his scratcher.

Read more about Brody

And did someone say catnip? Count Brody in!Then there are the treats. Brody is obsessed! Open the package and he'll come running. His foster says his superpower might be mind control, because he can easily convince anyone to feed him crunchy and lickable snacks all day long. Brody's story makes his transformation especially touching. When his foster found him, he was just skin and bones, likely having suffered significant neglect and possibly abuse (someone had even shaved his beautiful blue-gray coat). Yet, despite everything he'd been through, Brody immediately allowed pets and looked up hopefully, as if asking to be rescued. In the comfort of his foster home, Brody has become the affectionate, playful and trusting boy he was meant to be. His gorgeous fur is growing back and beneath it is a kitty boy with an even more beautiful heart and brave spirit. He has great manners and has been fine in a household with older, respectful children. He can be fearful of pushy cats who don't respect his boundaries, so he may be happiest as your one-and-only kitty. Still, his foster believes he could also do well with a gentle, well-mannered cat buddy, following a slow, thoughtful introduction. Because this sweet, bright-eyed boy with a fluffy tail craves attention, he'll do best in a home where his people have plenty of time to devote to him. He's thrived in a tranquil home, so a calm-to-moderate household may be ideal.Brody has come such a long way — and so deserves a forever home where he can spend his days being spoiled, cherished and very, very loved. 18. Bailey

Adult · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 11 mi from Glenview

Meet Bailey! A beautiful girl with a sweet, timid nature looking for the right person to bring her home.Bailey had a bit of a rough start, being abandoned at a pet store. She was confused and didn't understand why her former owners left her, but after only a few weeks of love from her foster, her personality has begun to truly shine.Bailey is very chatty in the morning, updating you on all the happenings overnight while you were sleeping. She is very inquisitive and likes to watch you do pretty much anything!Like any high class lady, Bailey knows exactly what she likes and what she doesn’t like. Her two great loves are brushing, and wand toys.

Read more about Bailey

She will jump up to sit next to you as soon as you pat the brush on the bed. She loves for you to show your devotion by brushing her beautiful torbie coat. Bailey is also very playful! She enjoys her scratching post, and chasing balls around, but her most favorite are wand toys. She'll happily chase a wand toy, jump up in the air, and roll over on her back when playing. She will use both paws to catch it, like she's catching a bug.As far as what she doesn’t like, Bailey will let you definitely know. One look and her RBF will tell you when you’re about to go too far. If you miss the look she will gently send a paw your way, so make sure to pay attention. She doesn’t use her claws, just a light tap to let you know her boundaries are being pushed. She is iffy about her cat tree so far, preferring cozier spots for her nap time. Bailey likes pets on her head/behind the ears. While she is not a lap cat or a cuddler per say, she will sit next to you for long periods of time, so she would be a great companion for someone who enjoys watching TV or movies on the couch. Netflix and purrs anyone? She is also a stealthy nighttime snuggler and likes to be the little spoon.Bailey needs someone who understands she is going to be shy (at first) and is ok with taking it slow. Bailey will blossom in a home where she is either with another adult cat or the solo cat. She would thrive in a quiet, low key home, with someone who can give her space and support at the same time. 19. Maple

Kitten · Female · Domestic Short Hair · 11 mi from Glenview

Hi, my name is Maple and I love warm hugs! No but seriously… cuddle time is the best time. The second I see a human I start purring, that’s how much I love being around you all! I love quality time on the couch or bed or really anywhere that I can snuggle up with - or on - you! Playtime is also a huge fave of mine. I love playing with crinkly balls, catnip filled toys, wand toys… pretty much everything! You can really see my goofy personality come out during playtime. What more to know? Well, I LOVE wet food. What cat doesn’t?! But seriously… bring on the yummy kitten wet food. I’d thrive in just about any household that promises love and cuddles.

Due to my age, I must be adopted into a furever home with another feline. I am a bit of a diva when it comes to meeting other cats, so I do require a slow introduction first! Ready to bring me home? 20. Squeak

Kitten · Male · Domestic Short Hair · 11 mi from Glenview

Meet Squeak: Professional Wrestler Squeak has not exactly jumped in the ring as a pro, but he certainly is practicing! He loves wrestling with his siblings, chasing them around and perhaps pinning them in a friendly headlock or two. Squeak is a spirited kitten with seemingly boundless energy for play. Give him a ball and he’ll bat it around all over the place, give him a soft toy and he’ll chase it, pounce on it, wrestle it, and chew it. Watching him play is more entertaining than any TV show you’ll find. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that Squeak is such a unique and handsome boy; his soft white fur interrupted by two distinct fuzzy gray hairlines.

How can he look so distinguished while also being the biggest goofball racing around the house? Well, that’s all part of his charm. Squeak has proven to be adaptable to a variety of settings and would fit in well with any loving household. Because he is so young, he must be adopted into a home with another friendly cat so he can continue to grow his social skills and burn off all that kitten energy. He would love to be adopted with his sister Pip! This little guy is such a whirlwind of joy and exuberance, and he is so easy to love. Squeak is ready to tumble into his forever home with his forever people.WE DO NOT HAVE A PHYSICAL LOCATION AS WE ARE A FOSTER-BASED ORGANIZATION. How to adopt from Forever Fortunate Felines

Thank you for your interest in Forever Fortunate Felines, a division of Fortunate Pooches and Lab Rescue. We are very happy to have the opportunity to match you with your purr-fect cat-panion! Once you complete the online application using the below link, you will be able to discuss and ask questions directly to the foster parent. We believe this is a big advantage to you as our organization is completely foster based, we really understand our cats personalities at a deep level. This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family. In order to get the process going, would you kindly fill out our detailed online application located here: https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/11683/generic Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue. Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten. Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day. Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet. We recommend a pet carrier which opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier. If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day. Adopting a cat in Glenview

Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the cat, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your cat in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.

Senior cats are often the calmest companions and the slowest to find homes. If you'd like a settled, affectionate cat, ask the rescues about their older residents.

Kittens go quickly, especially in spring and summer. If you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon, and think about adopting two: young cats keep each other company and out of mischief.
