Meet Bobby! He can't wait to meet you and explore your entire house! Bobby is an energetic, quirky boy who really wants to be a shoulder cat. He might just launch onto your back and nuzzle your face! It doesn't stop him from exploring and carrying springs and little mousie toys around.Bobby spends his days wrestling with his best bud, Cece. He'd love to go home with her as he's worked very hard to help her come out of her shell. He spends his nights playing with toys and then trying to burrow under the covers.

7. Casper
Kitten · Male · Siamese · 43 mi from Racine

Casper is a breathtaking lynx point Siamese with striking blue eyes, a soft cream-colored coat, and a gentle soul that is still learning how wonderful life can be. While he may not be the type of cat who immediately jumps into your lap, Casper has a quiet charm that draws people in. He loves being near his people, keeping them company with his calm, persistent presence, and watching the world go by from a cozy spot on the couch or a sunny window perch.Casper is looking for a calm, child-free home with patient, understanding adults who can appreciate him for exactly who he is. Rescued from a feral colony, he has made incredible progress with his socialization and continues to blossom every day.
Read more about Casper
He would thrive with an adopter who understands cat behavior and/or has experience helping socialize shy cats to help them build confidence. Casper is not a fan of being picked up or handled roughly, and he prefers to move at his own pace when it comes to affection. He absolutely loves other cats and would prefer to have a feline companion in his forever home. If possible, he would be thrilled to be adopted with his beloved mom and best friend, Flower. One thing Casper never hesitates about is playtime! Wand toys, balls, catnip-filled toys—if it moves, there's a good chance Casper wants to chase it. He can often be found calling out to the resident cats in his foster home, inviting them to join him for a game. He also loves climbing cat trees and keeping an eye on everything from above. Although he is still learning to trust human touch, he has made remarkable strides. He now enjoys gentle pets and has even flopped over for belly scratches from a back scratcher, which remains one of his favorite ways to connect with people. A back scratcher will be a wonderful tool for helping his future family continue building trust and strengthening their bond with him.Casper's journey hasn't been easy, but his progress is a testament to his resilience and willingness to learn to trust. He is curious about people, often approaching for a sniff and wanting to be part of whatever is happening around him. While it takes him time to fully warm up and accept touch from new people, every small victory feels incredibly rewarding. With patience, compassion, and a feline friend by his side, Casper will continue to grow into the wonderful companion he's meant to be.If you're the kind of person who understands that trust is earned and that the deepest bonds are sometimes built slowly, Casper may be the perfect addition to your family. Watching this handsome boy gain confidence and discover how loved he truly is will be a gift unlike any other!WE DO NOT HAVE A PHYSICAL LOCATION AS WE ARE A FOSTER-BASED ORGANIZATION. 12. Cinnezac
Kitten · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 43 mi from Racine

Cinnezac - or Cinnie - is the smart one in the pack. From the day she was abandonned, sick and filthy, in Southern Illinois to her leisure days at the foster home, Cinnie was able to make sure that she and her brother Oatmeal would have a better life. Cinnie is the first of her crew (brother and 4 others) to figure things out. New toys, new food bowls, new people. And she's the smart one to alert her foster mom that bowls need to be filled, toys need to be retrieved, or litter needs to be cleaned. She will lead her foster mom to the situation she wants addressed. She's the Lassie of her crew. She cuddles on her own terms - with humans or animals - but she is a social cuddler.
Read more about Cinnezac
She will join you on the sofa for tv, for work, or for sleep. Usually, she is willing to be part of the cat nap pile, but she also sees a pile as tine that she can get her foster mom to herself, especially for head and back scritches. She gets along well with other cats, young and old, sometimes cuddling with the resident senior. She has been good playing with young children, but she isn't as willing to be cradled as her mates so might be better with older children. Cinnie has not been tested with dogs but has been a curious watcher from the window. As she isn't a fearful cat, she would, most likely, do fine in a hone with dogs. While the most independent of her crew, Cinnie is a young cat and needs a playful mate, especially for hide, seek, and pounce. He is young, and does need a playful partnet who will share toys, chases, and Calm and gentle, JubJub has been great with young child visitors, and while not tested with dogs, would be fine after gentle introduction.

