1. Binx
Adult (1 year) · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Meet Binx!
Binx is a sweet and affectionate tuxedo boy who traded life on the streets for the comforts of indoor living and he’s loving it!
This handsome little guy is an absolute sweetheart. He loves being petted, snuggling up with his people, and will
happily accept belly rubs. His favorite things include cuddles, treats, comfy beds, and, of course, mealtime. And don’t worry, if breakfast is running a little late, Binx is not afraid to politely remind you!
Read more about Binx
Although he’s still settling into foster life and we’re continuing to learn more about his personality, one thing is already very clear: Binx loves affection, and being around people.
He’s gentle, loving, and seems very happy to have discovered the indoor-cat lifestyle.
If you’re looking for a handsome little cuddle bug with a big heart (and an even bigger appreciation for snacks), Binx may be your guy.

Curious to his core, Dewey loves smelling everything he encounters — people, furniture, toys, the air — all part of his personal investigation routine.

He’s incredibly friendly and adores people, always happy to be near his humans and soak up attention. Playful and goofy, Dewey brings joy to every room, but he also naps like it’s his full‑time job. When he’s awake, he’s exploring; when he’s asleep, he’s recharging for more weird little adventures.

Once she feels comfortable, Sylvie wants to be right where the action is, whether that's lounging in the living room with her family or keeping you company while you work.
Read more about Sylvie

She loves exploring new spaces, investigating new toys, and figuring out how everything works.

5. Dolly Parton
Young (6 months) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Meet Dolly! This sweet girl was found living in a South Philadelphia parking lot, where a kind attendant had been feeding and caring for her. We were later told that someone had thrown her over a fence months earlier, leaving her to fend for herself. Thankfully, Dolly's days of surviving outdoors are behind her, and she's ready for a loving home of her own.
Read more about Dolly Parton
Dolly can be a little shy when meeting new people, but it only takes a few gentle pets before she's rubbing against you and asking for more attention. She is a sweet, affectionate girl with plenty of charm to share. Because she can get a bit overstimulated during playtime, she would do best with another young or playful cat who can help her burn off some energy and keep her company.
This perfect little lady is ready to trade parking lot life for a cozy couch and a family to call her own. All Dolly needs is someone willing to give her a chance to show just how wonderful she is!

Edie is a deliciously adorable calico who was recently rescued from a colony and is just beginning to discover the joys of indoor life. While we're still getting to know exactly who she'll become, a few things are already crystal clear: she absolutely loves people, adores snuggling, and firmly believes that all available pets should be directed her way. As her personality continues to blossom, one thing is certain, Edie is incredibly gentle, sweet, and loving, and she's ready to find a home where she can shower her people with affection.

8. Fievel
Kitten (2 months 18 days) · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Fievel is an adorable tabby boy who is equal parts playful and cuddly. While he loves to play, he may love cuddling beside you (or on top of you!) even more! Within seconds, he is making biscuits and purring up a storm. He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body and is a fan favorite of his foster mom. This little boy is curious, funny, and absolutely precious in every way.
Read more about Fievel
Fievel was surrendered to ACCT due to too many animals at just a few weeks old. Far too young to be separated from mama and in poor shape. He was absolutely covered in hundreds of fleas, causing anemia, and suffering from an URI. Even as sick as he was, he never let it get him down. He was silly and affectionate from day one.
Fievel has lived with many other cats and kittens and does great with them. Since Fievel is young and playful, he will need a forever home with another kitten or young, friendly cat to keep him company. He could also possibly do well with a calm, respectful dog. He has not met any children, but since he is easy-going, he could be a good match for a home with kids.
Fievel will make an excellent lifelong companion! Are you ready to welcome this loving boy into your life?

9. Samurai
Kitten (2 months 25 days) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Samurai is an adorable tuxedo girl who is timid at first but is learning to be brave and overcome her fears. As her name suggests, she is a stoic warrior with a tragic backstory resulting in the loss of her eye. Samurai is very playful, but reserved, and is usually more content with observing you than pouncing all over you. Still, she is very sweet and does enjoy pets, just on her own terms.
Read more about Samurai
Samurai and her sister, Ninja, had a rough start to their lives — both had bad eye infections when found on the streets and brought to ACCT. Samurai unfortunately had her left eye rupture prior to being rescued and will have the eye fully removed before adoption. Samurai does perfectly well with one eye; it doesn’t slow her down at all! These girls quickly bounced back once in foster care and are now very strong and healthy but surviving on the streets all alone has made them a little shy and cautious in new scenarios. With some gentle patience, you’ll earn both of their trusts in no time.
Samurai is shy and relies on Ninja as emotional support, so we are looking for a home where the two can be adopted together. These sisters are so sweet together, and you’ll love having a pair of bonded kittens! Think you could be the perfect home for two sweet sisters?

