1. Murray
Young (3 months 23 days) · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 84 mi from Green Bay

Murray was surrendered with Nellie, Gretta, and Milton. They came to us with their Mama through our spay/neuter program. Mama was fixed and was returned to her original home. The kittens stayed in our care in hopes they would find loving families our their own. All four kittens came in a little scared (understandable) but have quickly begun to adjust to the new environment. They are all affectionate and playful. We know they will be happy once they are settled into life with their families. Murray is a super sweet orange tabby male kitten. He seems like he is the "party boy" of the group. He loves to play and is happy with any toy available! Murray also loves attention is generally the first to purr of the group. This entire group seems to be an exceptionally kind and loving group. We have quickly fallen for this entire litter and you will too!

IMPORTANT* Our kittens always need the perfect partner to head home with (kittens must be adopted in pairs or have a SIMILAR AGED kitten already in the home) so please know this before you apply. Applications for single kittens will be denied. Murray deserves a family that will love and care for him and a partner kitten to help him continue to grow and develop into an amazing cat with good manners and a full heart. PLEASE take this into consideration before you apply and know that we work very hard to place our kittens in homes that set them up for the happiest, healthiest life possible. If you are interested in this kitten, please note that on your two-kitten application and we will discuss a good match based on your family, preferences, and our current availability. Personally, I believe you never can go wrong with a littermate, and Murray would be happy with any of his siblings, but he and Milton seem to have a ton of fun!

He seems like the strong sensitive type as he is the "big brother" of the group. He is the largest but also seems to "watch" us the most as if he is making sure his siblings are safe. Once he knows all is well, he quickly joins the fun and is certainly open to some attention. We have quickly fallen for this entire litter and you will too!

Nellie is a sweet and beautiful calico female kitten. She has quickly begun to show us how much she appreciates our love and care. She comes forward at mealtime and seems very happy to accept attention from all of our volunteers. We are so excited to watch this girl grow and become a confident kitty but for now we are so happy to just watch her be a happy and healthy kitten. We already love this little girl, and we know you will too. Nellie and Greta would be more than happy to continue life together. We think they would be the most perfect pair. (Please read below)

6. Subie
Kitten (3 months 30 days) · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 84 mi from Green Bay

This kitten has a heart of gold. He is so "polite" and such a sweet boy. Subie is kind, affectionate, and playful without being wild. He is friendly with other kittens and loves human attention. Subie seems like he will be a strong and steady cat when he grows up, a consistent and solid best friend to his family. He seems to adjust easily to new circumstances and people and because of his easy-going demeanor he will probably fit into most any family as long as this family includes another similar aged kitten. Our kittens always need the perfect partner to head home with (kittens must be adopted in pairs or have a SIMILAR AGED kitten already in the home) so please know this before you apply. Applications for single kittens will be denied. 7. Rue
Kitten (6 months) · Female · Domestic Medium Hair (medium coat) · 84 mi from Green Bay

This beautiful kitten was surrendered with Clyde. We are not sure if they are littermates or just two of the many cats this person was trying to assist and find placement for.
Read more about Rue
Rue is just a very gorgeous girl. She is a medium to long(ish) hair tabby with the softest eyes. Rue is still getting used to be cared for so is somewhat reserved at first but if you take it slow at first meet Rue warms up quickly. She loves to be pet and enjoys human attention. She may not be the first to approach you when you enter the room but once you spend time with her she may be the last to leave you. She is quiet and not demanding. Rue does like Clyde and we are going to assume by her demeanor that she will get along with other cats/kittens as well. Because of her age and need to build confidence we will require Rue to be adopted with another kitten similar in age, or for adopter to have a young similar aged kitten in their home who is looking for a new friend too.

8. Clyde
Young (6 months) · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 84 mi from Green Bay

Check out this handsome fella! Clyde is not only a looker but he is also so very sweet. He loves people and loves ATTENTION. He will stare at you with his bright copper eyes until you notice him. Clyde also seems to be mellow and kind with other cats and because he is so young we feel another young cat in the home (or adopted in a pair from the shelter) is a must. He did come to us with Rue so we know they are great together but again because he is so friendly we believe he would adapt to almost any young and fun cat.

9. Cora
Kitten (2 months 5 days) · Female · Domestic Medium Hair (medium coat) · 84 mi from Green Bay

This kitten is perfect in every way! Her little body is packed full of sass and sweet. Cora has short little legs and a compact little body but has the heart of a giant. She seems to make the most of every day. She wakes up ready to tackle anything, she plays like a crazy girl, purrs like a lion, and can make anyone smile after a hard day. Cora is pure joy with a little spice mixed in just for fun. Our kittens always need the perfect partner to head home with (kittens must be adopted in pairs or have a SIMILAR AGED kitten already in the home) so please know this before you apply. 10. Samantha
Young (7 months) · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 84 mi from Green Bay

This sweet girl was surrendered with her Mom (Elsa) after spending her young life outside. Even though life has probably been difficult so far this baby is incredibly sweet and affectionate. She loves to pet, held, and just loved. She is gaining confidence every day and has begun to approach for attention. Samantha loves other cats she is in a room currently with her Mom and two other adult cats, Vern and Millie. You can find Samantha snuggled with them when she needs comfort, so we know Samantha loves other cats. Because of her age and her interest in other cats/kittens we will require Samantha to be adopted with another one of our kittens or into a home with another young cat (similar to Samantha's age or at least under age 2 years old) that is playful and open to a kitten friend.

