1. Zenith
Adult · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 49 mi from Jackson

Mama Zena and her son Zenith have been together from the beginning—and if you look for them at nap time, chances are you’ll find them together then, too.
They came to Revelation Gardens as part of a young family when Zena was still a very young mama herself. And because we apparently couldn’t resist an opportunity, everyone in the family received a name beginning with
Z
.
The kittens grew up long ago, but Zena and Zenith never stopped enjoying each other’s company.
Read more about Zenith
These two are incredibly sweet, good-natured cats who love people as much as they enjoy each other. They spend their days playing, lounging on their catio, soaking up the sunshine and settling in for long naps—often curled up together.
Mama Zena is affectionate and loving and has one particularly endearing quirk:
She loves feet.
Given the opportunity, Zena will happily rub against them and love on them. We don’t entirely understand the appeal, but after all these years, we’ve learned not to question her hobbies.
Zenith is a social, playful boy with a distinctive look all his own. He’s long and lanky with unusually long legs, and he loves affection, playtime and being part of whatever is happening around him.
While Zena and Zenith could probably adjust to life independently, they genuinely enjoy being together. We often find them sleeping side by side, and after sharing so much of their lives,
we would love to see them find a home together.
For someone considering adopting two cats, Zena and Zenith offer something pretty wonderful: a mama and son who already know and love one another, while still having plenty of affection left for their person.
They are healthy, spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.
If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, affectionate pair—and don’t mind sharing your lap with one and your feet with the other—Zena and Zenith may be your family.

3. Ziggy
Adult · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 49 mi from Jackson

Ziggy is one of those cats who just has a great personality.
He’s loving, playful, affectionate and full of life. Ziggy especially loves his wand toy and has even been known to carry it over to his person when he’s ready to play. He also enjoys bird watching, spending time on the catio and, most of all, having a person to call his own.
Read more about Ziggy
Ziggy has been adopted before. He went home with one of his brothers, but while there, he began urinating outside the litter box. There were dogs in the home, and because Ziggy is frightened of dogs, we believed stress may have been contributing to the behavior. He was returned to Revelation Gardens and has not had an ongoing issue since being back in an environment where he feels comfortable.
Finding that comfortable environment took a little experimenting.
Ziggy initially returned to a cabin where his mama and one of his brothers live, but another cat began picking on him. We eventually moved Ziggy into our main house—and that’s where we’ve watched him thrive.
Ziggy can have an interesting relationship with other cats. Sometimes he’s the one being picked on, and sometimes he decides he’d rather be the boss. He’s capable of living happily with feline companions, but personalities and energy levels need to be a good match.
One cat we already know he enjoys is his friend Conway. The two could be adopted together, although they don’t have to be.
Ziggy could also do very well as the only cat in a home where he gets plenty of attention, or potentially with one or two friendly, compatible cats. A home without dogs would be best for him.
More than anything, we think Ziggy is ready for something that’s difficult to provide in a busy rescue:
a person of his own.
He’s an affectionate, fun-loving boy with so much companionship to give. In the right environment—one where he feels safe and the personalities around him fit—Ziggy has everything he needs to be an absolutely wonderful companion.
Give Ziggy a place where he belongs, and he’ll give you one very devoted friend in return.

