1. Kitten Calypso

Kitten (4 months 21 days) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Hi, my name is Calypso. I was four months old when I was rescued from an overcrowded shelter. Something was wrong with my eyes, they were tiny slits, and I could not see with them. It seems I was born that way, but the rest of me is fine. I had surgery to remove both my eyes, and now I am fully recovered and ready for my forever home. I may be a little timid when I first meet new people, but I like attention and pets. My lack of vision is not slowing me down one bit. I am a very active kitten, and I love to play and run around. I have no any trouble finding my food or my litter box. I just need a home where my things stay in the same place so I can find them. I have lots of love to give, and I hope to find a home soon.

2. Mitzi

Adult (1 year) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Hi, my name is Mitzi. I am a very friendly girl, so I think I had a home once. I wandered into a yard, and the lady thought her dogs might hurt me, so she brought me to SBACC. I am a very active cat who still has lots of kitten energy. I love to run around, explore, and play. I am also talkative and will let you know when I want something. In addition to being friendly, I am affectionate and enyoy being held and cuddled. Some people might say I am the purrfect cat, so I expect to find my forever home very, very soon. And, BTW, I am also pretty cute.

3. Taylor

Adult (1 year) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Hi, my name is Taylor. I was left behind when my person moved, and I spent weeks hanging out in a backyard. She noticed something strange on my nose and was not sure whether it was an injury or an infection, but she did not want it to get worse, so she brought me to SBACC. The vet checked me out and even did a skin biopsy, which showed no parasitic infections, but they said I probably had flea or other insect bites. It is taking me a little while to get used to life at SBACC, and I am just starting to emerge from the cubby that I have been hiding in. I am a really friendly cat, and I like people and pets. I am not looking my best right now because of my nose injury, but it is starting to get better, and I know I will be looking great pretty soon. I am hoping for a forever home before the holidays.

4. Bella

Adult (5 years 2 months) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Calico / Mixed (medium coat)

Hi, my name is Bella. I was rescued from an overcrowded shelter and brought to SBACC. It was obvious that I was very pregnant, and I delivered six kittens in my foster home the very next day. Sadly, one of them did not survive, but the other five have grown into happy, healthy kittens and will soon be ready for their forever homes. I took very good care of my kittens, but I am now done with motherhood and ready to be loved and pampered in my own home. My foster Mom says that I am the sweetest cat you will ever meet. I am very vocal and love to chat with my people, always letting you know when I want attention. More than anything, I love curling up in your lap and soaking up all the cuddles I can get. If you are looking for a loving companion who wants to be by your side, I am the perfect lap cat and will happily keep you company every chance I get.

5. Kitten Latte

Kitten (3 months 23 days) · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Hi, my name is Latte. I was eight weeks old when an SBACC volunteer rescued me from the wheel well of a car. After coming to SBACC I went to a foster home with another orphaned kitten. I am a shy but affectionate boy. I will hide when I’m feeling insecure. Once I warm up to my environment I become a sweet and affectionate kitty. I like to play and would love to cuddle up next to you and I purr when I am happy. I never scratch or bite and I am good with other cats and kids! I would do best in a quiet home and with someone with patience who will wait for me to come out of my shell and be the loving kitten that I am.

6. Lenore Dove

Adult (5 years) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Hi, my name is Lenore Dove, and I am a survivor. I had been abused, but luckily I was rescued and brought to SBACC. Someone who feeds feral cats found me. I had been dumped in a colony of ferals, and she knew I was in bad shape and did not belong there. I had a severely damaged eye that ruptured and had to be removed, and I had bruising on my abdomen and chest that looked like I had been kicked. I also had sores and scabs on my neck and head. I am a bit shy and timid, but I warm up quickly to quiet, gentle people. The people who care for me at SBACC say I am very sweet. I am hoping to find a home where I will be safe and loved forever and ever.

Adult (2 years 1 month) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Tuxedo / Mixed (short coat)

Hi, my name is Henna. I was rescued from an abandoned property along with my two kittens. They went to a foster home, but I stayed at SBACC. I was not in very good shape. I had a severely damaged eye that had to be removed, and I have a significant head tilt. Some specialists have checked it out, and they think it’s due to an ear infection and some inner ear issues. It might be with me forever. Despite this, I am a very friendly girl and a ball of energy. I am hoping for a forever home, and I would probably do best as an only cat.

