Meet Honey Bunn and Peppermint!
An inseparable pair of affectionate cats currently in Lewisville, TX. Honey Bunn is an almost twelve-year-old brown tabby Domestic Shorthair, while Peppermint is an eight-year-old Siamese mix with beautiful blue eyes and a mostly white coat adorned with dark brown patches. These two charming boys share a special bond and are looking for a new loving home together!

Honey Bunn, affectionately called Bun, is a laid-back, lovable gentleman who believes relaxation is an art form. Weighing around 20 pounds, this cuddly sweetheart enjoys lounging, playing with toy mice, and making biscuits while purring like a little motor! Despite his size, Bun considers himself a tiny kitten and happily climbs into laps for affection. His funniest habit? Proudly announcing whenever he discovers a toy! He also enjoys drinking water straight from the sink.
Peppermint, weighing around 15 pounds, brings an outgoing, playful energy to their friendship. This social butterfly greets visitors at the door, adores cuddles, and has an almost dog-like personality! He loves exploring, chasing strings and pom-pom balls, and occasionally playing fetch. Leave a cozy blanket unattended, and Peppermint might claim it as his personal snuggle spot!
Together, these boys offer a delightful balance of peaceful companionship and playful entertainment. Both are affectionate, enjoy gentle handling, and have wonderful manners during veterinary visits. They are neutered and vaccinated. Peppermint has a small heart murmur that multiple veterinarians have determined is not life-threatening.
Honey Bunn can be selective with unfamiliar cats, while Peppermint is especially sociable. Both are generally comfortable around dogs, although their compatibility with children is unknown. A calm, caring environment with patient pet parents who appreciate their individual personalities would suit them beautifully.
Most importantly, Honey Bunn and Peppermint must be adopted together. Their friendship is part of what makes them so special!
Are you ready to double the purrs, double the cuddles, and share your heart with these two wonderful companions? To learn more about welcoming this lovable duo, contact adopt@joyfulpets.com.

Meet Cricket and Daphne!
Two bonded six-month-old Domestic Short Hair kittens currently in Vancouver, WA, whose gentle hearts, playful spirits, and serious enthusiasm for lap time make them an especially lovable pair.
Read more about Cricket and Daphne
Cricket, a handsome gray and tan tabby boy, is the resident belly-rub enthusiast! Once he feels comfortable, he wants nothing more than to settle onto a lap, face forward for television time, expose his tummy, and collect as much affection as possible. Belly rubs, neck scratches, sweet conversation, and his favorite pink toy mouse are among his greatest pleasures! When he cannot find his person or feels attention is overdue, Cricket even produces an adorable little “dissatisfied grunt” to summon assistance.
Daphne, a beautiful gray tabby and white girl, has her own charming communication system. She makes a tiny, high-pitched peep when she cannot find her person or would like more attention. She is also developing quite a passion for burrowing beneath blankets and shirts, because apparently ordinary snuggling simply is not close enough! Jingly balls, wand toys, cozy hidey holes, and lap time keep this affectionate girl very happy.
Both kittens are sensitive and shy at first, but their playful sides emerge as they become comfortable. They romp with other cats and can be wonderfully rambunctious together! Neither particularly enjoys being picked up, so a family who lets affection happen on their terms will help them continue building confidence.
Most importantly, Cricket and Daphne have a special bond. Their companionship helps these sensitive kittens feel secure, and they need to be adopted together so they can continue experiencing new adventures side by side.
They are friendly with other cats and suitable for calm, respectful older children. Both are shy around dogs and prefer keeping their distance. They need an indoor-only, peaceful, patient home with plenty of affection, play, companionship, and time to adjust.
Cricket is neutered, and Daphne’s spay is being scheduled. Both are up to date on vaccinations and have no known health concerns. Is there room on your lap for two sweet little shadows who plan to stay close? To learn more about adopting Cricket and Daphne together, contact adopt@joyfulpets.com!