14. Brody
Young · Male · Siberian / Nebelung / Mixed · 43 mi from Racine

Meet Brody — The gentle sweetheart with a brave spirit! This handsome boy is one of the most cuddly kitties you could every hope to meet. Rescued as a stray, Brody has blossomed in his foster home, where he has discovered just how wonderful life can be. He loves snuggling with his human, making biscuits and purring up a storm. He's also wonderfully expressive about his desire for additional pets: He'll softly nudge his foster's hand toward him and provide head bumps to make sure the message is received. And he absolutely adores having his belly rubbed! His favorite place is wherever his people are and he'd much rather be in the same room with his family than off doing his own thing. But when he's not lounging on a lap or sleeping beside his person, he enjoys zooming through his cat tunnel, chasing balls, batting at wand toys and playing with his scratcher.
Read more about Brody
And did someone say catnip? Count Brody in!Then there are the treats. Brody is obsessed! Open the package and he'll come running. His foster says his superpower might be mind control, because he can easily convince anyone to feed him crunchy and lickable snacks all day long. Brody's story makes his transformation especially touching. When his foster found him, he was just skin and bones, likely having suffered significant neglect and possibly abuse (someone had even shaved his beautiful blue-gray coat). Yet, despite everything he'd been through, Brody immediately allowed pets and looked up hopefully, as if asking to be rescued. In the comfort of his foster home, Brody has become the affectionate, playful and trusting boy he was meant to be. His gorgeous fur is growing back and beneath it is a kitty boy with an even more beautiful heart and brave spirit. He has great manners and has been fine in a household with older, respectful children. He can be fearful of pushy cats who don't respect his boundaries, so he may be happiest as your one-and-only kitty. Still, his foster believes he could also do well with a gentle, well-mannered cat buddy, following a slow, thoughtful introduction. Because this sweet, bright-eyed boy with a fluffy tail craves attention, he'll do best in a home where his people have plenty of time to devote to him. He's thrived in a tranquil home, so a calm-to-moderate household may be ideal.Brody has come such a long way — and so deserves a forever home where he can spend his days being spoiled, cherished and very, very loved. 16. Bailey
Adult · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 43 mi from Racine

Meet Bailey! A beautiful girl with a sweet, timid nature looking for the right person to bring her home.Bailey had a bit of a rough start, being abandoned at a pet store. She was confused and didn't understand why her former owners left her, but after only a few weeks of love from her foster, her personality has begun to truly shine.Bailey is very chatty in the morning, updating you on all the happenings overnight while you were sleeping. She is very inquisitive and likes to watch you do pretty much anything!Like any high class lady, Bailey knows exactly what she likes and what she doesn’t like. Her two great loves are brushing, and wand toys.
Read more about Bailey
She will jump up to sit next to you as soon as you pat the brush on the bed. She loves for you to show your devotion by brushing her beautiful torbie coat. Bailey is also very playful! She enjoys her scratching post, and chasing balls around, but her most favorite are wand toys. She'll happily chase a wand toy, jump up in the air, and roll over on her back when playing. She will use both paws to catch it, like she's catching a bug.As far as what she doesn’t like, Bailey will let you definitely know. One look and her RBF will tell you when you’re about to go too far. If you miss the look she will gently send a paw your way, so make sure to pay attention. She doesn’t use her claws, just a light tap to let you know her boundaries are being pushed. She is iffy about her cat tree so far, preferring cozier spots for her nap time. Bailey likes pets on her head/behind the ears. While she is not a lap cat or a cuddler per say, she will sit next to you for long periods of time, so she would be a great companion for someone who enjoys watching TV or movies on the couch. Netflix and purrs anyone? She is also a stealthy nighttime snuggler and likes to be the little spoon.Bailey needs someone who understands she is going to be shy (at first) and is ok with taking it slow. Bailey will blossom in a home where she is either with another adult cat or the solo cat. She would thrive in a quiet, low key home, with someone who can give her space and support at the same time. She absolutely enjoys human company; Bailey has lots of affection to give, and wants to give it. Are you going to be the lucky one who takes this beautiful girl home? Kitten · Female · Domestic Short Hair · 43 mi from Racine

Hi, my name is Maple and I love warm hugs! No but seriously… cuddle time is the best time. The second I see a human I start purring, that’s how much I love being around you all! I love quality time on the couch or bed or really anywhere that I can snuggle up with - or on - you! Playtime is also a huge fave of mine. I love playing with crinkly balls, catnip filled toys, wand toys… pretty much everything! You can really see my goofy personality come out during playtime. What more to know? Well, I LOVE wet food. What cat doesn’t?! But seriously… bring on the yummy kitten wet food. I’d thrive in just about any household that promises love and cuddles.

20. Squeak
Kitten · Male · Domestic Short Hair · 43 mi from Racine

Meet Squeak: Professional Wrestler Squeak has not exactly jumped in the ring as a pro, but he certainly is practicing! He loves wrestling with his siblings, chasing them around and perhaps pinning them in a friendly headlock or two. Squeak is a spirited kitten with seemingly boundless energy for play. Give him a ball and he’ll bat it around all over the place, give him a soft toy and he’ll chase it, pounce on it, wrestle it, and chew it. Watching him play is more entertaining than any TV show you’ll find. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that Squeak is such a unique and handsome boy; his soft white fur interrupted by two distinct fuzzy gray hairlines.

