2. Tippy

Kitten · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

Meet Tippy — The Miracle Boy! Tippy is one very special little boy with an incredible story of resilience, a heart full of sweetness, and so much love to give!Tippy was rescued by one of our wonderful partner organizations from heartbreaking conditions alongside many other kittens desperately in need of help. Sadly, he was very sick as a tiny kitten and developed severe eye infections that required extensive treatment, numerous veterinary visits, tests, and examinations. Through it all, his incredibly dedicated foster provided round-the-clock care, making sure this little fighter had everything he needed to heal. And what a comeback he has made! Tippy has overcome his infections, and although he has some residual scarring that leaves his eyes looking a little cloudy, he has come such a long way.

Read more about Tippy

His infections have resolved, and his remaining cloudiness is due to scarring from his illness. He may be a little more cautious when navigating unfamiliar surroundings or deciding whether to leap into something new, but that doesn’t stop him from enjoying life!Despite everything he has endured, Tippy has remained the sweetest boy. He tolerated all the treatments and care he needed without ever getting upset with the people trying to help him. Now, he’s ready to focus on the fun stuff!Tippy LOVES playing with toys, and a fishing-pole toy is hands-down his favorite game. He also enjoys wrestling and playing with his feline friends. He’s a sweet, gentle soul who has already shown us just how much strength and spirit can fit into one little kitten.Because of his eye scarring, Tippy would do best in a quieter, predictable home where he can become familiar with his surroundings without having to navigate lots of new things being moved around or placed in his path. With a little patience, a safe environment, and time to build confidence, he can settle in at his own pace and continue to thrive. A friendly feline companion who enjoys playing would be a lovely bonus for this playful boy!Tippy has already overcome so much in his young life. Now, he deserves a family who will see past his cloudy eyes and recognize the beautiful, resilient, loving kitten looking back at them. His eyes tell a story of what he’s survived, but they don’t define who he is. Could you be the person who gives our miracle boy his happily-ever-after? Tippy has tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and is current on all age appropriate treatments and vaccines. Tippy will be neutered and microchipped on 10/26 and will be ready to find his forever family! For more information about Tippy, please contact: catmanager@ahomeoftheirownrescue.org

13. Big Boy

Senior · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

COURTESY- CROSS POSTBIG BOY IS LOOKING FOR HIS PERSON Sometimes the very best cats are the ones who have been through the most.Meet Big Boy, a handsome 7-8 year old grey and white gentleman with a giant heart and an even bigger capacity for love.Big Boy started life as a neighborhood stray. For over a year, he only trusted one person enough to come close. But once he finally learned that people could be kind, everything changed. Today, he absolutely adores human companionship and wants nothing more than to be near his favorite people. His caretaker took him in after he became critically ill in 2024.

Read more about Big Boy

He was nursed back to health over several months and has blossomed into one of the sweetest cats you could ever hope to meet. What makes Big Boy special?• Loves people and thrives on human companionship• Gives headbutts and asks for more scratches when you stop• A champion cuddler who prefers to be touching his person whenever possible• Loves forehead kisses• Carries his favorite toy around proudly and wants everyone to admire his “catch”• Will meow to find you and gets more excited as he gets closer• Becomes the star of every gathering because he genuinely enjoys being around people• Loves lounging in sunny spots and showing off his impressive belly• Has the sweetest little snore when he falls into a deep sleepBig Boy has spent the last two years living in a unique household arrangement because he does not get along with the resident cat. While every effort was made to integrate them, he would be happiest as the only cat in the home, where he can soak up all the attention for himself.Medical Information Big Boy has a history of chronic upper respiratory issues (chronic rhinitis/sinusitis). His symptoms primarily involve nasal congestion and occasional flare-ups that have responded to veterinary treatment. Despite this, he remains happy, active, affectionate, maintains his weight, enjoys his food, and continues to live a full and joyful life. His caretaker has worked closely with veterinarians to manage his condition and is committed to being completely transparent with any potential adopter regarding his medical history and ongoing needs. Why He Needs a Home This is not a cat being given up because he is unwanted. His caretaker loves him deeply and has spent nearly two years helping him heal, learn to trust, and experience life as a beloved companion. Unfortunately, an upcoming move means they can no longer provide the housing arrangement that has allowed Big Boy to thrive. The hope is to find someone who will give him what every cat deserves: a safe home, a soft bed, plenty of love, and a family to call his own. Ideal Home: • Indoor-only home• Big Boy would like to be the only cat in the household (FIV+)• Someone who appreciates affectionate, people-oriented cats• A family willing to love a cat who may require occasional management of his respiratory condition.Big Boy has already survived the hard part of life. Now he just needs someone willing to write the happy ending. Please email: laurenmp37@gmail.com if you’d like to learn more about Big Boy or think you might be the person he’s been waiting for.