4. Harold AND Calculator
Kitten (5 months 30 days) · Male · Domestic Medium Hair (medium coat) · 51 mi from Peabody

Harold - Male DOB 4/29/2026 Domestic Medium Hair - Brown and White Tabby- Meet Harold — 6 Months of Fluff, Fun, and Full Send Harold is not a cat. Harold is an adventure in a medium-hair tabby-and-white coat. At 6 months old, Harold is 90% explorer, 10% cuddlebug, and 100% convinced your house is a jungle gym built specifically for him. Closets to investigate? He's in. High shelves to conquer? Already there. That mysterious crinkle behind the couch? He will solve the case. This boy loves to play. Wand toys, crinkle balls, mice — all great. But springs? SPRINGS are his soulmate. He will boing-boing-boing a little spring toy all over the house for hours, chirping, pouncing, doing those sideways kitten hops that make you laugh out loud. You will find springs in places you didn't know existed. Harold is friendly, people-loving, and sweet — he does like to check in for pets and short snuggle breaks between expeditions. Because he's a young, active, playful guy, Harold is looking for an active home with another playful cat to wrestle and zoom with. He has way too much kitten energy to be an only cat — he needs a buddy to burn it off with, and to cuddle up with when it's finally nap time. If you want a fun, funny, curious, toy-obsessed sidekick who will make every day more entertaining, Harold is your guy. Harold is fine with respectful children. To our knowledge he has not had experience with dogs. Looking for a pair? Ask about Calculator, Harold's current playmate! Apply for Harold today; he won't be around for long!

Meet Kittycat and Tinker!
Bonded six-year-old Domestic Short Hair brothers currently in Franklin Square, NY, whose sweet personalities come wrapped in two distinctive looks: Kittycat’s gray and tan tabby coat with white accents and Tinker’s white coat with handsome gray patches.
Read more about Kittycat and Tinker
These big, lovable boys have spent their entire lives together, and their bond is an important part of their story! Kittycat, about 18 pounds, is the more outgoing brother, a friendly, affectionate fellow who happily returns the love he receives. Tinker, about 22 pounds, can be shy at first, but once he feels comfortable, his loving side shines through! Both enjoy being picked up, have vocal personalities, and bring plenty of playful energy to their indoor routine.
When playtime begins, Kittycat and Tinker enjoy a variety of interactive cat toys, including favorites from brands such as Frisco, PawsPik, and Catstages. Their playful sides add plenty of fun to the day, and each brother has his own amusing little quirks that are sure to keep their new family smiling! After the fun, these affectionate companions know how to make love a two-way street. Give them warmth and attention, and they are ready to send it right back!
Together, they offer twice the companionship, twice the charm, and countless cozy moments to brighten ordinary days. Kittycat and Tinker currently live alongside other cats. They may be playful or simply tolerant around feline companions, with Tinker sometimes needing a little time to warm up. They are suitable for a family with calm, respectful older children. Because they have reacted to dogs, they need a loving home without canine companions.
Both boys are neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and have a clean bill of health. Their new family should be committed to keeping them safely indoors, treating them as cherished family members, and welcoming both brothers together so they can continue sharing the companionship they have always known.
Could these affectionate, playful brothers be the double helping of feline friendship your family has been waiting to welcome? To learn more about adopting Kittycat and Tinker together, contact adopt@joyfulpets.com!

Kitten (5 months 28 days) · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 51 mi from Peabody

John Brown - Male DOB 4/15/2026 Domestic Short Hair - Brown Tabby- Meet John Brown & Patrick Henry — The Founding Friends!
Two kittens. One unbreakable bond. Double the trouble, double the snuggles.
John Brown is our handsome brown tabby explorer. If there's a toy to chase, a box to investigate, or a corner that might hide adventure, John is already there, tail up, on a mission. He's endlessly curious, wildly playful, and has the cutest little chirp when he finds something exciting.
Read more about John Brown AND Patrick Henry
Patrick Henry is sleek, shiny, and 100% black velvet with a motor that never quits. Don't let his cool, mini-panther look fool you, he is just as playful and curious as John. He loves to pounce, wrestle, and then flop over for cuddles like he didn't just do 20 zoomies around the room.
They are not brothers, but you would never know it. These two are best friends and do everything together: Wrestling matches that end in a tangled nap pile? Daily. Chasing the same spring toy until they both slide into the wall? Absolutely. Curling up cheek-to-cheek to recharge for the next round of chaos? Their favorite. John Brown and Patrick Henry are bonded, not just roommates, but true partners in crime who need to stay together. They give each other confidence, comfort, and a built-in play buddy to burn off all that perfect kitten energy. They're looking for a home together where they can play, explore, wrestle, and then be your little Liberty Bell purr duo at the end of the day.
The pair would fit into any household. Other cats and kids are fine. To our knowledge, they don't have experience with dogs

Meet Cheech and Chong!
Two sweet four-year-old Domestic Shorthair boys currently in Dunedin, FL, whose orange tabby coats, larger-than-life personalities, and heartwarming bond make every day brighter.
These handsome brothers are truly a package deal! Cheech, weighing about 18 pounds, is the adventurous explorer, while 20-pound Chong is his calm, affectionate counterpart. Together, they groom each other, curl up side by side for naps, share their toys, race through the home during zoomies, and keep tabs on one another throughout the day. Their connection is something special to witness, and they need to find their new loving home together.

