Alina

ALINA is a young adult cat, probably around 3, who had a litter of kittens in April. She was a fantastic mom and despite her initial hesitance with humans raised her kittens to be totally fearless and sweet. Now that her kittens have all been adopted, she’s really started to grow into her own personality and is finding joy in birdwatching, playing with ball tracks, and romping with other cats in her foster home.

Alina loves being near people, watching whatever they’re doing, and purring about it. She‘s beyond thrilled with a good nose-to-tail petting but sometimes can find sudden movements a bit startling. A face near hers is still a little scary, so kisses are on the backburner though she recently began to permit a single kiss to her side during petting sessions! She prefers to sleep in a room with a person and will alternate through the night with snuggling and simply being near.

She wants to be a lap cat but asks for patience and gentle encouragement to show her it’s safe. She’ll allow you putting her in your lap if ear rubs are immediately commenced, then she’ll sit and purr as long as the petting continues.

Alina is a soft-hearted cat who is confident with other cats and would love to find a home with another friendly feline. She’s also completely fine sharing space with a well-behaved dog. While she initially can be shy with humans, once she trusts you she’ll be your buddy (and shadow) for life. Let Alina set the pace to your friendship and this sweet girl will warm up in no time. She is absolutely willing to be bribed with treats and toys.