Ninja and her sister, Samurai, had a rough start to their lives — both had bad eye infections when found on the streets and brought to ACCT. Ninja was the luckier of the two and has kept both eyes, though her one eye has permanent cloudiness that does not affect her vision. These girls quickly bounced back once in foster care and are now very strong and healthy but surviving on the streets all alone has made them a little shy and cautious in new scenarios. Adult (3 years 3 months) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Russian Blue / Mixed (short coat)

Meet Church!
Church is proof that resilience comes in small, furry packages. Found pregnant and suffering from a severe leg injury, this incredible girl had to have her front leg amputated—but she hasn’t let that slow her down one bit. Church is spunky, playful, opinionated, and an expert cuddler.
She loves to chat and will happily chirp away about her day before curling up in your lap for hours of snuggles. Church enjoys being the center of attention and has plenty of personality to keep you entertained.

13. Maila Nurmi
Young (7 months) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Meet Maila! Despite her dramatic name, this pretty little lady is anything but a dark mistress. Maila is a sweet, misunderstood teen mom who was found living on the porch of an abandoned house in West Philly with her four kittens. A kind Good Samaritan reached out for help, and we quickly brought the family to safety.
Maila has been an incredibly devoted mother, continuing to dote on her babies even as they grow more independent. Now it's time for this young mom to find a home of her own.
Read more about Maila Nurmi
Maila is petite, gentle, and affectionate. She may need a little time to warm up to other cats, though that could simply be her protective mom instincts. We aren't sure how she feels about dogs just yet. She would likely be happiest as an only cat or with a calm, respectful feline friend.
After raising her family, Maila is ready to leave motherhood behind and enjoy the spoiled house-cat life she deserves.

15. Chai
Senior (8 years 1 month) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Chai is a gentle, soft-spoken senior lady (8 years young) who proves that the quietest souls often have the biggest hearts. She may take a little time to warm up — the world can be pretty scary — but once she does, you'll feel like the most special person in the world.
The quickest way to Chai's heart? Good, strong head scritches. Put out your hand and she's sure to head butt your hand, close her eyes, and circle back and forth for more until your hand tires out.
Read more about Chai
Because Chai has no teeth (poor girl had dental disease when she came to Kitten Snatchers), Chai is prone to the most adorable bleps! These little tongue-out moments will undoubtedly bring a smile to your face! But don't worry -- even without teeth, Chai eats dry and wet food just like any other cat.
Chai's ideal home would be with a calm, patient adopter who understands that shy cats just need a little extra time. She came to us from a home with a lot of other cats and would do really well with a kitty friend to help boost her cat confidence. If you're looking for a low-key, sweet-natured companion who will repay your patience with a lifetime of quiet devotion, Chai is your girl!

16. Steve
Adult (6 years 3 months) · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Rescued from a difficult beginning, Steve has faced more challenges and overcome more obstacles than most cats ever will. Living on the city streets, he was found with a broken leg and open wounds on his frail body. Upon rescue he was also diagnosed with, hyperesthesia, a condition that ultimately required the amputation of his tail.
Just when it seemed the hardest days were behind him,
Read more about Steve
Steve was diagnosed with severe stomatitis, a painful condition that made even the simplest things, like eating, unbearable. To give him the chance at a pain-free life, all of his teeth were surgically removed—a big change that brought him much-needed relief. Through every procedure, recovery, and setback, he has shown an inspiring spirit that refuses to give up.
Today, Steve’s wounds have healed and he’s feeling better than ever. He is playful and affectionate and gets along with dogs and kittens. He would likely be fine with adult cats with proper introduction.
Steve may have no teeth and no tail, but what he does have is a heart full of love, and an unbreakable spirit. His only wish is a future filled with comfort, happiness, and a forever home where he’ll be cherished for the sweet boy he is.

18. Snickers
Adult (6 years 2 months) · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Meet Snickers!
Snickers is a clingy, curious, and very vocal guy who loves being involved in whatever you’re doing. He’s extremely food-motivated, likes to use a scratching pad, and isn’t shy about letting you know when he thinks he deserves more attention. In fact, he’s been known to get jealous of your phone if it’s stealing too much of your focus.
Read more about Snickers
As his coloring might suggest, Snickers definitely has a little bit of that classic orange-cat personality in him. He’s affectionate in a mischievous, slightly naughty way: rather than quietly sitting nearby, he’d much rather jump onto your bed, climb onto your desk, or put himself directly in the middle of whatever you’re doing just to see what’s going on. He absolutely loves being pet and also tolerates being picked up and held very well.
He’s the kind of cat who wants to be part of your everyday life. He’s playful, nosy, expressive, and full of personality, and he would do especially well with someone who wants an affectionate companion rather than an independent cat.
Even as I’m writing this bio, Snickers is jumping onto my keyboard, whipping his tail around, and making sure this description is sufficiently about him.
If you’re looking for a cat who will keep you company, make you laugh, demand your attention, and make himself a very noticeable part of your life, Snickers might be the cat of your dreams.