Cheech is a curious, cuddly shadow who believes everything is better with company! He follows his people everywhere, flops dramatically when noticed, kneads biscuits, and turns on his impressive purr motor whenever affection is available. He enjoys brushing sessions, high hiding spots, and burrowing beneath the covers when unfamiliar visitors arrive. Privacy? Cheech has apparently never heard of it.
Chong is a gentle giant with expressive eyes and a wonderfully affectionate nature. He loves squeezing his big frame into tiny spaces, curling up with shoes, and settling beside his favorite people at bedtime. When he wants to watch lizards through the screen door, he will even offer a little cry to make his request known.
Together, these boys adore boxes, toy mice, feathers, strings, and sunny lounging spots. One of their favorite pastimes is watching the outdoor world and “talking” to birds, frogs, and lizards.
Cheech and Chong are neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations, with no known health concerns. They are affectionate with family, good with dogs, and can be timid at first with other cats before showing their playful sides. A caring environment with a comfortable place to watch the outdoors would make their next chapter especially enjoyable!

We’re friendly, playful and talkative, but can be shy in new places. We love our Churu treats and enjoy attention on our own terms. 15. Appa & Little
Adult · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 56 mi from Peabody

We’re Appa and Little, and we’ve been together through life’s changes. When our previous owner could no longer care for us, we found ourselves looking for a new beginning. We’ve always had each other, and we’re hoping our next chapter is one we get to share too. That’s why we’re looking for a home where we can stay together forever.
I’m Appa, the big guy—the extra-large black cat with an even bigger heart. I’m 8 years old, quiet, playful, and a little shy when we first meet. New situations can make me feel timid, so I need someone who understands that trust takes time. Once I feel safe, I really enjoy being brushed—it’s one of my favorite ways to relax. I’m not a fan of being picked up, but I’m happy to show my affection in my own quiet way.
And I’m Little, a 5-year-old gray tabby with a gentle soul. I can be shy at first too, but once I know you’re kind, I’m incredibly loving. I adore being petted and will happily soak up all the gentle attention you’re willing to give.
We’re both sweet, quiet boys who would love a peaceful home where we can blossom at our own pace. We’re good with other cats and respectful older children, but dogs aren’t really our thing.
If you’re looking for not one, but two loyal best friends, we promise we’re worth the patience. All we need is a little time, a lot of love, and the chance to stay together—just as we’ve always been.

