1. Bartholomew

Young · Male · Domestic Medium Hair / Domestic Long Hair (medium coat) · 28 mi from Youngstown

Meet Bartholomew! This handsome boy is the most outgoing and brave of his trio of brothers. Bart and his brothers were trapped as part of a feral colony TNR project, but because they were so young and friendly they came indoors to be spoiled at a foster home. After being trapped, Bartholomew went from a scared little kitten to a big lover in just a few days! He now greets his foster mom with meows, craves attention, and loves to snuggle. He is always happy to be around people and ready for some love!

Read more about Bartholomew

Like most young kittens, Bartholomew would be happiest in a home with feline companionship, so his ideal home will already have another friendly cat or be interested in adopting him with one of his siblings, Xander & Sebastian. Bartholomew has not yet met dogs but should adjust well to respectful canine friends. He is being fostered in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and is about 7 months old.

Bartholomew's adoption fee of $100 includes a negative test for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccines, deworming, topical flea prevention, and a microchip. If adopted with one of his siblings, the adoption fee for the pair is $150. Bartholomew's brothers are Xander & Sebastian. In a dream world, this sweet trio would all be adopted together!

Meet Xao
(pronounced as Zaoww)
Xao is about 1-year young, little Xao is looking for a quiet, comfortable home and a special person to call her own.
Once she feels comfortable, Xao is sweet, enjoys pets, and likes spending time with her person. She’s more of a “hang out beside you” girl than a “pick me up and carry me around” kind of kitty—and there’s something pretty sweet about simply having her nearby.
Xao would be happiest in an adult-only home with someone who understands cats and will give her the time and space to settle in at her own pace. A little cat-whisperer experience certainly wouldn’t hurt!

10. Belle

Young (5 months 27 days) · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 28 mi from Youngstown

Here's what Belle's caretaker has to say about her.

Belle! ❤️

She is a super sweet little girl that sought out a very nice lady and wouldn’t leave her side until she was picked up and toted home with her. ❤️

Belle warms up quickly to humans, she loves pets and attention. It seems she is apprehensive towards other cats but with a slow introduction I think she will do fine. My foster room has 9 other kittens in it, she is currently crated because she was spayed on Monday. She was not happy being put in the room the first two days, now she is doing ok and when she is healed she will be let out to intermingle if she feels comfortable with it.

Here's what Buddy's owner has to say about him!

Buddy Bio

Read more about Buddy

This is Buddy. He is 5 years old. I rescued from an outside blizzard where I heard a very loud kitten screaming. He was scared, cold and starving. He seemed to have been feral at the time with no human contact cuz he was scared to death of people. I had to live trap him to save him the cold. Buddy has came a long way since. He now is learning to more social and trust people. He loves other cats! He is very insecure but another cat makes him feel secure. He is very smart and a pretty big guy. His markings and size remind of a Savannah or a Bengal cat. He is beautiful. He knows his name and will blink at you slowly when you talk to him. He knows the word “bedtime” and will run upon the bed and really open up to being petted at bedtime and even meows for attention at bedtime until you pet him. He loves to eat and will also sit on command for a treat. He is very submissive to other cats. He has only been accepted by a few of the 7 cat household he lives in now. He headbuts with hugs them and rubs all over them. He would thrive in a quiet patient home with another cat to make him feel secure. She is super sweet boy that is slowly coming out of his shell but can tell he wants to trust. He as well has struggled in a 7 cat household and get chased and “put into his place” by the more dominate males. He deserves a quiet and patient home where he can relax and just be a cat with another cat as a friend. He absolutely loves his cat tree where he can relax alone and not be bothered by the other cats.! He loves to watch the birds outside too. He does fear being outside. This guy has a lot of potential to be very lovable cat without so many other cats keeping him on edge. He craves attentions and love but is outnumbered and out ranked in the house. He gets pushed off to the side as the other cats come in for attention and he will submiss to them.

Handsome Buddy is neutered and tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia. Buddy is not a Rose's Rescue cat, we are posting him in order to help his owner find him a new home. He is located in the Mogadore 44260 area. His adoption fee will be $50. Please TEXT ONLY Tammy at 330-730-9756 or email her at tamking1@netzero.net for more information about Buddy.

