3. Winsley

Kitten · Male · Domestic Medium Hair / Mixed (medium coat) · 33 mi from Baltimore

WINSLEY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!

Read more about Winsley

Name: Winsley Best Guess for Breed: Domestic Medium Hair
Age: 15 weeks 11/14 - Actual DOB 7/27/26
SEX: Male Approximate Weight: 2.77 lb 10/19
Coloring: White with one blue & one green/yellow eye, deaf Type of Hair: Medium
Special Consideration: Winsley is deaf and will need time and patience to settle into a new home
Gets Along With: Because of his young age, Winsley will likely get along with other cats, dogs and kids with an acclimation period. We’re happy to help with tips and tricks!
Litter: Winnie, Winsley, Winton
Currently Living at: Shelter...coming to the DC area soon
What the Shelter Says About Me:Winsley wins with his longer fur and the most beautiful two colored eyes! As we’re learning, Winsley is deaf, which is not uncommon in white cats with one blue and one green/yellow (heterochromia) eyes. But don’t let that fool you—this sweet boy doesn’t let anything slow him down! He loves playing with his siblings and happily comes to the front of the condo to greet our volunteers and soak up all the love and attention. Winsley is sweet, friendly, and full of kitten charm. He’ll need a special family willing to help him thrive by teaching him hand signals, providing safe boundaries, and understanding his unique needs & special abilities. His beautiful jewel colored eyes and pink nose along with his other senses will let him experience the world in the way he needs. A playful companion kitten or a patient, supportive adult cat would be a wonderful addition to Winsley’s new family, giving him a friend to learn and grow alongside. (But be aware that he will not hear the cat's hiss so hopefully visual social cues will help them respect each other.) Winsley may experience the world a little differently, but he has so much love to give and has been thriving! He’s ready to find a family who will see how special he truly is and give him the safe, loving forever home he deserves. Could you be Wiinsley's family and ears?

Kitten (2 months 21 days) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 49 mi from Baltimore

Meow meet Eeyore! Eeyore is a pretty little grey tabby girl with two distinctive stripes running down her back, giving her an extra special look! She’s a quieter, more reserved kitten who may need a little time to feel comfortable around new people. She’s not the loudest or boldest of her siblings: Cinder, Gracie and Ebony, but she has her own special charm and deserves a chance to grow in confidence.

30. Acorn

Kitten (4 months 1 day) · Male · Domestic Short Hair · 50 mi from Baltimore

FFGW Adoption Policy is that all kittens under 6 months must be adopted in pairs. If not part of a bonded pair, you need to have a compatible cat 1 year old or younger already in the family.

Acorn is adorable! His purr hardly stops. He's playful and loving. He loves to cuddle up with you and then have a playing session. He's a big fan of mouse and wand toys. Like all kitties, he loves a sunny spot and a cat tree with a good field of view. He's incredibly sweet and does this cute little head bob when you enter the room.

Acorn and Destiny are good buddies and must be adopted together.

Adopting a kitten in Baltimore

Kittens usually go to their new homes from about eight weeks old, once they're eating on their own and have had their first vaccinations. Most rescues spay or neuter them before adoption, or include it in the fee.

Think about adopting two. Kittens raised together play with each other instead of your ankles and furniture, and many rescues charge less for a pair.

Kittens need more of your time than grown cats: several small meals a day, plenty of play, and a home with cords and small objects tidied away.