How can he look so distinguished while also being the biggest goofball racing around the house? Well, that’s all part of his charm. Squeak has proven to be adaptable to a variety of settings and would fit in well with any loving household. Because he is so young, he must be adopted into a home with another friendly cat so he can continue to grow his social skills and burn off all that kitten energy. He would love to be adopted with his sister Pip! This little guy is such a whirlwind of joy and exuberance, and he is so easy to love. Meet Bee! She is very playful and loves spending time playing in tunnels, with string toys, and with her siblings. Although she's calm and gentle by nature, she can hold her own while roughhousing with her siblings. Since then she's been able to socialize with her siblings, dogs, kids, and adult cats.

She would do best in a home with adults or older children/teenagers. Meet Gardi: Tiny Meow, Big Appetite for Life 11-year-old Gardi carries herself with a quiet elegance…until treat time arrives. Then she turns into a joyful little prancer, dancing around to remind you that evening snacks are a very serious matter. As the household’s self-appointed mealtime ambassador, Gardi sprints down the hall at breakfast with the speed of a kitten, her tiny meow chiming in as if to say, “Don’t forget, girls need breakfast too!” She’s a delight to watch, whether batting around her favorite toy, stretching tall on the cat tree, or gazing dreamily out the window at the birds.Gardi is a tender soul who blossoms with a bit of patience.

24. Horatio
Adult · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 43 mi from Racine

Meet Horatio: Lottery Winner Horatio won the lottery when he was rescued from life on the streets and taken into his foster home. His foster mom brought him out of his shell and is teaching him how to live the good life of a much loved house cat. Horatio is learning that he no longer has to scavenge for every meal; that food is plentiful and presented to him regularly. Still, he’s always ready for more lest it be in short supply again. What a happy task to reinforce in him that he will always be given nice meals and treats. This handsome boy is also learning the finer points of playing. He hunts his catnip mouse like the pro he is, and chases the confounding red dot coming from a laser pointer.
Read more about Horatio
He also enjoys being brushed a bit and will gently let you know when he’s had enough. Horatio quickly learned to appreciate a kind and loving human, and he always likes to be nearby. He’s happy to sit with you on the couch and occasionally might even climb into your lap. His manners are impeccable; he will never ask you to change the channel, but he will ask you to serve him a snack to munch on while he watches along. Fair enough, we all love TV snacks, right? His preference is for crunchy treats, and he also loves Churu tubes; he is still learning inside manners and hasn’t quite got the hang of just licking it as it comes out of the tube. His experience has been that you have to bite right down on the packaging to get to the good stuff inside. Regardless, he will always say thank you and offer up his head and cheek for gentle scritches. This lovely kitty has been in a quiet home with just his foster mom. He will fully come into his House Cat Era if he remains in a quiet and calm environment. While he has not been exposed to other indoor kitties, he might love to have a buddy if properly and carefully introduced. Another compatible cat could encourage his playful side and show him the ropes of being boss to a well trained human. Horatio is a beautiful cat and a wonderful companion. He has put his street days behind him and is ready to reciprocate the love of kind and gentle humans who offer him the life to which he is quickly becoming accustomed. 25. Michael
Kitten · Male · Domestic Short Hair · 43 mi from Racine

Meet Michael, a gentle soul with an iron will and a heart full of love. This sweet boy has the perfect balance of independence and affection—not too needy, not too aloof. He is perfectly content lounging near his people or his feline family, but when Michael decides it's time for attention, well… it's time for attention NOW.Michael absolutely adores the adult cats in his foster home and frequently seeks them out for grooming sessions and cozy naps. He seems to have a special appreciation for his older feline friends and loves having them nearby. He also loves spending time with his siblings, whether they're playing together or settling down for a nap. He's a curious little guy who enjoys looking out the window and watching for bugs, and his foster family especially loves his nighttime wandering and quiet little adventures.