This is Obie. He is 5 years old. He was rescued from a man that found him in trailer park in the snow all alone under a trailer and no mama or siblings in sight when he was less than 3 weeks old and was bottle fed. I have had khim ever since. Obie is very sweet and “romantic” kitty. He loves to give head buts and rubs his face on yours. He loves to be smooched on and now exacly what smooches are. He is very smart. Sits on command for a treat and he loves his treats. He also hunts down bugs” I you say the word “bug”. He is very lovable once he bonds with you. At first he can be shy but full of love to give. He would do well in a quiet home as well. He has been in a 7 cat household and would love to have more attention all for himself. He loves to play with flying toys and he is very sporty and nimble. He does not meow…he also has a “chirp” when he talk to you. He knows his name and will talk (chirp) to you. He will have a whole conversation with ya! He is a very good boy and just wants one on one love without having to compete for it. Just full of love to give once he warms up to you. He loves to be baby talked to and gets flirty with ya when you do. He loves to sleep next to you UNDER the covers in bed. He loves to be covered up when sleeping and lets you “tuck him in” when you ask him. He is such a big baby at heart and loves to be babied. Loves peace and quiet as well. He is afraid of going outside and loud noises and storms but loves to look and chirp at the birds and bugs outside…from a window on the inside.

She loves to just hang out with you on your lap as she slants her head and gazes at you with love. She LOVES to be brushed and will come running if you ask if she wants brushed. She will cry for it if you are brushing you own hair. She is very smart. She is a very big girl cat and loves to eat she was starved at her first “home” and is always ready to eat.

Loverboy is just a big goofy and laid back cat weighing about 22 pounds. He don’t have a mean bone in his body and super super sweet big guy and loves everyone. He is a big loof and loves belly rubs and brushed. When you say “ let me see your belly”….he drops to the floor and rolls over so he can get his belly rubbed and lay on his back making ait biscuits. He is a very good foot warmer as he loves to plop down on ya when any chance he gets. He as well loves to eat for same reason as Marilyn. Will sit on command for a treat. He loves his little sister Marilyn and always grooming on her when she comes over for some big brother love. He loves EVERYONE and will be the first one to greet anyone that comes over. Everyone loves and adores him. He is very verbal and likes to talk. He loves to talk out the window at the birds. He and Marilyn can get playful when you bring toys out.
They both just love stroller rides outside. Both are very good at getting nails trimmed. Both these guys are really easy to love cats and lovable cats and just good cats. They are adorable together as you see how very bonded they are together. They both would just love a quiet and peaceful home with plenty of love and affection and of course…food and treats food and treats.

21. Yoshi

Young (4 months 27 days) · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 46 mi from Youngstown

Yoshi is an adorable 5-month-old boy who is looking for someone willing to give him a little time to show just how special he really is.

Yoshi and his littermates were trapped and brought into rescue with their mama. Because they didn’t get much exposure to people during those important first few months of life, Yoshi can be cautious with new people and new surroundings. He isn’t the kitten who will necessarily show you his whole personality on day one—but give him a little time, and you’ll get to meet the REAL Yoshi.

Read more about Yoshi

Once Yoshi realizes he is safe and can trust you, he is incredibly sweet, loving, playful, and affectionate. We’ve watched that personality come out, and multiple people who have spent time with him have seen what an amazing little guy is hiding behind that initial shyness.

Yoshi would do best in a calmer home with someone who understands that trust isn’t always instant. He needs a person willing to give him a few weeks to settle in, build a relationship, and learn that he is safe and loved.

And we’re willing to give YOU that time, too! Yoshi can go into a foster-to-adopt home so you can spend a few weeks getting to know one another and make sure it’s the right fit.

If you’re willing to invest a few weeks earning this boy’s trust, we truly believe the reward will be worth it. Sometimes the animals who make you work a little harder for their love end up giving you the very best kind.

Adoption is $175 which includes his neuter, age-appropriate vaccines, microchip and current monthly prevention. To fill out an application for this animal or a general application click HERE.

