Young · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed

Tiny Tim is a handsome, 10-month-old, tripod cow-kitty looking for his forever home. This sweet boy loves playing with food puzzles, interactive toys, and wrestling with the resident cats in his foster home. He is so curious about water; when drinking, he will often dip a paw in to play.Tiny Tim is a busy guy! He had a hind-leg amputation but has fully healed, and has no specific medical needs related to his surgery. Because he’s a young, outgoing guy, Tiny Tim would love another friendly young cat to play away the day with. He's social with children and adults, and open to a family of any size. Hi, I’m Olivia! I’m a spunky, confident, curious, playful little nugget who LOVES people! I’ll happily follow you around like a tiny, furry shadow. Snuggles, pets, laser chasing, and wild kitten zoomies with my bestie, Monkey, are my favorite things! My sweet girl, Monkey, is shyer and more cautious. She missed out on early human socialization, so learning to trust takes her a little extra time (and a few tasty Churu treats!). But my foster parents say earning her trust is SO worth it! With patience, kindness, and love, she’ll blossom into your very own bestie. Meanwhile, I’ll happily supply all the kitten kisses, cuddles, and silly antics your heart desires! We’d love a home without young, fast-moving kiddos to start.

11. Portokali

Young · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed

Meet Porto, a good-natured goofball looking for his forever home! This handsome boy's full name is Portokali, meaning orange in Greek. Of course, this perfectly reflects his handsome orange and white coat! Given his delicate nature and sunny disposition, he could easily be called Poppy or Marigold, sure to bring warmth and cheer into your home. Porto loves people! He may be a little cautious or shy with new people at first, but will soon be flopping down looking for a belly rub. His long lean body makes a big beautiful smile on the floor when he flexes his back and fully stretches his legs and belly.

Read more about Portokali

From his round innocent eyes to the tip of his long expressive tail, Porto is full of wonder and happiness! At barely a year old, everything is pretty new to him. He adapts well to his surroundings and is not easily startled by loud noises. He is fascinated by the magic of a flushing toilet, and curious about the sudden sound of a vacuum cleaner. He could spend all day intently watching everything that moves outside, and forgetting that the window is there to keep him safely inside! Did we mention that he's a goofball? After a few bonks to the head he'll look for a quiet place to enjoy a long nap before coming back out to bounce around with some favorite toys. What a joy it is to watch him play! He loves his catnip toys, balls and springs. And he always appreciates having someone nearby to play with or to offer him some affection. For being so young, this silly boy sleeps a lot and quietly keeps himself entertained. He currently lives quite happily with one boring human who he visits throughout the day and sweetly shares space with at night. Porto does well on his own, but he would probably do even better with a friendly feline playmate. Dogs and kids are unknown, but as long as they are gentle and respectful it should be fine after slow introductions. This kitty would not do well with an alpha pet or anyone hyper or overly active. It should be noted that Porto has recently been found to have a mild case of Cerebellar Hypoplasia, which sounds horrifying, but simply means that he wobbles a bit. His balance and movements are not fully in his control because that part of his brain did not fully develop. This does not affect his intelligence, nor his good looks. It won't get worse nor shorten his life, and he's not weak nor in pain. In fact, when Pet Haven paid for him to have an x-ray, the vet said that Porto has an exemplary body with beautiful muscular structure and perfect bones! He just has a derpy disposition, and doesn't know his limitations.Porto is still learning to adjust while he explores and plays like any normal kitty. For example, he can accidentally clear items off a desk when jumping up, or faceplant when getting back down. So far he doesn't even try to get up on counters, but precautions should be taken to ensure his safety as he grows more confident. He needs to be an indoor only cat. His ideal home would not have a second story balcony or bridge landing that he could fall off of. And his people would look for ways to make his world more safe and fun. Most adjustments are relatively simple such as using non-slip rugs, pet gates or padding in certain areas. We all have days where things don't go right, we drop the ball, or the rug gets pulled out from under us. Stuff like that happens all the time in Porto's world. This cute klutzy kitty can show you how to shake it off and go play!— — —There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. 20. Samira

