1. Oliver
Adult (3 years 5 months) · Male · Domestic Long Hair / Mixed (medium coat) · 15 mi from Hanover

Oliver is a very sweet kitty, that is about 3 years old and weighs about 10 lbs. He was taken in during the cold winter, when he was trapped in a porch he came into to for feeding. Originally vetted as a TNR cat, those plans changed when there was an instinct that he could become a pet cat.
Oliver was very patient over the winter and he slowly grew to trust and crave attention, petting, and interaction.
Oliver has become a super lovey dovey, affectionate cat that craves attention and just loves to be looked after.
Read more about Oliver
Oliver seems fine with dogs and will even try to rub on them if they are friendly and not too dominant. If they are dominant he may bat them away from him to give him his space.
We are looking for a foster home (or adoptive home)for Oliver.
He is so sweet and affectionate and just loves to be loved.
Oliver is FIV positive so it will be important that his next home is either as an only cat, or with another FIV positive companion.
We are looking for a foster home and/or an adoptive home. He has not lived with other cats, (he could be introduced as a process) but may thrive with another cat, he seems to seek out the activity of people and animals. Oliver likes dogs.

2. Tortellini O'Neil
Kitten (5 months 15 days) · Female · Tortoiseshell (long coat) · 17 mi from Hanover

Meet Tortellini O’Neil!
Small kitty, BIG personality! Tortellini O’Neil is a beautiful tortoiseshell girl with a little ninja spice and a whole lot of love to give. Rescued from a sewer and spending time at a local impound, this brave little girl earned her name as a nod to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and their fearless reporter friend, April O’Neil. Now, she’s ready to leave her underground adventures behind and find a forever home where she can live the life of luxury she deserves!
Read more about Tortellini O'Neil
Tortellini has a touch of classic tortie-tude and may be a little spicy when you first try to pick her up. But don’t let that fool you! Once she’s settled into your arms, her ninja attitude melts away, and she transforms into a purring machine.
Think you can catch this little ninja? Think again! Tortellini has SUPER SPEED, especially when she realizes you’re coming to pick her up. She’ll turn it into a game of keep-away, darting off just when you think you’ve got her cornered. Of course, the rules of the game are entirely up to her, and when she finally decides she’s ready to be picked up, she’ll let you know! This girl likes to be in charge of her own adventures, so a little patience and a good sense of humor will go a long way.
On the practical side, Tortellini is a pro at using her litter box and has excellent bathroom manners. She has also met cats and dogs and can coexist happily with other furry friends. She’ll just need slow, thoughtful introductions and time to feel safe and comfortable with her new companions.
As a kitten born around May 2026, Tortellini is ready to start her next big adventure. She’s got the speed of a ninja, the purr of a sweetheart, and enough tortitude to keep life entertaining. Could your home be the perfect hideout for this sweet, speedy little girl? Adopt Tortellini O’Neil and give her the happy ending she deserves!
Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper (PCR) vaccines appropriate to age, Feline leukemia/FIV/HW test, heartworm, ear mite and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $250

3. Massey Ferguson
Young · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 19 mi from Hanover

Miss Allis was surrendered from a local farm with her babies.
Meet Massey Ferguson (aka "Fergie" - Momma)
My name is Massey Ferguson, but my friends call me Fergie! I’m a bit older than the rest of the crew, which just means I'm a lady who is set in her ways. I spent my earlier days as a tough barn cat, and while I am incredibly happy to be safe and warm in a house, I still prefer it if humans leave me to my own devices. I am a gentle soul and have never shown a single ounce of aggression—I just get a little nervous and prefer to hide when people come too close. I find an immense amount of comfort and confidence when I'm with my fellow tractor momma, Allis, and I would love a quiet home where I can just coexist and learn to trust on my own timeline.

Personality: Independent, quiet, and very set in her ways.
Social style: Prefers her space from humans but is completely devoted to her feline friends.
Dream home: A calm, understanding environment with her best friend Allis, and a family who doesn't mind letting a sweet cat just be a cat.