Read more about Baby

Baby
Sweet little girly gal that enjoys her peace and quiet with her person. She is super sweet and like to give hugs when asked to your forehead. She will also give you “kisses” and lick your forehead when asked. She likes to sleep in your bed with you and even knows when you tell her “it’s bedtime”. She likes to play fetch with her mouses and bring it back to ya for more fetch. She doesn’t “meow”…she chirps when you say her name. She would thrive I a quiet and peaceful home. She has shared a household with 7 other cats where she has been constantly stalked and chased and has made her “on edge” all the time. She does “tolerate” to get her nails trimmed….but not a big fan. She has never biten but does get pretty vocal of her dislike of it. She just loves to sit and watch the birds outside and if a bug gets in the house, you say the word “BUG’ and she is on it looking to get it. She does not like soft cat food but she does just adore her cat treats. I would always give her treats after a nail trim as a reward to associate getting nails done with positive reward. You ask her to “sit” and she will sit for her treat.

Note from Rose's Rescue:This beautiful 7 year old tabby girl is spayed and tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia. Baby is not a Rose's Rescue cat, we are posting her to help her owner find her a new home. She is located in the Mogadore 44260 area. Her adoption fee will be $50. Please TEXT ONLY Tammy at 330-730-9756 or email her at tamking1@netzero.net for more information about Baby.

24. Cora Bell

Adult (3 years 1 month) · Female · Calico (short coat) · 46 mi from Youngstown

Cora is a beautiful 3-year-old calico with an incredibly loving, affectionate personality. This sweet girl wants nothing more than to be by your side! She’ll happily follow you from room to room, chatting along the way and making sure you always have company.

Cora loves attention, affection, and of course, her wet food! She’s also wonderfully comfortable around dogs—even a big 79-pound dog is no big deal. She’ll stroll right past him without batting an eye.

When it comes to other cats, though, Cora has made her feelings pretty clear. She’s perfectly willing to share her people with a respectful dog—she’d just prefer not to share them with another feline.

Cora is a sweet, confident girl with so much love to give. If you’re looking for a beautiful little companion who wants to be part of your everyday life—and you’re looking for just one special kitty—Cora may be your girl.

27. Fritatta FIV+

Adult · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Tabby / Mixed (short coat) · 43 mi from Youngstown

Meet Fritatta, he is 2-3 years young and a shy guy who prefers to take life—and people—at his own pace. He’s still pretty unsure about us humans, but there is one very reliable way to get his attention: crack open a can of wet food and suddenly you’re much more interesting.
He’s also a curious little guy, and that curiosity gives us hope that with time, patience, and a calm home, he’ll continue to come out of his shell.
He would do best in a quiet, adult-only home with no kids, where nobody expects him to be a social butterfly overnight. He’s looking for someone willing to let him settle in on his terms—and maybe keep the wet food coming.

Read more about Fritatta FIV+

While Fritatta is FIV-positive, it is not contagious to humans or other animals. It is safe for him to live with other kitties who are not FIV+. He takes Lysine daily to help support his immune system, and this medication will need to continue in his new home.

Many FIV-infected cats can live happily with the virus for a long time, and in some cats, the virus may never cause illness. Whether disease develops depends on several factors including the strain of FIV a cat is infected with, the cat’s immune response, and the presence or absence of other infections.

The main aims of managing an FIV infection are to prevent further spread of infection to other cats and to maintain a good quality of life for the infected cat.

General and supportive treatment includes:

Neutering all FIV-infected cats to reduce the risk of fighting and the spread of infection

Keeping FIV-positive cats indoors and keeping them away from non-infected cats. This helps prevent the spread of infection to other cats and reduces exposure of the FIV-infected cat to other infections.

In stable homes where cats don’t fight, the risk of spread of infection is low

Feeding good quality, commercial cat food and avoiding raw meat, eggs and unpasteurized dairy products

Maintaining routine preventive healthcare (regular flea and worm control, routine vaccinations etc.)

Veterinary health checks twice yearly. Your vet may recommend certain blood tests periodically to monitor your cat’s health

Prompt diagnosis and appropriate treatment of any secondary or concurrent diseases

Fritatta’s adoption fee is $145.00

Why adopt an adult cat in Youngstown

An adult cat's personality is fully formed, so the rescue can tell you how they are with people, other pets and busy households. Many have lived in foster homes and are used to family life.

Grown cats are calmer and need less supervision than kittens, which suits people who work long hours or have young children.
