3. Razia
Adult (1 year 4 months) · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 20 mi from Dundas

Razia arrived into our care as a (semi-)feral momma. Thankfully, she was young enough and sweet enough to adapt beautifully, over time, to not only living with humans but loving affection from humans. Razia has a huge motor and soaks up loving from those she knows and trusts. She is sweet, gentle, loving and gets along well with other felines. Razia is a year old. She's been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. Razia and her kittens tested negative for both FIV and feline leukemia.
(By the way, she isn't a fan of cameras.)

4. Shomo
Adult (2 years 10 months) · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 20 mi from Dundas

Shomo is an absolutely amazing fella, so very good-natured. We don't know what trauma happened to him, but he came to the rescue needing his tail amputated, cognitively impaired, and needing help with his bladder and bowel. The dear boy simply cannot read others at all. He assumes the very best of absolutely everyone. (We use him to assess other felines as he does not react to their fear.) Shomo happily greets visitors at the door, and he loves everyone. The dear boy cannot resist crinkle bouncer toys, leaping high into the air to catch them. (He isn't the best at landing.)
Read more about Shomo
Shomo needs an extra special home as his bladder requires expressing at least every 12 hours. He has a difficult bladder to squeeze, and he isn't a huge fan of having that done. The dear boy needs someone with strong hands. He cannot urinate on his own. His bladder would rupture if not expressed. We keep his stools firm so that we can control his bowels as well, simply helping him empty his rectum when he urinates (by using external pressure).
This loving fella enjoys cuddling with felines and humans alike. He is available for adoption for $50.
Please note that Shomo is located in New Prague, MN.

He’s incredibly people-oriented and loves being part of whatever you’re doing. In fact, if he thinks you’re taking too long to pay attention to him, he’ll happily let you know until you scoop him up and include him in the fun.

Curious by nature, Sleepy loves to explore. One of his favorite hobbies is figuring out how to escape his kitten enclosure, proudly setting off on tiny adventures before staying close to the people he loves. He’s fast, clever, and always ready to investigate something new.
When he’s not exploring, Sleepy loves to play. Toys, games, and wrestling with his siblings are some of his favorite ways to spend the day. He’s also a big fan of wet food and never turns down a delicious meal.
Although he isn’t usually one to sit still for long, Sleepy does enjoy being held and absolutely adores human attention. He’s happiest in a home where his people have time to interact with him, play with him, and let him be part of the action.
Sleepy thrives with feline companionship and
must
have another cat in his forever home. He would especially love to be adopted with his brother, Happy—the two make an adorable pair and complement each other wonderfully. 9. Happy
Kitten (4 months 4 days) · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 37 mi from Dundas

Some kittens are independent. Happy? He’d much rather spend every moment with someone he loves.
His foster family jokes that Happy’s heart is so full of love, there just isn’t much room left in his brain for thoughts—and honestly, it fits him perfectly. Happy is an easygoing, affectionate little guy whose greatest joy in life is being close to his favorite people and feline friends.
Read more about Happy
True to his name, Happy is exactly that—a cheerful, playful kitten who greets every day with enthusiasm. He absolutely loves human attention and isn’t shy about asking for it! If he thinks you’ve forgotten to admire him, he’ll happily let you know with his adorable little meows until you come give him the love he knows he deserves. When he’s all tuckered out, he’s perfectly content to snuggle up in your arms and drift off to sleep for a cozy nap.
Like any kitten, Happy loves to play. Small toys are his favorite, especially ones he can proudly carry around the house to show off—or tease his siblings with. Whether he’s chasing toys, wrestling with his brothers and sisters, or exploring something new, Happy brings a joyful spirit wherever he goes.
Happy is very much a follower rather than a leader. He looks to the other cats in his home for confidence and reassurance, happily taking their lead as he learns about the world. Because of this, he needs a feline companion and would do best being adopted with one of his siblings—especially his brother, Sleepy, who makes the perfect partner for him. If that’s not possible, he’ll need another friendly, patient cat who won’t mind having an adoring little shadow following them everywhere.
Happy is the kind of kitten who fills a home with laughter, cuddles, and constant companionship. If you’re looking for an affectionate little sidekick who wants nothing more than to love and be loved, Happy is ready to make your family complete.
Please note that this is a strictly indoor cat. This kitten may may require a home with another kitten as kittens are
family oriented and do best when adopted in littermate pairs.

20. Portokali
Young · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed · 37 mi from Dundas

Meet Porto, a good-natured goofball looking for his forever home! This handsome boy's full name is Portokali, meaning orange in Greek. Of course, this perfectly reflects his handsome orange and white coat! Given his delicate nature and sunny disposition, he could easily be called Poppy or Marigold, sure to bring warmth and cheer into your home. Porto loves people! He may be a little cautious or shy with new people at first, but will soon be flopping down looking for a belly rub. His long lean body makes a big beautiful smile on the floor when he flexes his back and fully stretches his legs and belly.
Read more about Portokali
From his round innocent eyes to the tip of his long expressive tail, Porto is full of wonder and happiness! At barely a year old, everything is pretty new to him. He adapts well to his surroundings and is not easily startled by loud noises. He is fascinated by the magic of a flushing toilet, and curious about the sudden sound of a vacuum cleaner. He could spend all day intently watching everything that moves outside, and forgetting that the window is there to keep him safely inside! Did we mention that he's a goofball? After a few bonks to the head he'll look for a quiet place to enjoy a long nap before coming back out to bounce around with some favorite toys. What a joy it is to watch him play! He loves his catnip toys, balls and springs. And he always appreciates having someone nearby to play with or to offer him some affection. For being so young, this silly boy sleeps a lot and quietly keeps himself entertained. He currently lives quite happily with one boring human who he visits throughout the day and sweetly shares space with at night. Porto does well on his own, but he would probably do even better with a friendly feline playmate. Dogs and kids are unknown, but as long as they are gentle and respectful it should be fine after slow introductions. This kitty would not do well with an alpha pet or anyone hyper or overly active. It should be noted that Porto has recently been found to have a mild case of Cerebellar Hypoplasia, which sounds horrifying, but simply means that he wobbles a bit. His balance and movements are not fully in his control because that part of his brain did not fully develop. This does not affect his intelligence, nor his good looks. It won't get worse nor shorten his life, and he's not weak nor in pain. In fact, when Pet Haven paid for him to have an x-ray, the vet said that Porto has an exemplary body with beautiful muscular structure and perfect bones! He just has a derpy disposition, and doesn't know his limitations.Porto is still learning to adjust while he explores and plays like any normal kitty. For example, he can accidentally clear items off a desk when jumping up, or faceplant when getting back down. So far he doesn't even try to get up on counters, but precautions should be taken to ensure his safety as he grows more confident. He needs to be an indoor only cat. His ideal home would not have a second story balcony or bridge landing that he could fall off of. And his people would look for ways to make his world more safe and fun. Most adjustments are relatively simple such as using non-slip rugs, pet gates or padding in certain areas. We all have days where things don't go right, we drop the ball, or the rug gets pulled out from under us. Stuff like that happens all the time in Porto's world. This cute klutzy kitty can show you how to shake it off and go play!— — —There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. Adopting a cat in Dundas
Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the cat, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your cat in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.
Senior cats are often the calmest companions and the slowest to find homes. If you'd like a settled, affectionate cat, ask the rescues about their older residents.
Kittens go quickly, especially in spring and summer. If you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon, and think about adopting two: young cats keep each other company and out of mischief.