4. Allis Chalmers
Young · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 19 mi from Hanover

Miss Allis was surrendered from a local farm with her babies. Meet Allis Chalmers My name is Allis Chalmers, aka: Allis! At first glance, I look like a sleek black cat, but if you catch me in the right light, you’ll see my secret: striking brown undertones filled with hidden stripes and spots! I’m a former barn cat who is still a bit unsure about humans, but if you give me a chance and pet me just a little, I completely melt. I’ll roll right over onto my back and let you scratch my neck all day! I'm also very playful, quite chatty, and have a lot of love to give. My ultimate dream is to find a forever home where I can stay together with my fellow tractor momma and best friend, Massey Ferguson!
Look: Sleek black coat with beautiful "secret" brown stripes and spots visible in the light.
Personality: A little shy at first, but secretly a playful, chatty mush who loves neck scratches.

Bucket and sibliigs were surrendered from farm in MN.
Meet Bucket
My name is Bucket! I am a beautiful white kitty with striking tabby markings, and yes—I was born with this perfect, built-in "cat eye" eyeliner! I'm a bit of a deep thinker. When I first left the barn, I took my time sizing things up, but I’ve officially decided that humans can be trusted (well, most of the time!). I really enjoy being close to my people and getting love, but I also appreciate a girl who knows how to enjoy her own personal space.

6. Sprocket
Kitten (3 months 26 days) · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 19 mi from Hanover

Sprocket and sibliigs were surrendered from farm in MN.
⚙️ Meet Sprocket
My name is Sprocket! I listened very carefully to my mom's barn stories about humans, and to be honest, I’m still not entirely convinced she was wrong. I like to keep my distance and play it safe by watching my littermates whenever my foster mom is around. They all seem to absolutely love her! They climb all over her and I hear them purring away, so they must know something I don't. I might be ready to open up and join the machinery soon, but for now, I'm just taking my time.
Personality: Observant, cautious, and a little independent.

Now that I know how wonderful people are, I absolutely crave attention and love.

9. Diesel
Kitten (3 months 26 days) · Male · Tabby / Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 19 mi from Hanover

Diesel and sibliigs were surrendered from farm in MN. Meet Diesel
My name is Diesel! When I first traded my barn life for a foster home, I tried really hard to be brave and prove I was the engine running this operation. I did lots of hissing and tucked my ears back tight! Since then, I have learned that being a house cat is way better than being a barn cat. I get food all the time! I have lots of fun playing with my 7 tractor-part littermates, and I purr all the time! I can't wait to meet my forever family, and I would absolutely love it if one of my siblings joined me!First impressions: Tried acting like a tough boss with big hisses and tucked-back ears.
Current status: Realized house life is amazing and turned into a total purr machine.
Favorite things: Constant food, epic playtime, and heavy purring.
Dream home: A loving family, ideally with one of his 7 littermates to keep the party going.

Tank and sibliigs were surrendered from farm in MN.
Meet Tank
My name is Tank! I’m a big, handsome boy with a soft white coat and sharp grey tabby markings. To be honest, I'm a bit on the shy side. My barn mom told me a lot of scary stories about humans, so I’ve been pretty cautious. But since being inside, I haven't seen anything scary at all! In fact, when my foster mom pets me, it actually feels so good. I’m starting to think my mom just never gave humans a fair chance, and I'm ready to find a patient family who will help me keep building my confidence.