11. Elsa
Adult (1 year 4 months) · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 84 mi from Green Bay

Elsa was surrendered to us with her kitten Samantha. Both Elsa and "Sammy" are so incredibly sweet. Elsa survived with her kitten outside and she does have some small things that let us know it probably wasn't easy. Her one ear is missing the tip, at first glance you would think she had been ear-tipped at spay to identify a TNR cat, but that is not the case. We believe she may have damage from either an injury of some sort or her ear tip was damaged by frostbite over the harsh winter. As you can imagine Elsa is happy to be at our shelter, safe, warm, and always with a full belly. We are so happy Elsa survived whatever she did and also took such good care of her kitten Samantha who is perfect in every way. She was clearly a great Mama kitty who is now ready to live her own life with a loving family to help her continue to understand how to be a QUEEN. We know Elsa is a quick study and will no doubt adjust to a life of luxury. (Luxury to her will be food, a sunny window, and a warm bed....and of course a family to love her). Elsa seems appreciative to just be cared for, please consider giving this wonderful cat a second chance to have a beautiful life.
Read more about Elsa
Elsa is currently lucky enough to be hanging out in a foster home with one of our loved and long term volunteers. She reports Elsa is hilarious and acts like she has lived there forever. She is very talkative and super affectionate. She is fine with any of the other cats and does not even seem to mind her dogs. She basically just walks right past them and seems to barely notice their existence, as she is much more interested in "people". We love when our cats get spend a little time in foster as it really helps us have a window into how they would be in a home. We think Elsa could fit in almost anywhere that was willing to remember (every day) how wonderful she is!!

12. Lottie
Adult (1 year) · Female · Domestic Medium Hair (short coat) · 84 mi from Green Bay

Lottie came to LOAR via a stray surrender. This sweet girl was hanging out in the finder's garage until we had space in our facility. They thought she was such a sweet cat and deserved a chance at an indoor life and we agree. Lottie is a doll, beautiful and affectionate. It's as if she knows she is safe now. Lottie might prefer to be your one and only as she tends to try for all of your attention when other cats come towards her while she is being loved on. She does not go after others and we do occasionally see her rubbing against other cats and sometimes snuggling with them so we are not sure if some of this behavior (attention grabbing) will pass once she is settled or if it is just her personality. We do think Lottie would be fine with a calm, patient, and well mannered cat who is fine with sharing your attention as again she is not aggressive but maybe just has not learned all of the social rules of being a cat yet. She grew up outside so resources were harder to come by so Lottie may have just learned this behavior as a way to protect herself. A new home and family that is willing to love Lottie ALOT and provide her with LOTS of attention is what this beauty is really looking for.

13. Nash
Adult (1 year) · Male · Domestic Medium Hair (short coat) · 84 mi from Green Bay

Nash was surrendered with his brother Nico (new names) when his family was moving and could not take their pets with them (rental would not allow them). They had lived with the same people since they were kittens so are now understandably confused as to how/why they are with us, but they both remain sweet and affectionate although a little scared by all the new people, smells, sounds, and of course, the number of other cats. We believe both boys will adjust well with a little time and some extra love. They are both super affectionate, Nash would love it if you could spend your entire day with him!
Read more about Nash
Nash is a big cat with an even bigger heart. He is sweet, affectionate, and a little sensitive. He will love you with his whole heart if you give him just a little time to see that you want to love him too (maybe a couple of minutes is all it takes sometimes). Once that happens he will call for you and start his purr "motor" to let you know he is ready for your friendship, not to mention look at how handsome he is!!

We will continue to update photos and bios as we get to know these boys better.

We were told what we have seen so far, that they are sweet cats, that have lived inside with people, including children. They are very fond of each other and get along with other cats but we have not yet determined if they are a true "bonded pair" requiring them to be adopted together only, at this point we do not believe so, but of course if you have room for two, they would love to stay together.
Stay tuned for updates on these "new kids"!

Kitten (4 months 10 days) · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 84 mi from Green Bay

Check out Cyril! He is just EVERYTHING! All kitten! First, he is adorable. Like perfect. He is short and compact, and well he really is just a little guy but don't let that fool you. He is just a fireball. Cyril is full of energy and fun. He loves to play, with toys, with other kittens, with our volunteers. He jumps, he climbs, he gets into mischief, but then he comes back crawls into your lap and snuggles for it. Again, he is just the perfect balance of everything wonderful about kittens. He would happily pair with any of our current kittens as he loves everyone and generally they seem to love him right back! Consider adding Cyril to your family.