Young · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed

Meet Samira, a 1-year-old sweetheart looking for her forever home!Samira has the personality of a princess! She loves to sit on the highest perch of her cat tree and look down at her kingdom, while her foster brings her many offerings (toys and treats). She’s very playful and loves to play with springs, wand toys, and crumpled receipts. She is also one of the most affectionate cats ever. She will purr every time you pet her, snuggle up to your legs while you sleep, and make biscuits on soft blankets next to you. Samira has a medium energy level. She definitely loves to play with her human and chase after toys that you throw, but she also likes to lounge, look out the window, and nap.

Read more about Samira

Interactively playing with her a couple times a day will make her very happy, and sometimes she will also independently chase a spring around in the early morning! Samira is currently living with one human in an apartment. Samira would love a home with humans who can give her a lot of attention, possibly with a partial work-from-home schedule or someone who can spend a lot of time at home after work. She loves to know that her human is home with her, and if she thinks you are going somewhere, she will put a paw on you or make an unhappy squeak to tell you she wants you to stay! She has had visitors over in her current home and was very brave and friendly with them, so she could do well in a household with multiple people! If you’re looking for a sweet and affectionate feline friend, Samira can’t wait to meet you! — — —There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. 21. Miss Dahlia

Young · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed

Meet Dahlia (aka Dolly), 6-month-old petite sweetheart will beautiful markings, a gentle nature, and a goofy streak — and she’s looking for her perfect home!Dahlia has the sweetest go-with-the-flow personality you’ll ever see, but she has a secret spunky side too. She loves attention, especially chin scratches and belly rubs, but she’s never demanding about it. She’s just as content curled up in a cozy spot on her own as she is being carried around in her human’s arms like a baby. She adores treat time (she’s even been known to steal the whole bag) and has become quite the puzzle-feeder pro.Dahlia isn’t overly vocal; instead, she offers the cutest little squeak and soft purrs to express herself.

Read more about Miss Dahlia

Once she trusts you, she’ll lean in for affection and show you her silly, sweet personality — and she’ll probably give you a bath during petting sessions too. She’s more laid back than her sister and foster friends, but that’s just her polite nature. When playtime kicks in, she absolutely knows how to hold her own. She may look delicate, but she’s scrappy in the cutest way — rolling, pouncing, and showing off her little tough‑girl side during play‑fights with her foster crew. Once she’s done playing, she’ll retreat to a cozy bed or the sofa to lounge and keep an eye on the action. Dahlia currently lives with her foster mom, her sister, Zinnia, two other foster pals (age 5–6 months), and three resident cats (age 1, 1.5, and 6 years) in a single‑family home with lots of windows and plenty of space. She does beautifully with her foster crew and her three feline “uncles.” Her ideal home would offer sunny windows, comfy perches, and humans who appreciate a young gal with both softness and spunk. She does wonderfully with other friendly cats and because she's still young, would thrive with at least one playful feline buddy — she'd be thrilled to go home with her sister Zinnia or her foster mate, James. She should do well with respectful, older children who understand kitten boundaries, and her experience with dogs is unknown. Once this little gal settles into her new space and family, she'll blossom into a loving, quirky, easygoing companion. She’s ready to bring sweetness, silliness, and a whole lot of charm to her forever home. For more photos and videos, feel free to visit Dahlia's foster mom's Instagram page: Tempurrary_Insanity. — — —There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. Adult · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed

Meet Creamsicle, a one year old playful cat looking for his forever home!Creamsicle is playful, adventurous, vocal, and affectionate. He still has some kitten energy in his system and loves to play and gets the zoomies frequently! He loves to play with all toys, but his favorites are tunnels and wand toys. His tail shivers when he’s excited, which adds to his cuteness. He enjoys being pet and receiving attention, but he’s not quite a lap cat (at least not yet). He will meow to let you know his feelings! Creamsicle is more interested in going under furniture than climbing it, but if there is food to be found up high he will make the climb.