4. Zuri
Adult · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 49 mi from Jackson

Zuri and Zarina came to Revelation Gardens as tiny orphaned kittens. Since then, they’ve had more than one home—but what these sweet girls have never had is the certainty that the next one will truly be forever.
The sisters were first adopted and spent a couple of years with their person before a change in living circumstances meant they could no longer stay. They returned to Revelation Gardens and were later adopted by an older couple, only to be returned again when the couple decided they were no longer able to have cats.
We tried once more.
Read more about Zuri
Zuri found the PetSmart adoption environment particularly stressful, so she returned to the sanctuary while Zarina stayed and was adopted. Hoping to reunite the sisters, we contacted Zarina’s adopter, who agreed to welcome Zuri too.
Unfortunately, within a short time, uncertainty about possible future life changes led to both girls being returned once again.
None of those returns changed who Zuri and Zarina are.
They are still incredibly sweet, loving girls who enjoy playing, relaxing in the sunshine and spending time with their people. Zarina is particularly affectionate and has one very favorite way to receive attention:
She wants to be carried around like a baby.
And she absolutely adores it.
Zuri is more sensitive to change and unfamiliar environments, so she’ll need additional patience while adjusting. Once these girls know they’re safe, they are wonderful companions.
After everything they’ve experienced, Revelation Gardens is not in a hurry to send Zuri and Zarina anywhere. They have a home with us for as long as they need one.
But we haven’t stopped believing they deserve a home of their own.
If that home comes along, we’re looking for something very specific—not perfection, but
commitment
. Someone who understands that circumstances can change, cats need time to adjust, and bringing an animal home means planning for them to remain part of the family through those changes.
Zuri and Zarina have already started over enough times.
Their next home shouldn’t be another stop along the way. It should be the place they finally get to stay.

6. Wildfire
Kitten (2 months 29 days) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 49 mi from Jackson

Raven and Wildfire’s story began in a way no kitten’s story should. They were found being actively pecked by crows, with the rest of their litter sadly already deceased. Raven had a wound on her head, and both kittens needed help.
After being seen by our veterinarian, they were treated with antibiotics and came to Revelation Gardens to heal. And heal they did.
Today, Raven and Wildfire are happy, healthy kittens who are ready to leave that difficult beginning behind and find a home of their own — together.
Read more about Wildfire
These two are fun, sweet, rambunctious, and wonderfully silly. They play hard, explore everything, and bring exactly the kind of joyful chaos you would expect from two kittens growing up side by side. And somehow, they both came equipped with the most perfect little white socks.
After everything Raven and Wildfire survived together, they have remained closely bonded and are looking for a family who will welcome them both.
Their beginning was frightening. Their next chapter should be filled with play, love, safety, and a home where those perfect white socks can run wild. ❤️

8. Presley
Adult · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 49 mi from Jackson

Presley came to Revelation Gardens after we were called to help cats living in a home where conditions had deteriorated severely. When we arrived, it was clear that every cat in the home needed help—including Presley.
The experience had taken a toll. Presley arrived frightened and unsettled, and adjusting to another enormous change wasn’t easy. What he needed most was time, consistency and the chance to feel safe again.
Today, Presley is an entirely different cat.
Read more about Presley
He’s incredibly sweet, smart and wonderfully communicative—Presley has plenty to say and isn’t shy about having a conversation. He loves to cuddle and has become deeply attached to his people. He’s also discovered some rather specific forms of entertainment, including stealing hair elastics and investigating just about any drawstring attached to your clothing.
Presley currently lives at our second sanctuary location, where he has found the stability and security he needed after everything he experienced.
New environments can still be difficult for him. An attempt to introduce him to potential adopters in a busy adoption setting was simply too much, and we’ve learned from that experience. If Presley finds another home, it needs to happen thoughtfully, with someone willing to give him time to adjust rather than expecting him to immediately show the affectionate, funny boy we know.
There is no deadline for Presley. He has a home with Revelation Gardens for as long as he needs one.
But we also won’t assume that the place where he recovered must be the only place he’ll ever belong.
For the right person, willing to earn his trust and give him time, there is an extraordinarily loving cat waiting on the other side.