17. Bean & Momo
Young (11 months) · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 12 mi from Peabody

Bean and Momo are a 1-year-old bonded sister and brother, up to date on vaccinations WHO MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER. Here’s what their foster volunteers say about them:
How would you describe the cats' general personalities? Bean and Momo balance each other out wonderfully. Bean is quieter and more polite, while Momo is the rambunctious, adventurous, and slightly bratty brother. Both are shy and skittish with humans initially, but curious and motivated by food/treats. Bean is slightly more approachable for gentle pets if approached slowly, while Momo loves being near the action, lounging on the couch just out of reach, and playing.
Read more about Bean & Momo
Do the cats enjoy being pet? They are both learning to enjoy pets as they build trust. Bean warms up and purrs (with an oddly deep purr for a tiny cat) when relaxed. Momo has recently accepted pets down his back or head/eyebrow scritches, especially when relaxed near another cat or distracted by treats, though he can still be hesitant with approaching hands.
If yes, on what parts of their bodies do they like to be pet? Bean likes pets on her face, head, and back (along with occasional chin/chest scratches). Momo enjoys scritches on the back of his head, eyebrows, and down his back.
Are there any parts of their bodies that they do NOT like being touched? Neither likes sudden movements or being grabbed. Bean will sometimes dart off with a full-body pet. Momo is protective of his personal space when cornered or startled and prefers light, respectful touches.
Do the cats come on your lap? Both will crawl onto your lap for high-value treats (like Greenies or Churus), but they usually move away once the treats are gone.
Do the cats like to be held? No. Neither cat likes being picked up or held; Bean kicks to escape after a few seconds, and Momo gets distressed.
Do the cats sleep in your bed? They are generally kept in a separate room overnight due to young-cat nighttime zoomies. During the day, Bean occasionally naps in the bed if the sun is right, and Momo will venture onto the bed if he thinks everyone is asleep.
Do the cats seek your attention? They seek attention primarily around routine treat times! Momo will run over and look up at you on the couch for evening snacks. Bean tag-alongs quietly with her brother and other resident cats.
Do the cats like to play? Absolutely! They love playing together—chasing each other around the house, tag-teaming rolling toys, and wrestling. They both enjoy laser pointers, feather wands, fake rodents, springs, and electric toys.
What are their favorite games, toys, and scratchers? Laser pointers, plastic springs, feather wands, coir and cardboard scratchers, and playing chase with each other.
How vocal are the cats and what sounds do they make? Very quiet overall. Bean squeaks sadly when everyone is asleep and she wants to play. Momo will occasionally make soft whines if separated or bored. Neither meows frequently.
Do the cats always use the litter box? Yes, 100% reliable! However, both are extremely vigorous diggers, so high-walled litter boxes and a good vacuum are recommended.
What food, frequency, and treats do they enjoy? They eat scheduled breakfast and dinner meals wet/dry food without being picky. Greenies and Churus are their absolute favorite treats (Momo also loves cooked chicken, though he gets possessive with it!). Bean eats patiently, while Momo can be more eager.
Have either of the cats shown swatting, scratching, or biting behaviors?
Bean: Extremely gentle and peaceful. She has never scratched, bitten, or attacked anyone (except playful wrestling with Momo). She accepts treats very softly, occasionally taking a gentle nibble if fingers smell like treat dust.
Momo: Was defensive/swatty when he first arrived, but has improved significantly with socialization training. He now swats much less (mainly if cornered or startled), usually with claws retracted or just trying to reach a treat. He has never bitten or broken skin.

18. Chazzy & Ollie
Senior (10 years 1 month) · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 12 mi from Peabody

Backstory:
Chazzy and Ollie are a gentle, bonded pair of 10-year-old brothers who are looking for a calm, loving forever home to spend their golden years. These handsome boys (Ollie sports a subtle white patch while Chazzy is solid black) joined Black Cat Rescue after losing their longtime owner, and they have been working hard to decompress in their foster home. While they are quite shy with new people, they are sweet-natured gentlemen who find immense comfort in each other’s presence and are slowly learning that the world is a safe, kind place.
Read more about Chazzy & Ollie
Almost 10 years ago Chazzy and Ollie were trapped outside along with their two sisters. The litter was on their own and getting a little too old (6 months or so) to compete with younger, more socialized kittens that year. The amazing woman who rescued them while working to help all of the cats in her community, decided to adopt all four of them. Sadly, Chazzy, Ollie and their sisters recently lost their lifelong person. Chazzy and Ollie are now looking for another amazing person to take a chance on two shy guys.
How would you describe the cat's general personality?
Chazzy and Ollie are very calm, enjoying each other's company in a quiet home. They prefer to stay in their hiding nooks when humans are around, but are slowly showing more personality in foster care as they play with each other when left to themselves. They have great manners in eating and using the litter box, and do not mind being pet every so often.
Does the cat enjoy being pet?
Chazzy and Ollie do not mind being pet, but they do not seek it out either. They will let their foster pet them from inside their cat tree and like being rewarded with treats!
If yes, on what parts of its body does the cat like to be pet?
For now, they have mostly been getting pets on their backs and across their body, though they have also begun to warm up to scritches near their neck as well.
Does the cat come on your lap?
No
Does the cat like to be held?
No
Does the cat sleep in your bed?
No (they have a separate room)
Does the cat seek your attention?
No – Chazzy and Ollie mainly stay to themselves, but with patience, they are slowly becoming more curious about humans. They will pop out of their hiding holes and sit in the room to observe their foster care volunteer from a distance.
Does the cat like to play? What are the cat's favorite games and toys?
Chazzy and Ollie like to play with little mouse and ball toys by themselves, and the toys are often thrown about in various places from day to day. They do not play as much with their foster, and are not particularly interested in interactive games like string toys.
How vocal is the cat? What kinds of sounds does the cat make?
Both cats are not super vocal and have not meowed much.
Does the cat scratch a scratcher? If no, please explain.
Neither cat has clawed at any furniture. They have a scratching post available to them, but their foster volunteer has not witnessed them use it.
Does the cat always use the litter box?
Chazzy and Ollie are great at using the litter box consistently and have great litter box manners.
What food and frequency is the cat currently eating? Is the cat picky about food? What is the cat's favorite treat?

