6. Sarabi
Adult (2 years) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed · 35 mi from Charleston

Sweet, beautiful, and just a little bit shy, Sarabi is a 2-year-old kitty looking for a patient forever family to help her come out of her shell.
Sarabi may be a little reserved when you first meet her, but give her some time, patience, and a little space to settle in, and her sweet personality will begin to shine. She’s the kind of girl who would much rather take her time getting to know you than rush into a friendship — and we think she’s worth the wait.
Sarabi is also a social girl when it comes to her four-legged friends! She gets along well with other cats and small dogs, making her a wonderful addition to the right multi-pet home.

Bringing a cat home to your dog
Tell the rescue about your dog: their size, age and energy. A cat who has lived with a calm dog may still be nervous around a bouncy puppy.
Introduce them slowly. Keep the cat in a room of their own for the first few days, swap bedding so they get used to each other's scent, and then let them meet with the dog on a leash.
Make sure the cat can always get somewhere the dog can't reach, and keep the litter box and food bowls out of the dog's way.