Read more about Creamsicle

He is very food motivated and not a picky eater. Creamsicle currently lives in a house with two adult humans and one senior cat who he is kept separate from. Creamsicle was previously a stray before coming to Pet Haven. He did have an outdoor kitty friend who he played with often and spent lots of time with. Creamsicle has shown interest in the resident senior cat in his foster home, but unfortunately their introduction wasn’t successful and they are separated. However, Creamsicle would likely do well with other friendly and playful cats. He would be fine as a solo cat as well. Above all, Creamsicle is looking for a home with affectionate humans who can give him lots of playtime! Stewart is a 3.5-month-old social butterfly with the purr of a lion and absolutely no concept of personal space. This tuxedo boy purrs almost constantly, climbs people like trees, and loves perching on shoulders to supervise the world from above. He's incredibly people-oriented and wants to be wherever his humans are. Your toes are his absolute favorite, and he’ll try to nibble them whenever they’re in reach; a gentle redirection with a wand toy gets him up and moving after something more suitable!Stewart is your bff forever. If he's separated from his people, he'll loudly announce his displeasure until someone comes to restore order.

26. Violet Bloom

Young · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed

Violet is a spunky, 1-year-old cat looking for her forever home! This beauty is a brown tabby girl with adorable orange “pants,” little white mittens, and a whole lot to say! Violet has come an incredible way in foster care. When she first arrived, she was very frightened, and would bite or scratch when she felt threatened. Two months later, she has transformed! Violet now enjoys affection (even from strangers), gets along with her resident feline friend, and doesn’t hurt anyone, even when they push her buttons. In a new home, she will likely need some time to settle in, but to help her with the transition the adopter can choose to continue her Prozac and Xanax prescriptions that helped her become more relaxed during fostering.

Read more about Violet Bloom

(You may find that she only needs it for a short time as she settles in; that was the case in our home.)Violet is a playful cat and enjoys going after mouse toys (especially those with catnip!) and chasing her foster's resident cat. She is independent and can keep herself entertained, but genuinely enjoys being petted and often likes being picked up, too. Sometimes she'll act cranky about receiving attention, but switches to purring soon after! She will appreciate someone who enjoys her expressive, occasionally sassy ways, but who can also take the hint when she really does want some “me time”. She also enjoys sitting on a perch and observing the goings-on of the house. Violet is a great roommate, who is respectful of your stuff and has excellent litterbox habits, although houseplants may occasionally be mistaken for snacks. (Her forever humans will want to make sure that any house plants are kitty-safe, just in case.)This pretty girl currently lives in a quiet apartment with two adults and a male 1 year old cat. At first she was overwhelmed by everyone and wanted her own space, but now she gets along with everybody and is comfortable with the daily life going on around her.Violet would prefer a quiet space with a space of her own for the first few weeks. While fostering her, we had great success with putting her in her own room with a baby gate so that she can have her personal bubble for as long as she needs, but can also feel stimulated and get used to the sights/sounds/smells of the household and the other cat.Her progress increased exponentially after we tried this! After a few weeks, she will be just fine with whatever daily activity goes on in the house. She is independent and happy to spend time without humans during the daytime, and could be a great fit for owners with an in-person 9-5 job. She should not be placed with dogs or young children, as they may be overwhelming and less attentive to her boundaries. However, she would love to have a friendly cat buddy who will playchase with her, but also respect her boundariesViolet will need extra patience and attention to boundaries for the first few weeks, but when she opens up, her affection will be all that much more rewarding :) She has already shown how much love and personality can shine through when a scared cat starts to feel safe. She's chatty, playful, affectionate, and a little spicy in the best way. Knowing how far Violet has come in her journey will make her love for her humans that much more meaningful. There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. Kitten · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed

I’m Oaklynn, a bold, bubbly, curious little sweetheart (just over 3 months old) with a big personality and an even bigger love for humans. I adore cozy cuddles, gentle pets, after I get my energy out chasing those irresistible lasers, and racing around with my partner-in-crime, Zinnia (4 months old)!My bestie, Zinnia, is a softer, more timid little soul. She didn’t get much human interaction when she was tiny, so she needs extra time to feel safe and secure. But trust me, watching her confidence grow is pure magic! My foster parents say every bit of patience (and every delicious Churu treat!) has been worth it.

