7. Sprout / Fern
Kitten · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed · 16 mi from Burnsville

Fern and Sprout, 12-week-old, sweet kittens, are looking for their forever home together! Fern and Sprout are sweet, quiet, introverted tabbies. Together this bonded pair inspires confidence in each other, and you will often find them snuggling together on a cat tree in front of a window. When meeting new people, they may be a little shy at first but will generally warm up quickly when a feather wand or snack is introduced. Fern is an independent lady that makes earning her attention especially rewarding. Fern can get spooked if you approach her too quickly but once you start petting her, she immediately gets her purr motor running, and she doesn’t want you to stop.
Read more about Sprout / Fern
She is more active of the two and enjoys wrestling or chasing around her foster siblings. She is more play motivated than food motivated. Sprout is a calm, gentle presence with the sweetest of faces. She is a natural nurturer and is often seen cleaning her foster siblings and being especially affectionate towards those that may not be feeling well. Sprout is more easily won over with Churus and snacks. You offer her that good stuff, she recognizes you’re ‘good people’ and will allow you to pick her up for snuggles. She just curls up and melts into your arms. Generally, Fern and Sprout are chilled and laid back. They are great at entertaining themselves and each other and are not demanding of their humans’ attention. They are quiet observers that prefer to be in the same room as people. Fern and Sprout are currently being fostered alongside their 3 foster siblings (fellow Pet Haven kittens- Zig, Zag, and Zoom), three resident cats, and a gentle Great Pyrenees dog. They live with their two adult foster parents who both work from home. Fern and Sprout would prefer a quiet, calm home where they know they can be safe. These tabby sisters reserve their attention until they can ensure you are a worthy human. However, once you pass their test, they will be your loyal companions for life. They have not interacted with children yet but the tabby sisters may do okay with them if they are calm and gentle. If you’re looking to add double the love and double the cuteness, look no further than Fern and Sprout!— — —There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. 9. Now / Then
Young · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed · 16 mi from Burnsville

These cute, fluffy bffs, hailing from Nowthen, MN (hence their names), love finding a cozy spot to cuddle, followed by bursts of energy as they play with a variety of toys! They'll snuggle up together or next to/on top of their foster human, and can become little purring machines. They have enjoyed pretty much all of the toys, and love to get their hands on things like paper towels or tissues. Now is a bit more reserved than Then, and can take some time to feel comfortable meeting new people. They are both curious, and like to stay close by so they can monitor all the happenings in the house. Now occasionally enjoys a jog on the cat wheel, while Then likes to be prepared for food and occasionally growls when others approach at meal time, or when he's not into sharing his very favorite toy. These two have typical kitten energy; they are into everything and are always getting into things and running next to/between your feet.
Read more about Now / Then
It’s important to always look down when these two are out and about!Giving them a wide range of toys and engaging in interactive play with them is helpful, along with their wrestling matches in the Octagon that discharge some of their youthful energy. These two live in a townhome with one adult, another pair of kittens and 3 adult cats. (They are currently in a foster with three other Pet Haven kitties: Take Off, and the bonded pair of Squirt and Runa.)They'd do best in an active home that's not empty most of the time, because they love people, but they are okay being by themselves for short periods of time. The kittens are currently separated from the other cats in the evening, so they have access to their own food all night. (This prevents the other cats in the home from devouring the kitten food, which they would love to do if given access.)Their foster human currently works from home most days, and they like to lay on a blanket between her and her keyboard, using an arm as a pillow. Now is currently being treated for lung inflammation and panting. If the issues persist after this treatment, he likely has asthma and we will look at getting him on an inhaler. Their only interaction with children so far was at an adoption event, but they would be fine with gentle, cat-savvy kids. Their forever people will have to be comfortable with brushing and cleaning their beautiful long fur to keep them free of mats. They use the litterbox like champs, but do like to dig sometimes, so a high-sided box would be best. Now and Then are guaranteed to bring double the smiles and kitten fun this fall. Why not come meet them for yourself? There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimates.Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. 10. Blaze
Senior · Male · Domestic Medium Hair / Mixed · 16 mi from Burnsville