Adult · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 56 mi from Peabody

Sauerkraut & Mewthree!
We may not be the first cats to run up and greet you—and that’s okay. We’re a pair of 5-year-old bonded siblings who like to take our time getting to know new people. The world can feel a little overwhelming at first, so you’ll usually find us tucked away together, giving each other confidence.
We’re two sweet boys looking for a special someone with a little extra patience and a whole lot of love!
I’m Mewthree! I’m the more timid one, and the world can be a little scary for me. But I do enjoy gentle head scratches! And I’m Sauerkraut! I might growl when we first meet, but that’s just my way of saying I’m scared. I actually love head scratches! Once I trust you, I’ll purr and melt my head right into your hand.
We both need time to feel safe and comfortable. We promise that with patience, kindness, and love, we’ll eventually return that love in our own special ways.

22. Albert AND Fig
Young (1 year 6 months) · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 51 mi from Peabody

Albert - Male DOB 3/13/2025 Domestic Short Hair - Brown Swirl Tabby with White
Albert is a big, handsome brown swirl tabby with white who is about as friendly and gentle as they come — and he has a lot to say about it. This boy loves to chirp and talk to his humans, and he will make sure to greet you at the door when you come home, get his pets in, and then go about his day like the self-sufficient gentleman he is. He is not clingy, just warm and communicative in the best possible way.

When he is not busy being charming, Albert loves to sprawl out up high… a long window shelf would be an absolute dream for him, giving him the perfect spot to stretch out and soak up the sun. He also loves a good play session with catnip mice and balls, and has recently discovered the joy of a feather wand toy, which has been a very exciting development.
Albert and Fig have become bonded buddies since being together at the rescue and would need to go home together. They are seen wrestling and playing together often. No dogs would be best for them to help keep their stress level down, and older children may be fine, but they just are a bit afraid of loud noises and would do best in a calmer environment.

24. Puddle AND Puff
Young (1 year 10 months) · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 51 mi from Peabody

Puddle - Female DOB 12/3/2024 Domestic Short Hair - Black and White
Read more about Puddle AND Puff
Meet Puff & Puddle: Looking for double the love with double the personality? Puff & Puddle are a bonded sister duo who answer to their names and are ready to fill your home with play, purrs, and perch parties. Puddle is a lap cat that will run over to sit on your lap as soon as you sit down as long as no one gets to it first. They both love to lay together in a bright sunny window soaking up all the rays. They both also like to chase springs, mice and furry balls. Puddle even stole a bolt from the toolbox because she loved the sound. Furniture: Cat trees + scratcher posts required. Both girls are climbers who believe the highest perch wins.
*Puff is the CEO of Curiosity. She doesn’t sit still long and must be in the middle of everything. She swats for attention when she wants love, acts like she runs the house even though other cats disagree, and prefers firm pets to gentle scritches. Don’t let the sass fool you — once Puff trusts you, she’s a total lovebug. She loves being picked up, cuddles on your lap or in bed, and turns into a purr machine with head + back rubs. Where Puff was attacked by a coyote down south, which is how she lost her eye, she and her sister would need to be in a home with no dogs.
*Puddle is your happy, go-with-the-flow girl. She gets along with everyone and likes to wrestle with Puff. She’s active and playful but way less dramatic than her sister. Give her a toy and she’s thrilled. Give her a lap and she’ll curl up and stay.
Together: They’re the perfect balance. Puff brings the comedy and chaos, Puddle brings the chill. They play, wrestle, and nap together. Because they’re bonded, they must be adopted as a pair. They do tend to think they are the queen and princess of their environment, and may be a little sassy when other cats come around them. They would do better as the only kitties in your home, but with a slow introduction would also be ok with another kitty in the home, just don’t expect them to be buddies other than with each other. Only older children would be best with them.

Why adopt a bonded pair
Bonded cats groom each other, play together and keep each other company while you're out, and they usually settle into a new home faster than a cat on its own.
Pairs often wait longer for homes than single cats, and many rescues charge less to adopt them together.
