Milo K

Adult (2 years 3 months) · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

Birthday: July 6, 2024

This handsome devil is Milo, and he can easily win you over with the flick of his paw! That's how he won over his foster! He was found outside through a Ring camera. His rescuer-turned-foster won him over by leaving him food and water until she was able to finally get him inside.

He was taken to many different vet visits, where the doctor uncovered his background. And it wasn't a happy one. His teeth were in terrible shape, his heart had a murmur, and his skull had shown to have had a massive compression, probably while he was still very young. Thankfully, after many grueling visits, Milo has made a huge turnaround! All of his teeth were removed since they were so bad off, meaning he doesn't need any more dental work. It's great for him because putting him under anesthesia would have been dangerous due to his heart condition. Speaking of which, his heart murmur is now controlled by daily medication, but he will need to take it indefinitely to prevent blood clots. Despite this, he is still expected to live a full life of happiness just like a normal kitty!

But don't let that stop you from loving this man! Now that Milo received all that TLC, he is feeling like a new cat! He's as lively as a cricket, often found playing nonstop! For someone with a heart issue, he is NUTS. HE DOES NOT STOP PLAYING. In fact, his foster believes if it was physically possible, he WOULD play all day! You can try to pick him up for a minute, but he just wants to get down and play some more! It might be in his best interest if he had an active play buddy in his new home. If he's somehow not roughing around with his toys, he will cuddle next to you. He loves to rub up against legs, showing how grateful he is. Whenever you hold him (if he isn't trying to wrestle free from you for playtime), he will let out a content purr that can make anyone smile.

In a way, it's a good thing Milo has some small heart enlargement because he wants to fill it with more love for you!
