9. Braveheart
Kitten (6 months) · Male · Domestic Short Hair · 15 mi from Bethlehem

Meet Braveheart! This sweet boy came from a feral colony site with 80 cats we helped tnr. He was tnred as he would constantly run from us. While in recovery from his neutering we noticed he would try to be brave and come get some pets. It did take us some time to earn him trust and will in his new home but he is totally worth it. He is extremely sweet and just wants constant pets now. He does still get nervous with things and will take off with loud noises but if you sit and have patience with him he will come back for the love. He even will yell at you if you stop petting him. He does love other cats and enjoys chasing and play wrestling with them so a home with another cat would be the best fit for him.

13. Magnus
Male · Domestic Long Hair (long coat) · 13 mi from Bethlehem

*Magnus is a courtesy listing. Here is what his caretaker has to say:This is Magnus. He most certainly knows his name by now. I have had him since November from bringing him inside from a job site my daughter's father was working at. He is long haired and grey. I just had him neutered and he has gotten his rabies shot. He is litter box trained & has been around other cats as well as children. He has encountered a dog but they were not the friendliest dog, so Magnus just ran, I am not sure how he would do with a friendly one. He is gentle, so sweet, still skittish, and keeps to himself around my other four cats I currently have.

19. Mariposa
Kitten (3 months 25 days) · Female · Domestic Short Hair · 15 mi from Bethlehem

MARIPOSA
Mari (Mariposa) — “Butterfly”
Meet Mariposa — or Mari, for short — a precious little girl with a personality that is every bit as adorable as she is!
Mari is a petite shorthaired black beauty with just a sprinkling of white hairs on her chest. But her tiny size certainly doesn’t mean a tiny personality! This girl is outgoing, confident, curious, and absolutely bursting with life.
Mari will happily wear you out with her inexhaustible enthusiasm for play. Wand toys? YES! Wrestling with her kitten buddy? Absolutely! Flying through the air? Oh, you bet! Mari is a high flyer, and WOW, can this little girl jump!
But just when you think she’s ready to keep the party going forever, Mari does a complete 360. Suddenly, her busy little body melts into cuddle mode. When her foster mom sits on the floor, Mari loves to perch on the futon behind her and gently play with her hair. Then come the nose bops, the affection, and those glorious, heart-melting purrs.
And if that isn’t sweet enough, just watch what happens when her foster mom walks into the room. Mari comes racing over, eager to be picked up, loved on, and cuddled. She has so much affection to give and seems to believe that every human entering the room has come specifically to adore her!
Mari is currently being fostered with another kitten, and the two have a wonderful time wrestling and chasing each other. Her buddy is quite a bit bigger, so Mari doesn’t always win the wrestling matches — but she certainly never lets that stop her from trying! She has also been exposed to children and loves interactive play with wand toys.
Mari would love a home with another playful kitten or young, energetic cat who can keep up with her kitten antics and give her a buddy to romp around with. Of course, once playtime is over, she’ll be more than happy to trade those zoomies for a warm lap and a serious cuddle session.
This tiny butterfly has a HUGE heart, a spectacular purr, and an enormous amount of love to give. ❤️
Could Mari be the little girl who flutters straight into your heart?

22. Athena
Kitten (4 months 3 days) · Female · Domestic Short Hair · 15 mi from Bethlehem

Meet Athena!
Like her namesake, Athena is a little more thoughtful and reserved than some of her fellow Greek gods and goddesses. She can be shy and timid at first, and she needs a little time to decide that you're someone she can trust. But once you've earned her confidence, you'll discover a completely different Athena!
She is a big cuddle bug who loves nothing more than curling up with her people and stealing all the warmth she can get. Basically, once you're in her inner circle, you're hers.
Read more about Athena
Athena gets along well with other respectful cats and does well with children. She should also be perfectly happy living with a cat-friendly dog with a proper introduction. She's looking for a home willing to be patient while she comes out of her shell- and in return, she'll give you one very sweet, very cuddly companion. Athena may not trust you right away, but once she does, you'll have a cuddle buddy for life.