9. Pez
Adult · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 49 mi from Jackson

Pez is a big boy, a bit of a troublemaker, and a complete baby at heart.
Pez originally came to Revelation Gardens as a kitten and was adopted. Years later, we learned that conditions in his home had deteriorated severely, and Pez returned to Revelation Gardens along with several other cats from the home.
He had been through a tremendous amount, but Pez is resilient—and underneath it all is an incredibly loving cat who wants something pretty simple:
a person of his own.
Read more about Pez
Pez is smart. Very smart. Doors, cupboards and drawers are apparently puzzles placed in his environment specifically for him to solve. He needs a home that will keep both his mind and his body engaged, with active playtime, things to investigate, and plenty of opportunities to climb and perch.
In fact, Pez may be part tree cat.
He loves being up high, surveying his surroundings from a good vantage point. But for all his independence and curiosity, Pez is also a big baby who thrives on consistency, affection and cuddling with his person. When the adventures are over, he’s perfectly happy settling in beside someone he loves.
Pez currently lives with Presley and Elvis, but he doesn’t need to be adopted with them. In fact, his strong personality and desire for attention may make him particularly happy as an only pet, where he can have his environment—and his person—largely to himself.
Pez is healthy, neutered and up to date on vaccinations.
After everything Pez has experienced, we’re looking for more than somewhere for him to live. We’re looking for someone who will appreciate his intelligence, keep his world interesting, laugh when he inevitably figures out something he wasn’t supposed to, and give this big baby the consistency and connection he craves.
If you’re looking for one extraordinary cat to make you laugh, keep you on your toes, and then curl up beside you at the end of the day, Pez may be your boy.

10. Pepper
Adult · Female · Domestic Long Hair / Mixed (long coat) · 49 mi from Jackson

Pepper came to Revelation Gardens from the outdoor cat colony near the local Elks Lodge, several years before the emergency evacuation of that colony.
She has been with us for a long time now, and we’ve had plenty of opportunity to learn something important about Pepper:
She likes her space.
Pepper is a beautiful, quiet girl who startles easily and prefers to experience her relationships with people from a comfortable distance. She isn’t a lap cat. She doesn’t seek out petting, and when someone approaches too closely, she’s much more likely to move away than lean in for affection.
And that’s okay.
Read more about Pepper
Over the years, we’ve learned not to measure every cat’s happiness by how much physical affection they’re willing to accept. Pepper can feel safe and content without wanting to be held, cuddled or touched.
Could Pepper ever live in a home of her own? We think it’s possible—but it would take a very particular person.
Her person would need to understand that adopting Pepper isn’t a project. There may never be a day when she suddenly climbs into a lap or decides she enjoys being petted. The reward would be quieter: watching her become comfortable in her environment, seeing her relax across the room, and knowing that you’ve given a shy cat a safe place where nothing is demanded of her.
Revelation Gardens is Pepper’s home for as long as she needs it to be. But if someone comes along who understands her exactly as she is, we won’t close the door on another possibility.
Pepper doesn’t need someone to teach her how to love people. She needs someone who understands that trust can sometimes look like simply choosing to stay in the room.

11. Sterling
Adult · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 49 mi from Jackson

Opal and her son Sterling have spent nearly their entire lives together.
They were once outdoor cats living behind our former shop on Main Street, where we got to know them before they eventually became part of the Revelation Gardens family. Their tipped ears are a little reminder of those outdoor-cat beginnings.
Life these days is considerably more comfortable.
Opal and Sterling are both sweet, easygoing cats with quiet personalities. They enjoy affection, being brushed and spending time with their people, but neither feels the need to be the center of attention. They’re perfectly content to find a comfortable spot and simply enjoy the day.
Read more about Sterling
Their favorite place is the catio.
Having spent part of their lives outdoors, both still appreciate fresh air, sunshine and the opportunity to watch everything happening around them. An ideal home would offer them a secure enclosed catio or similar protected outdoor space where they can enjoy that connection safely.
They’ve also retained at least one useful skill from their outdoor days: both are accomplished mousers.
Opal and Sterling have shared a home for many years, and we would love to see them adopted together. However, we also recognize that a lifelong relationship doesn’t necessarily mean two cats cannot thrive independently. For the right home, we would consider an individual adoption based on what seems best for each of them.
What matters most is that these two quiet, deserving cats finally have the opportunity to experience something they’ve never really had before:
a home—and people—to call entirely their own

