Here's what Buddy's owner has to say about him!

Buddy Bio

Read more about Buddy

This is Buddy. He is 5 years old. I rescued from an outside blizzard where I heard a very loud kitten screaming. He was scared, cold and starving. He seemed to have been feral at the time with no human contact cuz he was scared to death of people. I had to live trap him to save him the cold. Buddy has came a long way since. He now is learning to more social and trust people. He loves other cats! He is very insecure but another cat makes him feel secure. He is very smart and a pretty big guy. His markings and size remind of a Savannah or a Bengal cat. He is beautiful. He knows his name and will blink at you slowly when you talk to him. He knows the word “bedtime” and will run upon the bed and really open up to being petted at bedtime and even meows for attention at bedtime until you pet him. He loves to eat and will also sit on command for a treat. He is very submissive to other cats. He has only been accepted by a few of the 7 cat household he lives in now. He headbuts with hugs them and rubs all over them. He would thrive in a quiet patient home with another cat to make him feel secure. She is super sweet boy that is slowly coming out of his shell but can tell he wants to trust. He as well has struggled in a 7 cat household and get chased and “put into his place” by the more dominate males. He deserves a quiet and patient home where he can relax and just be a cat with another cat as a friend. He absolutely loves his cat tree where he can relax alone and not be bothered by the other cats.! He loves to watch the birds outside too. He does fear being outside. This guy has a lot of potential to be very lovable cat without so many other cats keeping him on edge. He craves attentions and love but is outnumbered and out ranked in the house. He gets pushed off to the side as the other cats come in for attention and he will submiss to them.

Handsome Buddy is neutered and tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia. Buddy is not a Rose's Rescue cat, we are posting him in order to help his owner find him a new home. 25. Baby

Adult · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

Please read what Baby's owner has to say!

Read more about Baby

Baby
Sweet little girly gal that enjoys her peace and quiet with her person. She is super sweet and like to give hugs when asked to your forehead. She will also give you “kisses” and lick your forehead when asked. She likes to sleep in your bed with you and even knows when you tell her “it’s bedtime”. She likes to play fetch with her mouses and bring it back to ya for more fetch. She doesn’t “meow”…she chirps when you say her name. She would thrive I a quiet and peaceful home. She has shared a household with 7 other cats where she has been constantly stalked and chased and has made her “on edge” all the time. She does “tolerate” to get her nails trimmed….but not a big fan. She has never biten but does get pretty vocal of her dislike of it. She just loves to sit and watch the birds outside and if a bug gets in the house, you say the word “BUG’ and she is on it looking to get it. She does not like soft cat food but she does just adore her cat treats. I would always give her treats after a nail trim as a reward to associate getting nails done with positive reward. You ask her to “sit” and she will sit for her treat.

Note from Rose's Rescue:This beautiful 7 year old tabby girl is spayed and tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia. Baby is not a Rose's Rescue cat, we are posting her to help her owner find her a new home. She is located in the Mogadore 44260 area. Her adoption fee will be $50. Please TEXT ONLY Tammy at 330-730-9756 or email her at tamking1@netzero.net for more information about Baby.

26. Wisha

Young · Female · Domestic Medium Hair (long coat)

Wisha—a young, long-haired beauty—is sweet, chatty, playful, and affectionate. She loves adventure, is very outgoing, and exudes a positive energy that is contagious. Most of all, Wisha is everything her name represents.Hailing from Ireland, the name “Wisha” (wee-sha) is an old-school interjection used to express surprise or excitement. It was originally a euphemism for “A Mhuire!” ("O Mary!") in calling upon the Virgin Mary. The word carries a rustic, folksy feel, and helps to break tension when reacting to a moment or sharing information. Wisha’s personality easily gels with her name’s origin.

Read more about Wisha

She was nothing short of a surprise when she showed up outside of an office building parking lot as a skinny stray cat! A couple of months later, Wisha continues to live up to her name; her vivacious energy when she chases her toys, her chatty nature when she talks to her humans, and her silly and unexpected antics certainly ease tension while keeping you on your toes.Meanwhile, Wisha (wish-a) also means “hope” in Sanskrit, which is equally fitting: she was skinny, injured, and desperate when she was found, but in just a few weeks, she became healthy, clean, and ready for fun. That’s a character arc that captures “hope” pretty well!Wisha is intensely (and hilariously) playful, enjoying ripping around at full speed in pursuit of her “prey” on wand toys. She would do best in a single-cat household with an active family who can give her lots of attention, excitement, and enrichment. She loves all people and is very gentle with humans…including little humans! If you’re looking for an unexpected surprise (or perhaps a burst of hope), why not bring Wisha into your family?