Midnight is the sweetest and calmest boy. He’s incredibly easygoing and quiet—you’ll barely even notice you have a cat at home! He loves spending his days napping, relaxing, and occasionally strolling from his room into the hallway. He loves people, especially head scratches, and now enjoys gentle pets on his back too.

Midnight would be wonderful as an only cat or with a calm, respectful pet. He’s comfortable having other cats around, but he needs his personal space and doesn’t like them getting too close, especially while he’s still getting used to them. Kira is a sweet, affectionate cat with a funny croaky meow that earned her the nickname “Ducky.” She’s a moderate-energy girl who enjoys both relaxing in sunny windows and chasing toys like fuzzy balls and springs.
Kira is a true purr machine who loves greeting her people with happy croaks, head bonks, and full-body purrs. While she’s not always a lap cat, she enjoys being near her humans and will often follow them around the house.

Ruby especially enjoys watching the birds and chattering from the cat tree, so an adopter with big windows and wildlife would be a huge plus for her!

Adult (2 years 3 months) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Meet Biscuit!
If you are looking for a gentle, sun-kissed companion to brighten up your home, look no further than Biscuit! This gorgeous orange tabby is a dedicated cuddle bug.
Biscuit is a total people-cat. She doesn't just wait for attention; she actively seeks it out with the most charming manners. She loves interacting with her human friends and will gently reach out a paw to boop your fingers or ask for a little nose-to-finger greeting.
Biscuit would do well as a solo kitty or with another friend after slow introduction. She may do okay with a dog who ignores her as well.

24. Elsa
Young (6 months) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Elsa is a spunky tabico (tabby calico) kitten who is always ready to join in the fun. Whether that’s wrestling with fellow foster kittens or even the dog, or chasing toys around the room, Elsa loves to be where the action is.
After exploring and playing, Elsa knows how to settle down and join you for cuddle time. You’ll wake up in the morning with her snuggled by your side. She also will excitedly scream at you at mealtime. She is a hungry, growing little girl, after all! Elsa is a bright ray of sunshine with an adorable face to match her adorable personality.
Read more about Elsa
Life for Elsa hasn’t always been carefree and easy. She was abandoned as a tiny 3-week-old kitten in a box outside on a cold winter’s day in northeast Philly where a Good Samaritan found her and reached out to Kitten Snatchers for help.
Even after securing a warm, loving foster home, the challenges didn’t stop for Elsa. One day she was rushed to the emergency vet for a neurological episode that had her hospitalized for two days. The worst of it seemed over, but some symptoms have remained, such as minor head tremors at times. Kitten Snatchers has ruled out a large number of possible causes, but Elsa’s adopter will need to continue supporting her medical needs.
This sweet baby is ready for her forever home: an active household with a furry friend or two to keep her company, and a place where her wellness will be of upmost importance. After her struggles so far, Elsa deserves the best! And in return she will give endless companionship and love.

25. Squid
Young (4 months 12 days) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Meet Squid!
Squid is a truly remarkable young cat with an even more remarkable story. At just a few weeks old, she suffered severe head trauma that caused significant brain swelling and left her unable to even open her eyes. When she first arrived at our amazing veterinary partner, Art City Vets, her future was uncertain, and we honestly did not know if she would survive.
But Squid had other plans.
Read more about Squid
Now around 5-6 months old, Squid has grown into a playful, confident, and affectionate kitten who embraces life with enthusiasm. She may be blind, but that does not slow her down one bit. She has learned to navigate the world in her own unique way and continues to amaze everyone with her determination, adaptability, and spirit.
Squid loves being part of the action. She enjoys toys, wrestling with her feline friends, exploring new spaces, and investigating every sound and texture she can find. Most of all, she loves companionship. Squid adores humans, gets along wonderfully with dogs, loves other cats, and can often be found grooming her furry friends. She is a social butterfly who wants to be friends with everyone she meets.
Because of her previous injury, Squid takes seizure medication 3 times a day, and she takes it like an absolute champ. Her medication routine is easy, and she has become a pro at it.
Squid will thrive in a loving home that can provide a stable environment and continue helping her build confidence as she grows. She may approach the world a little differently than other cats, but she approaches it with courage, curiosity, and joy.
Squid is proof that resilience comes in small packages. After everything she has overcome, she is ready to find a family who will cherish her for the incredible cat she is.
If you are looking for a friendly, affectionate, one-of-a-kind companion with an inspiring story and a huge heart, Squid might just be your perfect match. ❤️

Adopting a cat in Philadelphia County
Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the cat, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your cat in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.
Senior cats are often the calmest companions and the slowest to find homes. If you'd like a settled, affectionate cat, ask the rescues about their older residents.
Kittens go quickly, especially in spring and summer. If you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon, and think about adopting two: young cats keep each other company and out of mischief.