13. Pickle
Adult · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 49 mi from Jackson

Olive and Pickle have been through a lot together—and through it all, these two sisters have had each other.
Originally rescued from the streets of Nashville, Olive and Pickle went on to do something pretty remarkable: together, they helped care for ten kittens, including two orphaned babies who needed a mama.
Read more about Pickle
At some point in their journey, one of the sisters also required a C-section. Later, their lives were disrupted again around the time of a catastrophic flood in their community. We know the sisters experienced significant upheaval and were moved several times before eventually being brought to Revelation Gardens, although we no longer have enough information to confidently tell every detail of that part of their story.
What we do know is that after so much change, Olive and Pickle arrived together.
And together is how they will stay.
These sisters are very bonded and take comfort and security from one another. Both can be timid with new people, which isn't particularly surprising given how much instability they've experienced. They need someone who won't rush them or expect instant affection.
Give them time to feel safe, though, and you'll discover two incredibly sweet girls who enjoy affection and spending quiet time with the people they trust.
Olive and Pickle aren't looking for someone to make them less timid. They're looking for someone who understands that trust doesn't have to happen on a schedule.
They've cared for kittens who needed them. They've weathered upheaval and more than one change of home. And through all of it, they've had each other.
Now we'd love to find them the kind of home where neither one ever has to wonder what's coming next.

15. Northstar
Adult · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 49 mi from Jackson

Northstar is a strikingly handsome boy with a gentle personality to match.
He’s also a cat who likes to know that his world is safe before he fully participates in it.
Northstar is naturally shy and tends to stay in the background when he’s uncertain. New people and unfamiliar situations take some time for him to process, and the activity of a group rescue environment can sometimes be difficult for a sensitive cat like him.
But give Northstar consistency, routine and time, and you’ll begin to see a different boy.
Read more about Northstar
Once he feels secure, Northstar is sweet and loving and enjoys spending time with his person. He isn’t looking for a busy household filled with constant change. He’ll be happiest with someone who understands that trust doesn’t need to happen immediately and is willing to let him settle in at his own pace.
Northstar also recently experienced a change when a feline friend was adopted. We noticed that he seemed to miss his companion and went through a period when he just wasn’t quite himself. He’s beginning to adjust and come back out of his shell, reminding us again how much relationships and consistency matter to him.
We believe a quiet, predictable home could give Northstar an opportunity to truly thrive.
His adopter shouldn’t expect him to walk through the door and immediately make himself at home. He may need to watch for a while. He may need to learn the sounds and rhythms of his new environment. And he may need some reassurance that this new life isn’t going to disappear underneath him.
Give Northstar the time to discover that he’s safe, and you’ll get the chance to discover the sweet, loving boy who’s been there all along.

16. Nemo
Adult · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 49 mi from Jackson

Nemo is a sweet, quirky boy who knows what he likes: a comfortable place to nap, a person of his own, and—most importantly—an uninterrupted supply of running faucet water.
Before coming to Revelation Gardens, Nemo belonged to someone he loved deeply. When his owner passed away, Nemo lost his person and the life he knew. He was placed with a family member, but the arrangement didn’t work out, and eventually his owner’s wife contacted us. She drove Nemo all the way from Maryland to Revelation Gardens, where he could have the time and space he needed to grieve and adjust.
And grieve he did. Nemo missed his daddy terribly.
Read more about Nemo
When he first arrived, he kept his distance and wasn’t always receptive to affection. If someone crossed a boundary, Nemo had no trouble communicating his displeasure—occasionally with a well-placed slap.
Over time, we’ve watched him begin to come back to himself. He’s happier, more comfortable and increasingly affectionate, although he’s still a cat who appreciates having his boundaries respected.
Nemo is healthy, neutered and up to date on vaccinations. He would love a quieter home with someone who understands that trust may take a little time—and who would give him the chance to have
his own person again
.
A willingness to leave the faucet running now and then would probably earn you bonus points.
Could you be Nemo’s person this time around? Come spend some time with him and let him decide.

