Read more about Phoenix

Phoenix, is a petite, fluffy gray tabby with a heart as sweet as her soft fur! This lovely 7–9-year-old girl is a laid-back, timid soul who takes her time warming up to new people, but once she chooses you, it’s something special. Phoenix enjoys spending much of her day snoozing in a cozy hiding spot and comes out to play when the house gets quiet at night. She’s happy to entertain herself with anything small enough to catch her paws, but one of her favorite things is curling up on the bed and keeping your feet warm with her cuddles. Phoenix prefers affection on her own terms, so you may need to seek her out for some love until she feels comfortable enough to come asking for pets herself. She currently lives with another cat, two small dogs, and a toddler, whom she mostly ignores. Because she’s sensitive to loud noises and enjoys a peaceful environment, Phoenix would likely thrive in a quieter home where she can relax, settle in at her own pace, and blossom into the affectionate companion she’s meant to be. If you have a little patience and a lot of love to give, Phoenix may just decide you’re her person!

2. Kitten Spot

Kitten · Male · Domestic Long Hair (long coat) · 74 mi from Bowling Green

Meet Spot!
Spot is 5 months old, white with the most perfect black spots, and 100% convinced he is a dog.
He doesn't just walk into a room — he trots in, with that fluffy black tail in the air. He comes when called, follows you from room to room like a shadow, brings you his toys to play fetch, and will happily sit on your feet while you work. He loves a good pillow nap, but he'd rather be right next to you than anywhere else.
Found napping, playing, and posing like a pro, Spot has mastered:

The head-tilt stare that says "throw it again"
The paw-up "shake" (we're still working on it, but he's got the spirit)
The classic flop-and-roll for belly rubs
Guarding his favorite sage-green pillow like it's his job

He's playful, people-focused, curious, and incredibly sweet. Spot would love a home where he can be your little sidekick — on the couch, by the desk, or patrolling the hallway like the good boy he knows he is.
He's not a cat who thinks he's a dog. He's a dog who happens to look like a cat.
Age: 5 months Likes: pillows, people, toys that jingle, being included in everything Dislikes: being ignored, closed doors Superpower: making you laugh at least 10 times a day
Think you need a dog? Maybe you just need Spot.

Read more about Mittens

Meet Mittens, a beautiful 5-year-old Domestic Long Hair with extra toes!!! She is a gorgeous white, dark brown, and black coat and an especially sweet personality! Mittens is a calm, medium-energy girl who enjoys being playful but is happiest spending time with her people and soaking up affection. She loves following her favorite humans out to the garden and hanging out nearby before happily making her way back home. Mittens is very friendly with people, even those she doesn’t know, and has shown herself to be a smart, easygoing, and easy-to-care-for companion. She would likely do best as the only cat in her home, as she can be uncomfortable around other cats. Mittens has an adventurous side and enjoys spending time outdoors, so her ideal home would be a safe, quiet property away from busy roads where she can have supervised or secure indoor/outdoor access. A screened-in porch or another safe outdoor space would also be wonderful for her. If you’re looking for a beautiful, affectionate companion who will happily keep you company around the garden and then come home for some love, Mittens may be your perfect match!

Read more about Alice

Meet Alice! Alice is a beautiful 4.5-month-old long-haired tortoiseshell kitten with a personality as big as her gorgeous coat! This little girl is incredibly active, playful, and always ready for her next adventure. Alice absolutely loves wet food and can never resist a good wand toy. But her favorite activity of all is curling up on your chest while playing cat games on your phone. She’s the perfect combination of silly, playful, and cuddly! Alice does have some special needs. She has a breathing issue that doesn’t slow her down one bit - it just makes her sound like she's snoring. She’s also a little snorty and has a small wobble, losing her balance at times, but neither keeps this happy girl from living life to the fullest. She is a busy, playful kitten who doesn’t let anything stand in her way. Alice loves everyone - cats, dogs, and kids! She would love a home where she can play, cuddle, be spoiled with wet food, and be someone’s very special little girl.

Read more about Pixie

Say hello to Pixie! Pixie is a 3-year-old beautiful, Domestic Long Hair fluffy girl with a sweet-but-sassy personality and the biggest, most expressive eyes - you can’t help but think of a little owl when she looks at you! Her coat is incredibly soft and fluffy, making her resemble a Norwegian Forest Cat. Pixie loves being around her people, but she’s very much an “affection on my terms” kind of girl. She isn’t a big snuggler or lap cat, but she enjoys being nearby, hanging out with you, and getting some pets when the mood strikes. She’s the perfect companion for someone who appreciates an independent kitty who still wants to be part of the family.

When it’s playtime, Pixie is all in! She loves feather wands, anything with a bell, and chasing her toy mice around the house. Pixie is also a very clean little lady and takes pride in keeping herself tidy. At mealtime, she’s a crunchy-food girl through and through—she loves her dry food and isn’t particularly impressed by canned food. Pixie’s ideal home: She would do best with older children and no dogs. She does fine with other cats and would be happy in a home that understands her independent, sassy little spirit. If you’re looking for a gorgeous, entertaining companion who will keep you company, make you laugh, and occasionally grace you with some Pixie-approved affection, this sweet and sassy girl might be the one for you!

Caring for a long-haired cat

Long coats need regular grooming: brushing a few times a week, and every day when they shed in spring, stops knots and mats from forming and cuts down on hairballs.

Get them used to it gently, with short sessions and a treat afterward. A wide-toothed comb and a soft slicker brush handle most coats.