Michael rarely meows, but when he has something important to say—usually something involving food—he will absolutely speak up. And when he's ready for cuddles, he can be remarkably persistent about making sure his humans understand his request! One of Michael's most adorable habits is visiting his humans in bed to give their faces a thorough washing. Because apparently that's just what good friends do. He also enjoys small mice, spring toys, and sparkle balls, so there's always something fun to keep this curious boy entertained.Michael has met the humans and resident cats in his foster home and has done wonderfully with everyone. He's one of five birth siblings and also has four older siblings and his mama, Marcy, so he's grown up surrounded by plenty of feline companionship.Because Michael is still so young, he will need to be adopted into a home with another kitty friend to socialize, play, and grow up with. He would especially love to go home with one of his siblings. If you're looking for a sweet boy who will happily lounge nearby, curl up with a feline friend, quietly explore his surroundings, and then insist that it's time for cuddles, Michael may be your perfect match. 29. Kitty
Senior · Female · Domestic Medium Hair · 43 mi from Racine

Meet Kitty! She may not be the cat who greets every stranger at the door, but give this lovely girl a little time and patience, and you'll discover a devoted companion with a heart full of love. With her sweet face, expressive personality, and endearing quirks, Kitty is the kind of cat who forms deep bonds with her people. Once you've earned her trust, she'll happily curl up in your lap for hours while you watch TV, scroll on your phone, or simply enjoy a quiet evening together.Kitty is looking for a calm, peaceful home where she can be the one and only pet. She has no interest in sharing the spotlight with other cats and would much rather be the center of your world.
Read more about Kitty
Because she can be sensitive to noise and too much activity, an adults-only home—or one with older, respectful children—would suit her best. Kitty enjoys having her humans nearby but doesn't need constant attention. What she does need is a patient family willing to give her the time she needs to settle in and feel safe. Once she does, her affectionate side shines beautifully.A true couch potato at heart, Kitty has perfected the art of eating, napping, and lounging in maximum comfort. Her heated mat is one of her favorite places to relax, and mealtime is always an exciting event. In fact, Kitty becomes quite the chatterbox when food is involved, enthusiastically "screaming" at her foster family as dinner is prepared. The funniest part? Before she'll actually start eating, she insists on collecting a few pets first. Kitty also enjoys hunting fishing pole toys and batting around catnip pillows, though she tends to tire out quickly. She loves lap time but can become overstimulated if petted too much, making her a wonderfully quirky companion who appreciates people willing to learn her unique rhythm.Kitty has been through a lot of changes recently after being transferred into foster care when the elderly couple who loved her could no longer provide the care she needed. Her foster family has been delighted to watch her slowly gain confidence and come out of her shell. She does have some bald patches from overgrooming, likely related to anxiety or a possible food sensitivity, but they aren't causing her any medical issues. As she continues to feel secure and settled, there's every chance this habit may improve. Beneath her cautious exterior is a sweet, loving girl who simply needs someone willing to meet her where she is. Give Kitty the patience she deserves, and before long you'll have a loyal lap warmer, a mealtime commentator, and a best friend for life. How to adopt from Forever Fortunate Felines
Thank you for your interest in Forever Fortunate Felines, a division of Fortunate Pooches and Lab Rescue. We are very happy to have the opportunity to match you with your purr-fect cat-panion! Once you complete the online application using the below link, you will be able to discuss and ask questions directly to the foster parent. We believe this is a big advantage to you as our organization is completely foster based, we really understand our cats personalities at a deep level. This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family. In order to get the process going, would you kindly fill out our detailed online application located here: https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/11683/generic Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue. Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten. Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day. Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet. We recommend a pet carrier which opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier. If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day. How to adopt from Animal House Shelter, Inc.
Animal House Shelter tries to keep the environment for the animals in our care, as healthy, stress free and comfortable as possible during their stay with us. Therefore, Walk-Through viewing of the dogs is NOT allowed at the shelter, due to the stress it creates. During your visit to the shelter, an adoption counselor will assist you through the adoption process and introduce you to as many dogs as you would like to meet, in order to make the best possible match for you, your family and your new pet. The cats are housed in a large ‘free roam’ cat room. They are able to socialize all day with each other, staff, volunteers and potential adopter. Like people, animals have distinct personalities that make them unique. At Animal House we are proud to say that these animals are treated like our own. We care enough to be certain they go to the right loving, forever home. 1. All adoption donations MUST be in cash, money order, traveler’s check , cashier’s check or by VISA, DISCOVER or MASTERCARD credit card only. NO PERSONAL CHECKS PLEASE. 2. You must be at least 21 years old to adopt. 3. All members of the household must be present, including any other dogs you may currently own, in order to do a final adoption (cats do not have to come to the shelter. We will cat test here because we know how stressful it is on the cats to be transported). 4. Dogs and cats that you currently own must be current on vaccinations and spayed/neutered prior to visiting the shelter or any adoption.

Adopting a cat in Racine
Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the cat, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your cat in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.
Senior cats are often the calmest companions and the slowest to find homes. If you'd like a settled, affectionate cat, ask the rescues about their older residents.
Kittens go quickly, especially in spring and summer. If you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon, and think about adopting two: young cats keep each other company and out of mischief.