24. Malcolm
Kitten (5 months 27 days) · Male · Domestic Medium Hair · 15 mi from Bethlehem

Meet Malcolm!
Malcolm is the sweet, slightly shy orange boy that has stolen his fosters heart!
Many of his siblings have already been adopted. Malcolm had to wait a little longer because of his heart!
Malcolm had an echo which came back normal- he has what you call a "flow murmur". It is a 2/6. His heart is structurally HEALTHY. The murmur/sound is purely caused by the way the blood flows through his heart. Therefore, there is no worry or special needs associated with Malcolm.
Now that Malcolm has a clean bill of health, he is ready to find a furrever home!

27. Cindy
Adult · Female · Russian Blue / Mixed (short coat) · 21 mi from Bethlehem

My name may be Silly, but there’s actually nothing silly about me at all. I’m a chatty, loving, and gentle girl who will make it very easy for you to fall in love.I came from a home with many other cats, and when my owner needed to reduce the number of cats in the house, I found myself looking for a new beginning. While my world changed overnight, I haven’t let it dim my sweet personality. I still greet people with affection, ask for attention, and happily chat away as if we’ve known each other forever.I love other cats and get along wonderfully with them. I’m also very food-motivated, so a tasty snack is a quick way to win my heart.

As for dogs, I’m not quite sure how I feel about them yet, but I do know one thing: kids are going to adore me. I’m patient, gentle, and would love nothing more than to curl up beside them while they read me a story or spend the afternoon together. All I want is a family to call my own, one that will love me as much as I’ll love them. I’ve already lost one home, and I’m hoping my next one will truly be forever.Could that forever home be yours? 28. Odysseus
Kitten (4 months 6 days) · Male · Domestic Short Hair · 15 mi from Bethlehem

Meet Odysseus!
Odysseus may have traveled quite a journey to get here, but he’s hoping his next adventure is a forever home!
This handsome boy is very, VERY friendly and always ready for some fun. He loves to play, loves attention, and is equally happy curling up with his favorite humans for some serious cuddle time. And when he’s happy? You’ll know it. Odysseus is an absolute purr machine, or perhaps more accurately, a full-sized purr engine.
Read more about Odysseus
He gets along well with other cats and would love to have a playful feline companion to keep him company. He also does well with children and would be a great match for humans who are ready to give him plenty of playtime, affection, and attention. Dogs are a little more complicated. Odysseus can be hesitant around them, but with a cat-friendly dog and a proper introduction, he should be able to adjust.
After everything he’s been through, Odysseus is ready to leave the wandering behind and finally make it home.
Could you be the final stop on his journey?

30. Maisie
Kitten (2 months 20 days) · Female · Tabby / Scottish Fold / Mixed (short coat) · 13 mi from Bethlehem

Update this adorable kitten is pending adoption! Please check out her available and equally adorable siblings.Meet Maisie!
Maisie is one of 5 kittens, but she is the only one in the litter born with floppy ears and a short tail just like her father. Other than being a bit smaller than her siblings, she matches them in playfulness and is probably the friendliest of the group. She is approximately 9 weeks old.Maisie must be adopted with a sibling or go to a home that already has another young cat to serve as a playmate.
Although she and her siblings were born outside to a cute little black and white momma cat, they seem to have some Scottish fold DNA.
Read more about Maisie
Their dad is an adorable round faced cat with folded ears, a local pet who's owner apparently lets him roam. Only Maisie inherited dad's folded ears and short tail while the other 4 babies have mom's ears and normal length tail. All of the kittens are super cute and sweet.

Adopting a cat with children in Bethlehem
Bring the whole family to meet the cat before you adopt, and ask the rescue how the cat behaves around children your kids' ages.
Teach children to let the cat come to them, to stroke gently, and to leave the cat alone while it's eating, sleeping or using the litter box. Give the cat a high or quiet spot to retreat to.
Relaxed adult cats are often a better match for young children than kittens, which scratch and nip while they play.