16. Jasmine
Adult (1 year 2 months) · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 84 mi from Green Bay

Jasmine is the sweetest soul! She is just a petite little girl that was found all alone as a stray and brought to our shelter, the finder said she was scared but friendly, and that she is. Jasmine is just a little unsure yet but super affectionate once you start petting her. She will lean into your hand and begin to purr as if she was waiting all day for you. We know she is on the road to stealing a special family's heart because she already has ours. This young cat deserves a chance to feel safe and loved forever. Please consider adding Jasmine to your family.

17. Allie
Kitten (4 months 29 days) · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 84 mi from Green Bay

This little sweetheart was found all alone in an alley by one of our volunteers. He brought her in and although she was very scared she was also VERY sweet. She was fostered for a bit with another single kitten who was much smaller than her (but also much wilder!) and they made fast friends. They are both back at the shelter and in a room with another litter of five and are all doing amazing. Allie is a gorgeous tabby with black markings and silver tips on some of her fur. She has the little black hair ear tips so she really will be a very striking cats as she grows. Allie is a mellow kitten, she mostly wants to snuggle with the others, and certainly with people. She is a little nervous at first meet but as you start to pet her she will flop down and begin to roll to her back to show you her belly. AND boy does she have a motor, Allie has a strong purr that she loves to use. Again, Allie likes all of the other kittens in her room (and would probably also be happy with any of our other kittens in other rooms) she is a kind and gentle little girl kitten.

Adult (1 year 8 months) · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 84 mi from Green Bay

Jimmy has the sweetest face and he loves when you smouch it! This guy is just a cool cat, mellow and affectionate. He is quickly getting used to shelter life, he only gets a little mouthy when you ignore him or take too long getting him his pets. Jimmy really enjoys being loved on and we think he can probably fit into most any family because of his low key attitude. This guy is just finishing up his "new kid" processing but once he is ready he will be introduced to the rest of the crew and we will update his bio and pictures as soon as we have more to share.

24. Juniper
Kitten (6 months) · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 84 mi from Green Bay

What do you say about kittens? Writing bios for kittens can be tough, cute and sweet seems to be a reoccurring statement. They are all cute and sweet, so it can be challenging to select your new family member/members. All you really need to do is spend one minute in our kitten room to fall in love with two (or all) of them.

This kitten is part of the Tree Litter. These little babies were brought to us after their Mama was unfortunately hit by a car and they were found (the same day) living in a tree trunk. These were so small (eyes not open yet) they needed instant care and were rushed to one of our amazing fosters with experience in bottle feeding very young kittens. Clearly, she is very good at this because they are healthy, happy, and beautiful kittens now (almost) ready to find forever families.
Juniper is just the sweetest little kitten. She is the smallest of her litter but the loudest as she can be very vocal! She loves to be loved! She is a happy kitten that plays all day with her littermates but is also content to take a snuggle break and sit on your lap for however long you want to spend with this cutie. "Juni" is just pure love in a tiny package!

IMPORTANTWe require your home to include a similar aged feline companion. Young kittens will NOT be approved for homes where they will not have another similar aged KITTEN (Kitten= under 1 year of age) companion. If you do not wish to adopt two kittens, please consider selecting a cat nearer to one year of age or older. Giving your kitten a buddy will improve the lives of both cats while also making your life easier. Single kitten issues/problems are a real thing. Complete our online adoption application a www.littleorphans.org to start the process of adding an adorable kitten (or two!) to your home. The more complete your application is, determines how quickly we are able to process your application. Please try to give your vets office (give prior authorization to release information to us), landlord, and references a heads up to expect our call. Adoption fees for kittens include spay/neuter, up-to-date age-appropriate vaccines, deworming, flea preventative, and a microchip.

25. River
Kitten (5 months 10 days) · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 58 mi from Green Bay

River is your typical, playful kitten. He would love to be adopted with his brother Joaquin as his two sisters already have a pending adoption with both going together.
We do require kittens to be adopted in pair unless there is already a kitten in the home or a playful cat under the age of 8. If a cat is older they can get very annoyed & stressed with kitten antics.

26. Joaquin
Kitten (5 months 10 days) · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 58 mi from Green Bay

Joaquin is your typical playful kitten. Loves toys and affection.
We do require kittens to be adopted in pairs to prevent SINGLE KITTEN SYNDROME unless there already a kitten or playful cat in the home.
SYMPTOMS INCLUDE: Acting like a kittenzilla, destructiveness, crying/constant meowing, scratching, biting, aggression, lack of sleep, inappropriate elimination, keeping you up at night and more.
Kittens need interaction with other kittens for healthy social development. Isolating a kitten can delay development emotionally, socially, and sometimes physically. Kittens who are able to remain with one of their littermates (or a similarly aged companion) tend to be healthier, happier, and better socialized.

Adopting a cat with children in Green Bay
Bring the whole family to meet the cat before you adopt, and ask the rescue how the cat behaves around children your kids' ages.
Teach children to let the cat come to them, to stroke gently, and to leave the cat alone while it's eating, sleeping or using the litter box. Give the cat a high or quiet spot to retreat to.
Relaxed adult cats are often a better match for young children than kittens, which scratch and nip while they play.