12. Minxy
Adult · Male · Sphynx (hairless cat) / Mixed (short coat) · 21 mi from Hanover

About MeMinxy and Mochi are a brother and sister bonded pair seeking a purrrsonal assistant. This role is dynamic, requiring the human to have warm hands for head scritches and the ability to rapidly open cans of food. They both love to try new snacks (will steal your food) and meet new people (will steal your spouse, all your friends, and even your parasocial internet relationships). Mochi announces her entry into every room. In your role as purrrsonal assistant, you will say “So sayeth the Queen!” She is a chatterbox. Minxy is the Queen’s brother. He is NOT the king, he is NOT the prince, he is NOT in charge.
Read more about Minxy
He’s a quiet guy who likes snuggles and head boops. Both are very confident and adaptive. They do many of the typical Sphynx cat behaviors like ask for blanket forts, play in water, and fully take over all human personal space. Bonus Sphynx shenanigans: Minxy knows how to turn on sinks, Mochi knows how to use the human toilet. Ideal home: Breed experience strongly preferred. Minxy has “elf” style ears that require additional cleaning.Ideal home can enforce health and safety rules around human food vs cat food. They are both unabashed human food snatchers with raccoon energy. Balance the higher metabolic needs of the breed with their unhinged bacchanalian palates. They are complete menaces in the kitchen. They have lived with dogs. Fostered with other cats. They get along with everyone they meet. They like children. They are totally comfortable with a busy household with a lot of people coming in and out. Mochi believes every visitor has come to bow before Her Majesty. Minxy hopes every newcomer is DoorDash. 20. Rikki
Adult · Female · Domestic Long Hair / Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (long coat) · 21 mi from Hanover

About MeMeet Rikki, a sweet and outgoing kitty who’s ready to find her forever home! Rikki is the ultimate companion—she’ll greet you at the door, follow you from room to room, and keep a curious eye on whatever you’re up to. She loves to explore, play with wand toys and mice, and scratch away on her post. When it’s time to relax, you’ll find her perched in her cat tree gazing out the window or snuggled up for some quality cuddle time.Rikki is a social kitty who prefers not to be left alone for long stretches of time. She loves people and would do well in a home that can provide her plenty of play time, social interaction, and affection.
Read more about Rikki
She’s done well with young children but can get excited around people and sometimes needs a bit of redirection to a toy or scratching post to prevent little play bites or grabs. Slow introductions to other pets is recommended as she may take some time to warm up to them. And as if Rikki weren't already special enough, she has a naturally curly, ring-shaped tail! It's a rare trait sometimes called a ringtail, and while she can straighten it when she stretches, she usually carries it in an adorable little curl. One little thing to know about Rikki is that she's FIV-positive (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), but don't let that scare you! FIV-positive cats can live long, happy, healthy lives with good nutrition, routine veterinary care, and an indoor lifestyle. FIV is not contagious to people or dogs, and it's primarily transmitted between cats through deep bite wounds—not through everyday activities like sharing food bowls, grooming, or snuggling together. That means FIV-positive cats can often live safely with FIV-negative cats in peaceful, compatible households.Rikki has so much love, personality, and companionship to offer, and her FIV status doesn't change any of that. If you're looking for a loyal little shadow, an enthusiastic playmate, and a snuggly companion, Rikki would love to meet you! ----------WHERE IS THIS PET LOCATED? How to adopt from The Rescue Crew, Inc
Adoption applications must be completed, which include information regarding references and vet clinic information, DL #, names, etc. Reference checks are conducted and when necessary vetting information verified. Discussion about the animal interested in to best assure appropriate and proper placement is made, and educational information regarding how to manage a multi-dog/animal household, slow and proper introductions and the importance of a shut-down period to help the animal acclimate to new surroundings. A "meet and greet" with the animal is required and whenever possible all residents of the household should be present. Home checks may, but not always, be necessary. After adoption applications is approved a contract is required, where we also stipulate that if for any reason the adopter determines they no longer want or can care for the animal we require it be returned to us, with the exception of documented bite history or potentially dangerous or dangerous dog designations. Adoption fees vary, but are comparable to or less than other local rescues and typically are $300 or less for a canine and $150 for a feline.

Adopting a cat in Hanover
Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the cat, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your cat in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.
Senior cats are often the calmest companions and the slowest to find homes. If you'd like a settled, affectionate cat, ask the rescues about their older residents.
Kittens go quickly, especially in spring and summer. If you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon, and think about adopting two: young cats keep each other company and out of mischief.
