She may be tiny, but she makes up for it with her big heart and curious personality.Kiki’s story is pretty special, too. One day, she followed her foster all the way home, almost as if she knew she was ready to leave outdoor life behind and become someone’s beloved house cat. Now she’s looking for a forever family to give her all the love, comfort, and cuddles she deserves.Could Kiki be your new little shadow?

7. Yogi
Yogi is a 6 year-old male Bengal, neuterer, microchipped, INDOOR ONLY, and up to date on vaccines.
About Yogi:
Read more about Yogi
We call Yogi our forever kitten because he is rather tiny (10 lbs) and gives off kitten energy. He is a majestic little guy - his coat is absolutely beautiful and shimmers in the sun.
Like most cats, Yogi sleeps the majority of the day but when he is awake he loves to be around his humans and absolutely loves playtime. His favorite toy is a fishing-rod style toy and he loves to leap through the air to catch it. He is an amazing athlete! He also loves to chase and eat flies.
Yogi is fine with older children but does not like to be chased or grabbed by little ones. He is not aggressive, he will react by hiding.
Yogi does not like to be picked up. He loves pets and nuzzles, and he will cuddle up to you but it has to be on his own terms.
He does not tolerate nail trims very well so he needs scratching posts.
Litter trained
Eats wet and dry food
Currently takes transdermal Prozac (cream swiped in his ear 1x day). This was started a couple months ago to try to reunite our cats but has not helped so I believe it can be stopped once he has settled in his new home. I will provide his meds and show you how I administer, or I can wean him off before his rehoming if you aren’t comfortable.
Was last seen by a vet in August. He has an early stage dental resorptive lesion impacting 1 tooth. At some point when it begins cause pain the tooth will need to be extracted.
Ideal home: We feel Yogi will thrive in a pet-free home (or with a dog who is confirmed to be cat-friendly) with owners who can give daily playtime and enrichment. Yogi doesn’t require a ton of time, but he does like to be played with daily and consistently. I also think he would enjoy enriching activities like food puzzles and being trained to do tricks if that’s in your wheelhouse.
Ideal home does not have small children as Yogi is fearful of children who grab and chase.
Please note his adoption fee is $300

19. Shire
Full of energetic personality Shire is the only surviver of a sick litter of 5 bottle babies and enthusiastically embraces life with zest. He loves hard and plays hard. His purr can be heard across the room and loves to snuggle on your chest in blissful contentment. He loves food and will try anything once, even yours.Like any young kitten he is sometimes forgets his manners when playing and needs a home with school aged children and experienced cat owners with mature cats who will remind him to be less rambunctious and more respectful when playing. He is also very dog friendly and loves to play with any living thing, hence the need for well matched mature playmates until he grows up a little. He also plays well on his own independently if you are busy. When he is reunited with his human companions he will run up chirruping loudly and demand affection and attention which with his soft fur and appreciative purring make it a pleasure. Shire survived for a reason , maybe it’s you!
Note: if you do not have any other pets, we require that you adopt TWO kittens. This is for the benefit of the kitten for behavioral development. Companionship is critical.

We believe in an adoption approach that considers important details for finding the right fit, such as a person's home, interests and lifestyle. We then match those with an animal's social, exercise and training needs. Unlike “pass/fail” application programs, we strive to match people and animals through education and discovery. We accomplish this through conversation to create an effective, pleasant adoption experience — and most important — to make lasting matches. Each situation, adopter and animal requires a different approach. And while we reserve the right to refuse an adoption, we always make every effort to work with you to address concerns or find the most appropriate companion animal. Before falling in love with one of our animals, please make sure that you are: At least 21 years of age In possession of a valid photo ID Allowed to have a cat or dog where you live (proof of home ownership or copy of lease with pet clause allowing pets is required) Able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide the training, medical treatment and proper care for the animal Able to provide veterinary references for current and past veterinarians PLEASE ALLOW 4-5 BUSINESS DAYS FOR YOUR APPLICATION TO BE THOROUGHLY PROCESSED BY ONE OF OUR ADOPTION COUNSELORS If the animals are still listed on our website they are still available. Adopting a cat in Trooper
Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the cat, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your cat in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.
Senior cats are often the calmest companions and the slowest to find homes. If you'd like a settled, affectionate cat, ask the rescues about their older residents.
Kittens go quickly, especially in spring and summer. If you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon, and think about adopting two: young cats keep each other company and out of mischief.