17. Monte
Adult · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 49 mi from Jackson

Monte came to Revelation Gardens as an adult after being found on his own. We don’t know much about his life before he arrived, but we’ve had the privilege of getting to know the boy he is today.
When Monte first came to us, he was an unneutered tom with a strong, dominant personality. After being neutered and settling into life at Revelation Gardens, that tough tom exterior softened and we discovered a very sweet boy underneath.
Read more about Monte
At one point, we took Monte to an off-site adoption center in hopes of helping him find a home. The experience was difficult for him. After several days, we brought him back to the sanctuary, and we’ve noticed that he’s been quieter and more reserved ever since.
So now we listen to what Monte has shown us.
He enjoys being petted and spending time with people he knows, but he needs time to become familiar with someone before he’s ready to let them in. He isn’t a cat who should be rushed into a new environment and expected to immediately show his true personality.
For Monte,
feeling safe comes first.
We believe he’d do best with a patient person and a peaceful, predictable home where he can settle in at his own pace. A home of his own could suit him beautifully, although a calm, compatible cat may also be a possibility.
Monte is healthy, neutered and up to date on vaccinations.
Monte may not show you everything he has to offer the first time you meet him. Give this quiet boy the time and safety he needs, though, and you’ll have the chance to know the sweet cat we’ve come to love.

Maya has always been a gentle, sweet girl who prefers life a little quieter. She’s timid in new situations and tends to hang in the background. In fact, Maya has had potential adopters over the years—she simply hasn’t been convinced that any of them were her people.
Maya is also exceptionally skilled at avoiding anything she has not personally agreed to. At this time, that includes being caught for her vaccinations. Any potential adopter would need to understand that handling and veterinary care may require additional patience, planning and creative problem-solving.

20. Milo
Adult · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 49 mi from Jackson

Max and Milo are brothers who have been together from the beginning—and that’s exactly how we want it to stay.
The boys were born outside and cared for until they came to Revelation Gardens. They grew up together here, and whether they’re playing, exploring, bird watching or curled up asleep with their heads resting against one another, these two genuinely enjoy sharing life side by side.
They are also two wonderfully sweet boys, although they approach people a little differently.
Read more about Milo
Max
is the more immediately outgoing of the pair. He’s affectionate, playful and loves being cuddled and petted. He’s also ridiculously soft. We realize softness isn’t technically a personality trait, but once you pet Max, you’ll understand why it deserves to be mentioned.
Milo
is the more cautious brother. New people and the activity of a group rescue environment can sometimes feel like a lot to him, so he may hang back while he decides whether everything is safe. Give him that time and you’ll discover a loving boy who enjoys being petted and cuddled just as much as his brother does.
And yes, Milo is ridiculously soft, too.
Together, Max and Milo have the best of both worlds. They play and explore together, keep each other company, and when it’s time to settle down, you’ll frequently find them curled up together for a nap. Their relationship provides a familiarity and security we don’t want either of them to lose.
Max and Milo are bonded and will be adopted together.
Their ideal person will understand that Max may be ready to make friends before Milo is—and won’t expect Milo to move any faster than he’s comfortable with. With a little patience, you’ll have two sweet, affectionate brothers ready to make themselves part of your life.
Max and Milo are healthy, neutered and up to date on vaccinations.
If you’re looking for a ready-made pair of best friends—one a little more outgoing, one a little more cautious, and both exceptionally soft—Max and Milo may be your boys.

Max
is the more immediately outgoing of the pair.