Hi there! My name is Blaze, and I’m a handsome, fluffy, 11-year-old Creamsicle gentleman looking for a loving new home where I can spend my days relaxing, playing, and being close to my people. I may be a little older, but don’t let my age fool you. I have more energy than you might expect and still have plenty of playful spirit!I’m a big fan of knit balls, pointers, and hanging toys, and I especially enjoy batting away at my scratching post. When I’m not playing, you’ll probably find me lounging comfortably in my cat tree, keeping an eye on everything happening around me. But honestly, my favorite place is wherever my humans are.
Read more about Blaze
I’m happiest when I can be close to my people, and I absolutely love curling up on a human chest or shoulder for some quality cuddle time.Right now, I’m living with three other cats and a Labrador. I’m the newest member of the household, so I haven’t had tons of time to get to know new friends yet. I’ve had positive interactions with each of the cats, though, and I’m comfortable lounging around the dog. I think I’d enjoy having four-legged friends in my new home, especially gentle ones who might occasionally want to play with me.I do have hyperthyroidism, which is currently managed with methimazole given by mouth twice a day. My medication should keep my thyroid hormone levels in the normal range, and I’ll need a family who is committed to continuing my care. I’m very proud of my lustrous coat, and will need a bit of help keeping it free of mats with regular brushing. My dream home would give me plenty of room to roam, explore, nap, and play while also making sure I get lots of time with my people during the day (a work from home setup would be great!) and at night. I’m looking for a home where I can be part of the family and enjoy all the little things that make a cat happy. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate, playful older guy with plenty of personality left to share, I might just be your man. I’m Blaze, and I’m ready to find my forever family! One last thing you should know about me: I’m very interested in food! I’m clever enough to help myself if food is left where I can reach it, so my new family will want to keep food safely stored in a closed container. Think of it as a small reminder that I’m still a curious guy who likes to keep life interesting! There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. Meet Tortellini O’Neil!
Small kitty, BIG personality! Tortellini O’Neil is a beautiful tortoiseshell girl with a little ninja spice and a whole lot of love to give. Rescued from a sewer and spending time at a local impound, this brave little girl earned her name as a nod to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and their fearless reporter friend, April O’Neil. Now, she’s ready to leave her underground adventures behind and find a forever home where she can live the life of luxury she deserves!
Read more about Tortellini O'Neil
Tortellini has a touch of classic tortie-tude and may be a little spicy when you first try to pick her up. But don’t let that fool you! Once she’s settled into your arms, her ninja attitude melts away, and she transforms into a purring machine.
Think you can catch this little ninja? Think again! Tortellini has SUPER SPEED, especially when she realizes you’re coming to pick her up. She’ll turn it into a game of keep-away, darting off just when you think you’ve got her cornered. Of course, the rules of the game are entirely up to her, and when she finally decides she’s ready to be picked up, she’ll let you know! This girl likes to be in charge of her own adventures, so a little patience and a good sense of humor will go a long way.
On the practical side, Tortellini is a pro at using her litter box and has excellent bathroom manners. She has also met cats and dogs and can coexist happily with other furry friends. She’ll just need slow, thoughtful introductions and time to feel safe and comfortable with her new companions.
As a kitten born around May 2026, Tortellini is ready to start her next big adventure. She’s got the speed of a ninja, the purr of a sweetheart, and enough tortitude to keep life entertaining. 12. Oliver
Adult (3 years 5 months) · Male · Domestic Long Hair / Mixed (medium coat) · 21 mi from Burnsville

Oliver is a very sweet kitty, that is about 3 years old and weighs about 10 lbs. He was taken in during the cold winter, when he was trapped in a porch he came into to for feeding. Originally vetted as a TNR cat, those plans changed when there was an instinct that he could become a pet cat.
Oliver was very patient over the winter and he slowly grew to trust and crave attention, petting, and interaction.
Oliver has become a super lovey dovey, affectionate cat that craves attention and just loves to be looked after.
Read more about Oliver
Oliver seems fine with dogs and will even try to rub on them if they are friendly and not too dominant. If they are dominant he may bat them away from him to give him his space.
We are looking for a foster home (or adoptive home)for Oliver.
He is so sweet and affectionate and just loves to be loved.
Oliver is FIV positive so it will be important that his next home is either as an only cat, or with another FIV positive companion.
We are looking for a foster home and/or an adoptive home. He has not lived with other cats, (he could be introduced as a process) but may thrive with another cat, he seems to seek out the activity of people and animals. Oliver likes dogs.

Bringing a cat home to your dog
Tell the rescue about your dog: their size, age and energy. A cat who has lived with a calm dog may still be nervous around a bouncy puppy.
Introduce them slowly. Keep the cat in a room of their own for the first few days, swap bedding so they get used to each other's scent, and then let them meet with the dog on a leash.
Make sure the cat can always get somewhere the dog can't reach, and keep the litter box and food bowls out of the dog's way.
