Meet Scooter – The Wheel-Running Wonder Who Comes When You Call! Scooter is the total package: adorable, affectionate, playful, and full of personality. With her bright eyes, expressive chirps, and affectionate nature, this sweet girl has a way of making everyone feel special.Scooter is an incredible little survivor. When first rescued, she was dragging her back legs and faced an uncertain future. After months of laser therapy, acupuncture treatments, and lots of determination, she has made a remarkable recovery. Today, Scooter walks, runs, plays, and zooms around the house with enthusiasm. She still has a slight wobble in her back end and does a charming little hop when she runs, but don't let that fool you—this girl can move! And we mean M-O-V-E!One of Scooter's favorite things in the world is showing off on her exercise wheel.
She'll happily hop on for a run, then immediately glance over her shoulder to make sure you're watching. That’s your cue to pull out the pom-poms and tell Scooter what a good job she's doing—this girl absolutely thrives on praise and loves being admired for her athletic skills! When she's not perfecting her wheel-running technique, you'll find Scooter playing with other kitty friends, tossing around catnip and crinkle toys, or curling up in a warm lap for some well-earned cuddles. Call for her from anywhere in your home, and you'll hear her cheerful chirp response as she races over to greet you and continue the conversation. While filling you in on the latest gossip, Scooter loves to be pet, adores head scratches, and will happily snuggle up with you at bedtime. As much as Scooter loves her people, she also needs a feline friend. She’s made friends with adult cats and kittens in her foster home and absolutely loves having a cat buddy. Scooter would do best in a quiet to semi-quiet home. Loud noises can startle her, and this little girl is afraid of the dark, curling into your side at bedtime for some reassuring cuddles. She would be a wonderful match for a family with older children who understand her sensitive side and can give her the gentle companionship she enjoys.Due to her previous injury, Scooter does have some specific litterbox requirements. Her wobbly walk and bunny hopping means she will need a home with large, high entry boxes so she can relieve herself with ease. She also gets small daily stretching exercises to help improve her balance and loosen her muscles. She is a queen about doing her PT and immediately after will climb the tallest cat tree and settle in for some bird watching. Her resilience and joyful spirit are truly inspiring! She has overcome so much without ever losing her playful heart or loving nature. Now all she needs is someone who will cheer her on, shower her with affection, and appreciate the amazing little cat she's become. Have you been waiting for a loyal sidekick and snuggly superstar?