Peaches and Timida are a remarkable, bonded mother-daughter duo searching for a forever home where they can continue their journey together. While they are very different in personality, they complement each other perfectly and bring endless love, entertainment, and companionship wherever they go.Peaches is a loving, confident, and incredibly gentle one-and-a-half-year-old mama cat with stunning emerald green eyes and a coat full of hidden surprises. At first glance, she appears mostly gray, but in the sunlight her subtle tortie coloring, orange speckles, white markings, and striped tail with its white tip become beautifully visible.Peaches is the definition of a sweetheart.

She adores affection and would happily accept pets for hours. Her loud, soothing purrs are constant, accompanied by an adorable little wheeze that has remained unchanged since she was rescued. She loves belly rubs, chin scratches, and gentle pats near the base of her tail. Wherever you are, Peaches wants to be nearby, whether she's following you from room to room or lounging close by while you relax.Although she has a calm and easygoing nature, Peaches still has a playful kitten spirit waiting to shine. Daily zoomies and wrestling matches with Timida are a regular source of joy, and when given one-on-one attention, her playful side truly comes alive. After spending much of her young life surviving outdoors and raising kittens, she deserves a home that encourages her to rediscover the carefree kitten hidden inside.Peaches is highly food motivated, enjoys wet food and treats, and isn't shy about reminding you when breakfast is overdue. She is welcoming toward new people and settles into social situations with impressive confidence.Peaches is FIV+, but that doesn’t mean she can’t live a long, normal, and healthy life! With her bright yellow eyes, striking two-toned nose, and beautifully patterned calico-tortie coat, she is every bit as stunning as she is entertaining.True to her name, Timida can be cautious when meeting new people or entering new environments, but beneath that initial hesitation is an affectionate, social, and deeply loving kitten. Once she trusts you, her personality blossoms. She greets familiar people confidently, purrs proudly, and eagerly seeks attention. She appreciates being allowed to approach first and enjoys gentle pets, belly rubs, and the continued practice of being held.Timida is exceptionally smart and endlessly playful. Her favorite game is fetch, particularly with soft hair ties, and she can play for hours without losing enthusiasm. She loves exploring, solving little challenges, diving into blanket forts, and inventing games all on her own. She is also quite vocal and will happily tell you when it's time to play. While Timida is growing into her independence, she still looks to her mother for confidence and comfort. New situations are much easier when Peaches is by her side, and watching their relationship develop is incredibly rewarding. Timida clearly adores her mama and hopes to be her best friend forever.Together, Peaches and Timida create a wonderful balance. Peaches brings calm affection and steady companionship, while Timida fills the home with curiosity, playfulness, and laughter. Adoption applications must be completed, which include information regarding references and vet clinic information, DL #, names, etc. Reference checks are conducted and when necessary vetting information verified. Discussion about the animal interested in to best assure appropriate and proper placement is made, and educational information regarding how to manage a multi-dog/animal household, slow and proper introductions and the importance of a shut-down period to help the animal acclimate to new surroundings. A "meet and greet" with the animal is required and whenever possible all residents of the household should be present. Home checks may, but not always, be necessary. After adoption applications is approved a contract is required, where we also stipulate that if for any reason the adopter determines they no longer want or can care for the animal we require it be returned to us, with the exception of documented bite history or potentially dangerous or dangerous dog designations. Adopting a cat in Wright County

Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the cat, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your cat in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.

Senior cats are often the calmest companions and the slowest to find homes. If you'd like a settled, affectionate cat, ask the rescues about their older residents.

Kittens go quickly, especially in spring and summer. If you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon, and think about adopting two: young cats keep each other company and out of mischief.
