1. Oliver
Young (2 years 5 months) · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

Hi, I’m Oliver! I’m a 2½-year-old guy looking for a special person who understands that some of us need a little extra time to feel comfortable. New environments can be pretty overwhelming for me, and being handled isn’t really my thing just yet.
The good news is that I’m making progress! My foster parents have been patient and respectful of my boundaries, and I’m beginning to enjoy some gentle pets. I may still hiss when I feel nervous, but that’s just my way of saying I need a little space.
Read more about Oliver
I would thrive in a quiet, low-key home without children or lots of commotion, where I can settle in at my own pace and build trust without pressure. I may not be the kind of cat who greets you with a cuddle right away, but with patience, kindness, and a little understanding, I hope to discover just how wonderful a loving home can be. Could you be the person willing to give me that chance?

Hi, I’m Henry! I’m a 1½-year-old big boy with an even bigger heart, and I’m looking for a loving home where I can settle in and feel safe. I’m a total sweetheart who starts purring as soon as the pets begin! New places can make me a little unsure at first, but with some time and patience, my affectionate side shines through.

I would love a home with plenty of toys to chase, bat around, and keep me entertained. I came to the rescue with my dad, Oliver, and while we could find a home together, we’re also happy to find our own families. Whether I’m joining a home with Oliver or becoming your one and only, I can’t wait to find my special place to call home!

3. Tigrillo
Adult (8 years) · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

TIGRILLO HAS A BROKEN HEART and by that, we mean he has a grade 4 heart murmur.
At 7 years old, Tigrillo has a ticker that isn't working quite right, and unfortunately, we don't have a crystal ball to tell us what that means for his future.
It might be his normal, and he could have another 10 years ahead of him. Or his condition could progress, and we might have far less time. We wish we knew. We really do.
But here's the good news.
If his condition progresses, our vet says daily medication may help manage it and give him the longest, best life possible. And those medications aren't expensive.
Read more about Tigrillo
And then there's the other thing you should know about Tigrillo - his ticker might be defective, but his capacity to love is not.
This boy is a GRADE FIVE PURR kind of guy. He's got soft fur, movie-star looks, tiny little mews, slow blinkies, and a serious appreciation for lap time. He's an enthusiastic snacker who loves both crunchies and wet food, and he'll happily engage you in a game with his favorite wand toy when he's not busy being lovable.
He gets along with other cats who respect his personal space (apparently, that feeling is mutual). But when it's time for human affection? Sorry, folks. This lap is reserved. Tigrillo doesn't believe in splitting that love with other cats, and frankly, we respect his undivided commitment.
We haven't seen him with dogs or children yet, so we can't speak to how he'd do with them.
Here's the thing about adopting a cat like Tigrillo.
We can't promise you how many years you'll have together. But we can promise that a heart murmur ' .
Tigrillo is seven years of handsome, affectionate, purring perfection, and he's still got so much love to give.
He's not looking for forever to be guaranteed. He's just hoping for someone to share it with.
Do you have enough love in your heart for Tigrillo?

Felix
Male
DOB: 10/01/24
Read more about Felix
Meet Felix! This little guy (just 7 pounds) was left behind by his previous owner and braved the wild for several weeks before being caught by a caring neighbor and brought to GRASP. Felix is still timid as he adjusts to his new life. He loves pets and snuggles and purrs very loudly to show his appreciation for being rescued. He will probably do best in a quieter home where he feels safe while he continues to get used to new people and environments. He has lived with other cats who picked on him, so it is unknown how he will be with other cats or dogs if properly introduced. He is good with children and would love to find his forever home.

14. Cleo
Young · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

Cleo
DOB: 4/20/2026
If you've been following along Cleo's journey with GRASP, you'd know that this girl's bio has been updated pretty much monthly because this girl never ceases to stop learning and growing!
Cleo was brought in as a feral kitten at just a month old after her mama cat was tragically hit by a car, leaving Cleo and her siblings to fend for themselves. Through months of love and care by GRASP fosters, Cleo's siblings all learned to love people and embrace new lives with forever families. Unfortunately, Cleo hasn't found the right family for her.
Cleo's only 'flaw' that is holding people back from finding her perfect the way we do, is that she does not like to be touched.
Read more about Cleo
No picking her up or petting this sweet girl, but that doesn't mean she doesn't want to be part of the family. Cleo has been crashing in a home with toddlers and she absolutely adores them. She will follow them around the house, sleep at the foot of their bed, and hang out on the couch with them at the same time just not on their lap. We believe with time, patience, and love this girl will eventually allow pets and snuggles, but if she doesn't, is it the worst thing to have an adorable shadow hanging around the family? We don't think so!
Ideally, she'll have another cat or two to hang with as well as she is happiest with other cats around. She currently lives with dogs and does not like when they approach her, but if they are asleep on the couch she doesn't mind laying on the opposite side of them. So respectful dogs are a maybe, but she'd really probably do best without one.

Relish
Female
DOB: 07/04/26
Relish is the cutest little kitten who reminds her foster family of a baby bunny when she bounces around playing with toys. Speaking of toys, Relish LOVES to play. Her favorite thing in the world is to race around chasing ping pong balls. She chirps and makes adorable sounds while she bounces around. Relish starts purring immediately when she hears her foster family's voices or sees them walk into the room. When she's tired of chasing her toys, she likes to make a little nest and wrap up in her blanket. Relish shares a foster home with dogs and other cats.

Adopting a cat in Livingston County
Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the cat, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your cat in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.
Senior cats are often the calmest companions and the slowest to find homes. If you'd like a settled, affectionate cat, ask the rescues about their older residents.
Kittens go quickly, especially in spring and summer. If you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon, and think about adopting two: young cats keep each other company and out of mischief.