22. Roo
Adult · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 49 mi from Jackson

Little Snow came to Revelation Gardens as an abandoned, pregnant mama. Not long after arriving, she gave birth to her kittens in our care.
Two of those kittens were Roo and Limon—and these three girls have been together ever since.
Little Snow is an incredibly sweet and affectionate mama. Limon inherited that loving nature along with a little more confidence and is the most outgoing of the three. Roo is the shy girl of the family and tends to take a little more time to feel comfortable. She is especially attached to her mama and finds security in having Little Snow nearby.
Together, they make a wonderfully easygoing little family.
Read more about Roo
All three enjoy affection, being brushed and cuddled, and spending time together on their catio. They each have their own personality, but their relationships with one another are an important part of their lives.
Because of that, we’re looking for a home where they can stay together.
We know adopting three cats is a bigger commitment than adopting one. But for someone who has room in their home and heart for a trio, Little Snow, Roo and Limon come with something pretty special already built in:
companionship, familiarity and a family of their own.
They are healthy, spayed and up to date on vaccinations.
If you’ve ever thought about welcoming a ready-made family into your home, these three sweet girls may be exactly who you’ve been waiting for.

25. Keoto
Adult · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 49 mi from Jackson

Keoto came to Revelation Gardens after he and a feline friend were found living behind our little shop on Main Street.
He’s always been a somewhat reserved boy. Keoto isn’t a lap cat and doesn’t generally seek out physical affection, but over the years we’ve watched him become increasingly comfortable simply being present with his people.
His journey hasn’t always been easy.
Read more about Keoto
After Revelation Gardens moved to a new location, Keoto went through a period when he began urinating and defecating outside the litter box. We tried to understand what was causing it, but there was never an obvious answer. Eventually, just as unexpectedly as the behavior began, it stopped.
Later, we noticed Keoto’s tongue beginning to stick out and took him to our veterinarian. We discovered that he had significant dental disease and ultimately needed to have all of his teeth removed.
We don’t know whether the discomfort from his mouth contributed to the behavioral changes we’d seen earlier, but we do know something important:
Keoto seems to feel much better now.
He’s sweeter, more relaxed and comfortable being out where life is happening rather than hiding away. He continues to use his litter box appropriately and is doing very well without his teeth.
Keoto’s favorite place is the catio, where he spends much of his day enjoying the outdoors from the safety of an enclosed space. And if you really want to win him over, there’s one thing you should know:
Keoto loves his squeezable treats.
He gets half of one in the morning and the other half in the afternoon, and as far as Keoto is concerned, this may be the most important part of the daily schedule. He eats both wet and dry cat food despite having no teeth, although neither seems to inspire quite the enthusiasm of his beloved treat.
Keoto isn’t looking for someone who needs a cat constantly in their lap. He’d be happiest with a person who appreciates quieter companionship and is willing to let their relationship develop naturally.
A peaceful home, predictable routine and ideally a safe catio or other enclosed place where he can enjoy the sights and sounds of the outdoors would suit him beautifully.
Keoto is healthy, neutered and up to date on vaccinations.
He may never be the cat who demands your attention—but give Keoto a safe place, a sunny catio and his favorite treat, and he’ll be quite content to share his world with you.

Joseph is one of our beloved
“J Boys”
—three brothers who hold a particularly special place in the story of Revelation Gardens.
Joseph, Jack and Jasper came to us as tiny orphans and were among our very first rescues, back when Revelation Gardens was operating from a small shop in town. There were originally four kittens in the litter, and their sister went on to become our very first adoption. Joseph was originally named
Josephine
—until we discovered that she was actually a he. The name changed, but only slightly .
The three brothers stayed, and somewhere along the way Jack, Jasper and Joseph simply became affectionately known as the J Boys.
Read more about Joseph
Joseph is a wonderfully sweet, easygoing boy who loves people. He’s a definite lap kitty who enjoys being held, cuddled and spending time with his person. He also has a playful, curious side and enjoys exploring when he isn’t busy soaking up affection.
The J Boys have shown us just how deeply they can form relationships with people. For a long time, they had a special volunteer who came twice a week specifically to spend time with them. When health issues prevented her from continuing those visits, we could see that the boys missed her. We’ve been spending extra time with them as they adjust, but their response reminded us how much having a person of their own could mean to them.
Joseph has spent his entire life with his brothers and could certainly be adopted with Jack and/or Jasper. However, we don’t want their lifelong relationship to prevent any of the boys from finding a wonderful home of his own. We would consider individual or joint adoption depending on the home and what seems best for each of them.
For someone looking for a gentle, affectionate companion who already knows the joys of a good lap and a loving human, Joseph may be your boy.

