6. Subie
Kitten (3 months 30 days) · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 42 mi from Oshkosh

This kitten has a heart of gold. He is so "polite" and such a sweet boy. Subie is kind, affectionate, and playful without being wild. He is friendly with other kittens and loves human attention. Subie seems like he will be a strong and steady cat when he grows up, a consistent and solid best friend to his family. He seems to adjust easily to new circumstances and people and because of his easy-going demeanor he will probably fit into most any family as long as this family includes another similar aged kitten. Our kittens always need the perfect partner to head home with (kittens must be adopted in pairs or have a SIMILAR AGED kitten already in the home) so please know this before you apply. Applications for single kittens will be denied. Subie deserves a family that will love and care for him and a partner kitten to help him continue to grow and develop into an amazing cat with good manners and a full heart. PLEASE take this into consideration before you apply and know that we work very hard to place our kittens in homes that set them up for the happiest, healthiest life possible. If you are interested in Subie please note that on your two-kitten application and we will discuss a good match based on your family, preferences, and our current availability. Subie is lucky to currently be in a foster home where he is getting extra care and attention. Make sure to note during your applicant interview that you are interested in Subie so that we have him available at the shelter for you to meet.

7. Rue
Kitten (6 months) · Female · Domestic Medium Hair (medium coat) · 42 mi from Oshkosh

This beautiful kitten was surrendered with Clyde. We are not sure if they are littermates or just two of the many cats this person was trying to assist and find placement for.
Read more about Rue
Rue is just a very gorgeous girl. She is a medium to long(ish) hair tabby with the softest eyes. Rue is still getting used to be cared for so is somewhat reserved at first but if you take it slow at first meet Rue warms up quickly. She loves to be pet and enjoys human attention. She may not be the first to approach you when you enter the room but once you spend time with her she may be the last to leave you. She is quiet and not demanding. Rue does like Clyde and we are going to assume by her demeanor that she will get along with other cats/kittens as well. Because of her age and need to build confidence we will require Rue to be adopted with another kitten similar in age, or for adopter to have a young similar aged kitten in their home who is looking for a new friend too.

9. Cyril
Kitten (4 months 10 days) · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 42 mi from Oshkosh

Check out Cyril! He is just EVERYTHING! All kitten! First, he is adorable. Like perfect. He is short and compact, and well he really is just a little guy but don't let that fool you. He is just a fireball. Cyril is full of energy and fun. He loves to play, with toys, with other kittens, with our volunteers. He jumps, he climbs, he gets into mischief, but then he comes back crawls into your lap and snuggles for it. Again, he is just the perfect balance of everything wonderful about kittens. He would happily pair with any of our current kittens as he loves everyone and generally they seem to love him right back! Consider adding Cyril to your family.

10. Allie
Kitten (4 months 29 days) · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 42 mi from Oshkosh

This little sweetheart was found all alone in an alley by one of our volunteers. He brought her in and although she was very scared she was also VERY sweet. She was fostered for a bit with another single kitten who was much smaller than her (but also much wilder!) and they made fast friends. They are both back at the shelter and in a room with another litter of five and are all doing amazing. Allie is a gorgeous tabby with black markings and silver tips on some of her fur. She has the little black hair ear tips so she really will be a very striking cats as she grows. Allie is a mellow kitten, she mostly wants to snuggle with the others, and certainly with people. She is a little nervous at first meet but as you start to pet her she will flop down and begin to roll to her back to show you her belly. AND boy does she have a motor, Allie has a strong purr that she loves to use. Again, Allie likes all of the other kittens in her room (and would probably also be happy with any of our other kittens in other rooms) she is a kind and gentle little girl kitten.

17. Sheldon
Kitten (5 months 18 days) · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 42 mi from Oshkosh

This kitten is a member of the Big Bang Theory Litter. They were brought to us with their Mama Penny and lucky enough to be able to spend the first weeks in one of our "favorite" foster homes. They have now returned to our main shelter healthy, happy, and playful kittens. This litter is just sweet as can be. Our Tortie mom gave us, three orange tabbies and two black kittens (one long haired) all are perfect, just a beautiful "blended" family. This litter was recently spay/neutered so they are now very excited to find their forever homes!

***Sheldon is an orange tabby male. He is playful with a touch of mischief, he is probably the "unspoken" leader of this litter. He always looks like he is smiling just a little...kind of like he thinks he is a "player".

18. Juniper
Kitten (6 months) · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 42 mi from Oshkosh

What do you say about kittens? Writing bios for kittens can be tough, cute and sweet seems to be a reoccurring statement. They are all cute and sweet, so it can be challenging to select your new family member/members. All you really need to do is spend one minute in our kitten room to fall in love with two (or all) of them.
Read more about Juniper
This kitten is part of the Tree Litter. These little babies were brought to us after their Mama was unfortunately hit by a car and they were found (the same day) living in a tree trunk. These were so small (eyes not open yet) they needed instant care and were rushed to one of our amazing fosters with experience in bottle feeding very young kittens. Clearly, she is very good at this because they are healthy, happy, and beautiful kittens now (almost) ready to find forever families.
Juniper is just the sweetest little kitten. She is the smallest of her litter but the loudest as she can be very vocal! She loves to be loved! She is a happy kitten that plays all day with her littermates but is also content to take a snuggle break and sit on your lap for however long you want to spend with this cutie. "Juni" is just pure love in a tiny package!

19. River
Kitten (5 months 10 days) · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 47 mi from Oshkosh

River is your typical, playful kitten. He would love to be adopted with his brother Joaquin as his two sisters already have a pending adoption with both going together.
We do require kittens to be adopted in pair unless there is already a kitten in the home or a playful cat under the age of 8. If a cat is older they can get very annoyed & stressed with kitten antics.

20. Joaquin
Kitten (5 months 10 days) · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 47 mi from Oshkosh

Joaquin is your typical playful kitten. Loves toys and affection.
We do require kittens to be adopted in pairs to prevent SINGLE KITTEN SYNDROME unless there already a kitten or playful cat in the home.
SYMPTOMS INCLUDE: Acting like a kittenzilla, destructiveness, crying/constant meowing, scratching, biting, aggression, lack of sleep, inappropriate elimination, keeping you up at night and more.
Kittens need interaction with other kittens for healthy social development. Isolating a kitten can delay development emotionally, socially, and sometimes physically. Kittens who are able to remain with one of their littermates (or a similarly aged companion) tend to be healthier, happier, and better socialized.

Adopting a kitten in Oshkosh
Kittens usually go to their new homes from about eight weeks old, once they're eating on their own and have had their first vaccinations. Most rescues spay or neuter them before adoption, or include it in the fee.
Think about adopting two. Kittens raised together play with each other instead of your ankles and furniture, and many rescues charge less for a pair.
Kittens need more of your time than grown cats: several small meals a day, plenty of play, and a home with cords and small objects tidied away.
