Shogi

Hello, I&#39m Shogi. I&#39m a short haired brown tabby with white male, born approximately 9/12/2014, which makes me a distinguished gentleman. I&#39ve lived both indoors and outdoors in my life, and I&#39m ready to settle into a peaceful home indoors where I can truly relax and be cared for.
I&#39m a talkative fellow... I&#39ve always got something to say! I&#39ll greet you with plenty of meows, lean in for attention, and reward you with a wonderfully loud, happy purr. I especially love head pets, cheek rubs, and chin scratches. I&#39m known for my strong, enthusiastic head bonks. When I&#39m in the mood for affection, I really lean into it!
That said, I like my love on my own terms.

I can become overstimulated, and I don&#39t always give much warning when I&#39ve had enough, so I need someone who understands cat body language and will respect my boundaries. When I&#39m done, I&#39m done, and I appreciate someone who can recognize that and give me my space. Sticking to head and cheek pets is usually the safest way to keep me happy. I still enjoy a bit of playtime too, especially with wand toys! And to help me stay comfortable in my senior years, I receive monthly Solensia injections for arthritis, which really helps me feel my best.
I would do best in a quiet home without young children, and likely without other cats or dogs. Older, respectful teenagers could be okay, but overall, I&#39m looking for a calm experienced adopter who will let me set the pace. If you&#39re someone who appreciates a cat with personality, communication, and clear boundaries - and you&#39re willing to love me just the way I am, then I&#39ll be happy to be the loyal, affectionate companion in your home.
