What the Shelter Says About Me:Jaxie is a beautiful black long-haired beauty. She does have some patches of white - her little white locket. She is a sweet girl who loves to be brushed (that glorious fur) and looks forward to head scratches and snuggles from her foster. One of her favorite ways to show that she likes and trusts you is to allow you to hold her on her back, nestled in your arms. She does like to play with toys but prefers just sitting and gazing at the world. Jaxie gave birth to her 3 beautiful kittens (March 2026) while in Animal Control. The kittens thrived under her care and they have all been adopted. Jaxie had to stay back a while because she had to have some vet care after her spay...but she has been cleared by the vet now. Despite all of her vet visits, Jaxie has retained her darling ways. Jaxie is ready for her new life as a family member in a home!

Dogs, however, are not her favorite, so she would prefer a dog-free household where she can relax and be the center of attention.Black Raspberry came to us after experiencing litter box issues. After veterinary testing, we discovered that she is prone to developing bladder crystals. Because of this, she will need to remain on a prescription urinary diet, specifically Hill's c/d food, for life. This food can be prescribed and obtained through your veterinarian and is an important part of keeping her healthy and comfortable.Aside from that special dietary need, Black Raspberry is a happy, loving cat who is ready to settle into a home of her own. 18. Patches
Adult (8 years) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 44 mi from Towson

Meow meet Patches! If you’re looking for a cat who can make you feel loved the moment you meet her, Patches might just steal your heart! This beautiful dilute calico adult girl is so friendly that getting pictures of her was practically impossible. Every time someone tried, she had a much better idea - forget the camera and give her some love! Patches wants pets, affection, and to be close to the people around her. She is gentle, sweet, and has so much love to share. Patches came to the rescue through no fault of her own. Her beloved owner developed health issues and could no longer care for her.
Read more about Patches
This was a heartbreaking decision made out of necessity, not a lack of love. Sadly, sometimes circumstances change even when the love is still there, and Patches found herself needing a new place to call home. Thankfully, Patches is healthy and ready for her next chapter! She does need a special diet to support her urinary health, but otherwise, she is ready to fill someone’s days with affection, companionship, and plenty of reasons to smile. Patches has already known what it means to be loved, and now she needs someone to open their heart and home to her again. She isn’t asking for much - just a person who will welcome her affection, enjoy her sweet company, and let her love them as wholeheartedly as she clearly wants to. She has so much love to give, and we hope her next family is out there waiting for a girl just like her.

Adult (6 years) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 44 mi from Towson

Meow meet Fritter! Sometimes the sweetest cats are the ones who quietly find their way to us! Fritter showed up at an established cat colony, presumably after being left there, and it’s hard to imagine someone leaving behind a girl this gentle and loving. Fritter is an absolute sweetheart. She is quiet, docile, affectionate, and wonderfully easygoing. She can be picked up and loves nothing more than being petted, especially those soft scratches behind her ears. Give her a cozy blanket to curl up on, and she is perfectly content to settle in and enjoy some well deserved comfort. She gets along well with other cats and would be a wonderful companion for a senior or a home with older respectful children.

Fritter doesn’t ask for much - just a little kindness, a soft place to sleep, and someone who will appreciate her gentle heart. Why adopt an adult cat in Towson
An adult cat's personality is fully formed, so the rescue can tell you how they are with people, other pets and busy households. Many have lived in foster homes and are used to family life.
Grown cats are calmer and need less supervision than kittens, which suits people who work long hours or have young children.