What matters most is that Jasper finds someone who appreciates exactly what he has to offer: affection, companionship, plenty of conversation and, quite possibly, a permanent occupant for their lap.
Jasper was there near the beginning of Revelation Gardens. We’d love for the next chapter of his story to be a home—and a person—of his own.

Jack is an incredibly sweet, easygoing boy who loves attention. He’s a definite lap kitty who enjoys being cuddled and petted, and he’s quite happy to settle in for some quality time with his person.
There is just one thing you should know about Jack:
Jack decides when petting time is over.
If you happen to disagree and try to leave before he’s ready, Jack has been known to reach out with a paw—and sometimes a claw—to encourage you to reconsider your decision. It’s his not-so-subtle way of saying, “Wait. I wasn’t done with you yet.”
Jack and his brothers have shown us just how deeply they can form relationships with people. For a long time, they had a special volunteer who came twice a week specifically to spend time with them. 29. Noah
Adult · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 49 mi from Jackson

Grace and Noah came to Revelation Gardens as tiny kittens who were absolutely terrified of people.
Learning that humans could be safe took time.
Little by little, with patience and consistency, they began to trust. The frightened kittens who once wanted nothing to do with people grew into two incredibly sweet cats who discovered that affection could actually be pretty wonderful.
Read more about Noah
Grace and Noah were eventually adopted together as adults. Unfortunately, they later returned to Revelation Gardens after a serious incident involving the family’s pet bunny. Noah attacked the bunny and nearly killed them, making it clear that
Grace and Noah cannot be adopted into a home with bunnies.
Coming back meant another significant change for two cats who have always relied on familiarity and consistency to feel secure.
Fortunately, Grace and Noah already knew something important:
Revelation Gardens was safe.
Today, these two are loving, affectionate companions—but they still need a little time before showing that side of themselves to someone new. Sometimes “a little time” really does mean a few minutes. Other times, it may mean a day or longer. We let them decide.
Once Grace and Noah determine that you’re safe, the hesitation begins to disappear and their wonderfully loving personalities come through. They enjoy attention from their people, playing, exploring and spending time on their catio.
Grace and Noah are bonded, and after everything they’ve experienced together,
they will be adopted as a pair.
Their ideal person will understand that the cats they meet on day one may not be the cats they know a week later. Grace and Noah don’t need to be pushed through their uncertainty. They simply need someone patient enough to let trust develop on their timetable.
A home without bunnies is required.
Grace and Noah are healthy, spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.
Give these two the time they need to feel safe, and they’ll show you just how much love was waiting on the other side.

How to adopt from Revelation Gardens
Once you’ve found a rescue you’d like to welcome into your family, the first step is completing our adoption application. Our adoption process is designed to help create lasting matches. We’ll talk with you about the animal you’ve chosen and make sure their personality, needs, and energy level are a good fit for your home and lifestyle. We’ll also verify references and, in some circumstances—particularly with dog adoptions—may conduct a home visit. We aren’t looking for a perfect home. We’re looking for the right fit for both you and the animal. Our adoption fee is $125 and includes spay/neuter, current rabies vaccination, and flea/tick prevention (the fee for bonded pairs is $150 for both). Once your application is approved, we’ll schedule a time to complete the adoption paperwork and welcome your new family member home.
Adopting a cat in Jackson
Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the cat, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your cat in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.
Senior cats are often the calmest companions and the slowest to find homes. If you'd like a settled, affectionate cat, ask the rescues about their older residents.
Kittens go quickly, especially in spring and summer. If you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon, and think about adopting two: young cats keep each other company and out of mischief.
