Dogs, however, are not her favorite, so she would prefer a dog-free household where she can relax and be the center of attention.Black Raspberry came to us after experiencing litter box issues. 14. Picasso

Adult · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

Meet Picasso (FeLV+)

This handsome black-and-white tuxedo boy is as affectionate as he is adorable! Picasso is a sweet lump of love who is ready to find his forever home. With his charming tuxedo markings and the most adorable crossed eyes, Picasso is sure to steal your heart. Estimated to be around 2–3 years old, he has so much love to give and is just waiting for someone special to give him the happy ending he deserves.

One of Picasso's very favorite things is playtime with his fellow FeLV+ friends, Van Gogh and Matisse. These 3 boys enjoy each other's company and would all love a home where they can feel safe, loved, and cherished.

Read more about Picasso

Picasso has tested positive for feline leukemia virus (FeLV). FeLV is a virus that affects a cat's immune system and can make them more susceptible to certain illnesses. Although there is currently no cure, many FeLV+ cats can enjoy a good quality of life with proper care, regular veterinary visits, and lots of love.

FeLV is spread primarily through close contact between cats, therefore Picasso should live with other FeLV+ cats or as the only cat in the home. He has not been around dogs to our knowledge, but he may do well with a cat-friendly pup if introductions are slow and appropriate.

If you're looking for a loving companion with a unique look and a heart of gold, Picasso may be your perfect match! Could you be the one to give this sweet boy his forever home?

Picasso and his FeLV+ friends Van Gogh and Matisse are playing with their foster family. Please ask about them!

Please submit our no-obligation Adoption Application for a meet and greet or to adopt: https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/ . Thank you! (Foster: Rachel B.)

Kitten · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

Looking for a kitten with charm, personality, and good looks? Meet Paris — a sweet, playful, and ridiculously adorable grey tabby with a white chest and cute little white paws. Paris is full of kitten energy and loves a good wrestling match with her sisters, Brooklyn, Florence, Sydney and Bunny (also available for adoption). Paris was born without a tail, similar to her mom and two of her sisters.

Paris is especially fond of playing with the butterfly toy, pouncing like a pro on wand toys, and playing chase and cuddle tag with her sisters. But when playtime is over? She is more than happy to curl up on your lap and purr. Paris is friendly towards people and seeks attention with her quick purring. She gets along with other cats. Her limited interactions with dogs have been positive.

Paris is litter-trained, spayed, vaccinated and would make a great addition to any family.

Sydney is confident and loves to explore new places, people, and pets. She follows her humans around, being very inquisitive about everything going on around her and joining in to help where she can. She loves to play with her sisters, Brooklyn, Florence, Paris, and Bunny who are also looking for their forever homes. Sydney is great with other cats and dogs too.

Whether she's snuggling in your lap, nuzzling up for chin scratches, or quietly keeping you company, she’s always ready to share her affection and interact with her humans. She loves to play with her sisters, Brooklyn, Florence, Paris, and Sydney who are also looking for their forever homes. Potential adopters must first fill out an adoption application. Once approved (vet refs checked, home visit etc) the applicant meets with the pet. If all goes well there is an adoption contract and adoption fee (varies per animal). All dogs/cats are neutered & vaccinated prior to adoption. Adopter must agree to return the pet to CompAnimals if for any reason during the pets lifetime the adoption doesn't work out.

Adopting a cat in Harford County

Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the cat, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your cat in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.

Senior cats are often the calmest companions and the slowest to find homes. If you'd like a settled, affectionate cat, ask the rescues about their older residents.

Kittens go quickly, especially in spring and summer. If you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon, and think about adopting two: young cats keep each other company and out of mischief.
