​Pluto is currently unneutered. As a kitten, he was diagnosed with a heart murmur, which meant he could not safely undergo anesthesia at the time. Because he is intact and lives in a household with a spayed female cat, he exhibits natural territorial marking and spraying behaviors.

​This behavior has become difficult to manage in his current environment due to family allergies and sanitary concerns. However, in the right home setup, these behaviors can be far easier to manage or work through.

​Ideal Home Environment

​No Female Cats: Pluto’s marking is heavily triggered by the presence of a female cat. He will do best in a home where he is either the only cat or in a setup without female felines.
​Veterinary Evaluation: A new owner should work with a trusted veterinarian to re-evaluate his heart murmur. With modern veterinary protocols or specialized monitoring, an experienced vet can assess whether neutering might now be safely performed, which could significantly reduce or eliminate his marking behavior.
​Understanding Owner: Someone familiar with intact male cat behavior or experienced with Maine Coons will be a great match for him.

​Rehoming Status

​Pluto’s current family is committed to keeping him safe and loved for as long as it takes to find his ideal forever home—he is in no danger of being sent to a shelter.

It is recommended she be the only cat due to her diagnosis, as it can be transferred to other cats. Humans must also be careful, and it is advised to wash your hands or use gloves when handling her waste.

She is a beautiful girl who is recovering from being in a not so good environment. She is on a special diet and probiotics that gets mixed into her food.

Jade wants to be your friend. She went to the shelter as a "stray", along with her siblings. Jade is the most outgoing kitten. She is also the smallest. She makes herself known and is the first to welcome you, and wants to escape her iso room. She is very confident in herself.

Rachel wants to be your friend. She went to the shelter as a "stray", along with her siblings. Rachal has been figuring out that people are a good thing. When she arrived, she would hang out in the background. She is so much better and trusting. She is not the most outgoing but is also not the shyest.

Nellie needs some extra help to be your friend. She went to the shelter as a "stray", along with her siblings. Nellie is an adorable girl who will need some extra love and attention to help her feel more comfortable. She has made a lot of progress so far. She accepts love and attention but would prefer not to have it. With lots of interactions, she should be just fine.

Taz is a 5-year-old Maine Coon mix with handsome tabby markings and beautiful golden eyes. This affectionate boy is happiest when he's the center of your world. He adores curling up in your lap for afternoon naps, enjoys being brushed, happily accepts treats, and will soak up every bit of attention you're willing to give. Taz loves his people and simply wants a calm environment where he can feel safe.

Stella is Taz's sweet mom, an estimated 9-year-old Maine Coon mix with a gorgeous black and caramel coat and striking yellow eyes. She's a gentle, quiet girl who may be shy at first, but once she trusts you, she'll become your loyal companion. Stella loves chin scratches, whisker rubs, being brushed, and making biscuits when she's content. While she prefers to lounge beside you rather than on your lap, she'll always want to be close to the people she loves.

These two would absolutely love to stay together, and there is something incredibly special about watching a mother and son continue their lifelong bond. However, they can also be adopted separately, if the right homes are found.

Both Taz and Stella would do best in:

A quiet, adult home
No dogs
No other cats (unless adopted together)
Plenty of love, patience, and one-on-one attention

Their family has noticed occasional litter box accidents since the household became much busier with a young child. Because this behavior began only after the major change in their environment, we believe they will flourish again once they're settled into a peaceful home where they feel secure and can receive the attention they've been missing.

Both are spayed/neutered, negative for FeLV/FIV, and have a history of asthma that is currently well managed without medication. Their rabies vaccines are not current because their family observed worsening asthma following vaccination, though their other veterinary care has otherwise been maintained.

Most importantly, they are not in danger of entering a shelter. Their loving family is committed to keeping them safe until the purr-fect forever home comes along.

Monica has an eye injury and may need surgery to remove the affected eye before she is adopted. Cats adapt incredibly well to life with one eye, and Monica certainly hasn't let it slow her down. She plays, explores, and enjoys life just like any other happy kitten. This resilient little girl is looking for a family who will see past her injury and fall in love with the sweet, fun-loving kitten she truly is.

Ripp is a happy, curious kitten who loves chasing toys, wrestling with his siblings, and turning just about anything into a game. Ingrid and her two brothers came into the rescue together. From the beginning, she and her brothers have been playful, well-rounded, affectionate kittens. Ingrid, above all, is adventurous - She was the first of the three to dare to climb all over the foster room and find out what was on the tables, desks, and perch herself up to see what was around. After all three of them are finished eating, Ingrid is the first to come cuddle up next to you for post-meal grooming and eventual naptime. She is mostly all black and poofy, but her face has a beautiful smoky look. All three kittens are very good with young kids, as their 8-year-old foster sibling loves to pick them up, play with them, read books to them, and sleep with them.

Spock is a vocal, social cat with a BIG personality—and one adorable quirk is that he wags his tail like a dog! He loves attention and being near his people and is a great communicator who isn't shy about letting you know what he wants. He especially loves chasing bouncy balls and will sometimes ask his person to throw one for him. He'll chase it down and bring it back to keep the game going—or, if he loses track of his favorite toy, he'll meow for help finding it! Brushing isn't his favorite, but he'll happily accept it with any liquid cat treat. He also isn't a fan of being picked up or having his nails trimmed.

This playful boy does best with larger, confident male cats who can match his rough-and-tumble play style. He got along very well with an older male cat and also did great with dogs. However, he can be too intense for smaller or timid cats, especially female littermates, as he may chase, corner, or taunt them during play. Because of this, we recommend a home with either no other cats or only confident, assertive male cats who can handle his energetic personality.

If you're looking for a fluffy, talkative companion with a big personality who has blossomed into a confident and affectionate cat, Spock may be your perfect match!

Note: Spock has a history of improper litter usage. This has not recurred since the behavior was addressed, and he has been consistently using his litter box.

* 10/6/2026- Paul was adopted out 6 weeks ago and returned to rescue due to occasional improper urination on soft surfaces. (He sometimes uses the box and sometimes does not.) There is no guarantee this behavior can be controlled. Paul's most recent adopter reports he slept with them, loves attention, being held, brushed, and being a part of the household.

Paul was surrendered to rescue due to not urinating in the litter box. While we won't go into details here, if you are seriously interested in him, more information can be provided during your application interview.

While Paul has been in rescue, he has been using the box and no improper urination has occurred.

We are recommended the least stressful environment for Paul, at this time. No other cats, no dogs, and no small children. It will also be in his best interest to be placed in a home with no plans for a move or major life change.

Paul does need some time to settle in. Once he settles in, he enjoys all the attention you can give him. This boy headbutts and rubs all over you.

His former owner said he enjoys being carried around in a sling bag and going out in a harness and leash.