29. French Toast

Adult · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

Meet The Breakfast Club! Breakfast is officially the most important meal of the day... and this adorable crew is guaranteed to be the best part of yours!Introducing The Breakfast Club—six irresistible 12-week-old tuxedo kittens who are overflowing with personality, snuggles, and enough energy to keep your home smiling from sunrise to sunset. The girls: Donut, Muffin, Avocado Toast, and Maple The boys: Jimmy Dean and Shortstack These little breakfast buddies were found when they were just 10 days old, living outside with several mama cats. It truly took a village to raise them!Tiny Mama French Toast—who weighs only 5 pounds and looks like a kitten herself—amazingly helped nurse all six babies.

Read more about French Toast

She's the friendliest of the mama crew and loves having her head scratched. She is not a fan of being picked up, though, so she'd be better off without little kids in the home. Her baby, Maple, follows her around like a shadow. They would make a great adopted pair! Sweet Mama Mimosa happily shared mom duties, while Mama Hashbrown pitched in too, despite being a shy girl who prefers life behind the scenes. Protective Daddy Pancake watched over his little family, cuddling and playing with the kittens every chance he got. He's still a bit bashful and went with Hashbrown to a barn placement. And then there's Aunt Cheerio, who became everyone's favorite cuddle buddy. The kittens still pile up on her like she's their second mama. Cheerio is a very sweet cat who purrs like crazy with pets. She's a little shy at first but has blossomed with her patient foster mom. Cheerio so enjoys hanging with all the other cats in her room. Their story didn't start out easy. All 28 cats rescued from the property were battling coccidia when they arrived. Thanks to lots of love, lots of expensive vet bills and full bellies, every one of them is now healthy, thriving, and enjoying the good life they always deserved.Because these babies came into foster care so young, they absolutely adore people. They don't just like attention—they crave it! Whether they're curled up in your lap, purring in your arms, or racing around the house like a bunch of Energizer bunnies, life is one big breakfast buffet of fun.Like any growing kittens, they're wonderfully playful, so they must be adopted with a sibling or go to a home that already has another young, playful cat. They cannot be a single kitten in a household. The good news? Any combination of these six makes the perfect recipe! And while you're meeting the Breakfast Club, don't forget the rest of this unforgettable brunch bunch!Granola and Oatmeal, two gorgeous tortie girls, may look like kittens but are actually young adults with stunning coats and sweet personalities that blossom more every day.Toast Malone is exactly as cool as his name suggests. He's the laid-back king of the breakfast table and the group's biggest ladies' man. You'll usually find him cuddled up with Oatmeal, Granola, Cheerio... or, if he's really living his best life, all three at once! And sweet Bailey reminds us why rescue is so rewarding. He arrived frightened and full of hisses, but once he realized people could be trusted, he transformed into one of the sweetest boys around.Although some of this crew never adjusted to indoor life, they happily transitioned to life on a farm. Bacon, Latte, Mimosa, Lady Marmalade, Fruit Loop, Strudel, and Hashbrown are all living their best life in pairs at amazing farms around the Pittsburgh area. This incredible breakfast family has overcome so much together, and now they're all ready for the happiest chapter yet—a forever home where they'll never have to worry about another meal, another cuddle, or another sunrise alone.So... who's ready to start every morning with breakfast and a side of purrs?

Meet these two 4-month-old tuxedo girls, Donut and Muffin, along with their sweet Mama, French Toast, who is 5 years old. These dapper ladies are the last three left from a set of 28 cats found outside in an overcrowded colony. They are all a little shy at first, but also super curious cats who love a good adventure around the house. They love to snuggle together and have started seeking out pets, once they are done with kitten crazy time.

She has gorgeous, black shiny fur, big golden eyes, and the most adorable, petite little body. Her signature move is to act all shy, walk up and sniff your hand, purr, then lean in for head scratches before flopping over onto her side asking for belly rubs. Are you looking for your cat to stay a kitten forever? Well then, French Toast is your girl. Donut and Muffin are gorgeous white and black tuxedo kittens. They look so much alike but Muffin has the cutest little patch of black on her chin. Her nickname is"Soul Patch," even though she's a girl. Adopting a cat in Lawrence County

Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the cat, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your cat in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.

Senior cats are often the calmest companions and the slowest to find homes. If you'd like a settled, affectionate cat, ask the rescues about their older residents.

Kittens go quickly, especially in spring and summer. If you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon, and think about adopting two: young cats keep each other company and out of mischief.
