Cats for Adoption in Spooner, WI: 20 Cats Looking for a Home

Nettie is by far one of the sweetest cats we have had in our program!

She showed up as a stray here at the sanctuary and proceeded to lay down next to us as we worked on the lawn mower. No one claimed Nettie as their own so we took her to the vet for full examination, vaccinations, testing, parasite protection and when she was in for her spay surgery it was discovered that she had already been spayed! There was no spay scar or tattoo that could be seen prior to surgery.

We are happy to report that Nettie got a clean bill of health and is in a foster home and doing great!

Kittens develop better manners & social behaviors when they have a companion so we offer kittens 2-for-1! Each kitten requires a refundable $50 spay/neuter deposit, which is returned after surgery. The adopter will receive a voucher for spay or neuter at no additional cost at a participating vet!

Smokey is a sweet 2-year-old cat with a story to tell and a heart ready for a fresh start! Despite everything he’s been through, Smokey deserves all the love, comfort, and happiness that a forever home can bring.
His journey hasn’t been the easiest, but now it’s his turn for a brighter chapter! ❤️ Smokey is looking for someone who will see past his physical differences and love him for the special cat he is.

Riff is a handsome 1-year-old boy looking for a second chance at forever! He was adopted as a kitten, but recently found himself back in rescue due to some destructive behaviors in the home. Sometimes young cats need a little extra guidance, enrichment, and understanding as they grow into their personalities.
Riff is still young, with plenty of time to learn, play, and settle into the right home. He’ll benefit from a family willing to provide plenty of appropriate outlets for his energy, interactive playtime, scratching posts, and patience as he adjusts.

When Mike first came into our care, he was feral, injured, terrified, and unsure of the people around him. He wasn’t a cat who immediately understood that hands could be gentle, people could be safe, or that he didn’t have to face everything alone anymore.
On top of being frightened, Mike was dealing with a significant injury that ultimately required emergency surgery and extensive aftercare.
His surgical site healed beautifully, his stitches have officially been removed, and somewhere along the way Mike made another pretty major decision:
The feral life is no longer for him.
Come meet the little fighter who had an entire community in his corner.

Ghost is a sweet & shy lady around 1.5 years old. She was surrendered by her owner because the other cats in the home were aggressively bullying her- it was a sad goodbye for all, but ultimately for Ghost's happiness & wellbeing. She takes some time to warm up, but once she does is all about snuggles!

Briar is a 5-month-old spayed female kitten who marches to the beat of her own drum. She’s a quiet, independent girl who prefers her own space and isn’t looking to be the center of attention.
Briar would do best in a calm, quiet home with a peaceful environment and a patient person who understands that some cats are happiest when life moves at their own pace. She’s not the most social kitten, but with the right home and plenty of time to settle in, she can continue to build confidence and feel safe.
If you’re looking for a more independent companion and can appreciate a cat who enjoys her solitude, Briar might be the perfect match.