Kitten (3 months 18 days) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Hi, my name is Elody. I was rescued from an overcrowded shelter when I was about 5-6 weeks old. I had a URI and an eye infection, and my URI turned out to be pneumonia. After lots of antibiotics, both are gone now. One eye is fine, but the other is cloudy and probably always will be. That does not slow me down, and I love to run around and play. I am shy with new people but will become a lovebug once I warm up. I liked the older cats in my foster home and would love a quiet home with another cat. Hi, my name is Popplio. My two sibs and I were rescued from an overcrowded shelter when we were six weeks old. We came to SBACC and then went to a foster home. I am the shyest of my sibs and slow to warm up to new people. However, once I know I can trust you, I will be by your side, purring. Loud noises and fast movements scare me, but I will come running to play with a wand toy. I love to chase and play with my brothers and with all kinds of toys. This is what my foster Mom says about me. “She makes the cutest little coos when she is happily playing, and she is a little character who knows what she loves and when she wants attention.

My foster Mom says I look just like the starry sky with my rich black fur flecked with sparkling silver stars. I love being carried around like a baby or riding on your shoulder, and I will always quietly come to you for love. I do not like competing for attention, but I would love to be the center of your world. I will wake you with kisses and pull you in for face nuzzles. I love chasing balls, wand toys, feathers, streamers, or even your sandals! I am a super-active cuddlebug and ready for my forever home. 11. Kitten Udon

Kitten (4 months) · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Hi, my name is Udon. I was rescued from an overcrowded shelter when I was three months old. One of my front paws was injured. X-rays did not show any breaks, and the vet said it might be nerve damage, so I went to a neurologist. He said it was definitely nerve damage and that maybe I had been hit by a car. He said there was no treatment for it, that physical therapy might or might not help, and that it is best that I not jump from high places or play too rough. I spent some time in a foster home, and I got around just fine; my paw hasn't slowed me down or stopped me from climbing and batting toys around.

My foster Mom says I am incredibly friendly, very playful, curious, and sweet. I love attention and will purr as soon as you pick me up. Zaid and I look alike, and we are a bit more outgoing than Zira and Zulu. However, we still need each other for comfort, so we really need to go home in pairs. You can see all four of us piled into one cubby in one of the pics.

33. Crosby

Adult (1 year 6 months) · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Hi, my name is Crosby. I had a home and was left behind when my person moved. I was rescued from the roof of a nearby home and brought to SBACC. I was full of fleas and very skinny, with some missing patches of fur and burns on my paw pads. Now that I am safe and getting lots of good food, I feel a lot better. I definitely need to gain a few pounds. Despite all this, I am a sweet, friendly boy who enjoys attention. I hope to find a home where I will be safe and loved forever.

34. Kitten Lemonhead

Kitten (3 months 27 days) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Hi, my name is Lemonhead. My two brothers and I were about 10 weeks old when we were rescued from the street. We all were dirty and matted, full of fleas, and had respiratory and eye infections. When we were checked out, we were also found to have intestinal parasites. We spent three weeks at SBACC getting healthy and then two weeks in a foster home, and are finally in tip-top shape and ready for our forever homes. I was the first of my siblings to break out of my shell and play with the wand toy. I am always the first to ask for pets, and I am a curious girl who loves to explore and play. My foster Mom says I am sweet and spunky and the fearless leader of my pack.

I enjoy being loved on but am also independent and happy to just be near you. I am now ready for my forever home, and according to my foster Mom, I am a purrfect, well-rounded kitten, and anyone who takes me home will be very lucky to have me.

35. Kitten Ulta

Kitten (2 months 15 days) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Hi, my name is Ulta. My four sisters and I were rescued from a garage when we were about eight weeks old. We came to SBACC, and then three of us went to one foster home and two of us went to another. I went with my sisters, Ureka and Utopia. I am the shy one in my family and still kinda nervous around people. I will need extra time to get used to new people and places. I am very playful and love playing with my sisters and with toys. I need a quiet forever home, preferably with one of my sisters or with another kitten or young cat to help me build up my confidence with people. Once comfortable, I will purr up a storm. I am with my sister, Eureka, in one pic and cuddled up and sleeping with both Utopia and Eureka, in another.

36. Kitten Khalessi

Kitten (3 months 1 day) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Hi, my name is Khaleesi. I was rescued from the street when I was about six weeks old. I was brought to SBACC, and the first thing noticed was that my hind legs were unstable. Nothing was abnormal in X-rays, so I was checked out by a neurologist who thought I might have a spinal injury, maybe a fracture that has healed and is causing some nerve compression. I walk kind of funny, and my hind legs will sometimes collapse under me, but that does not stop me from running around, climbing, and playing like any other kitten. I can even climb to the top of a tall cat tree. My foster home had two young children and a cat, and I played with all of them.

I love to play with balls and springs, and I played fetch with the kids. I also slept with them or with my foster Mom. I purr when you pet me and am a loving and affectionate kitten. I am hoping to find a forever home with another cat or kitten, and I would be fine with children too.

37. Ophelia

Adult (1 year 3 months) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Hi, my name is Ophelia, aka Mama Ophelia. I was rescued from a front porch and brought to SBACC. I then went to a foster home and delivered my five kittens just four days later. I am told that I was a fabulous mama to my kittens. I sometimes hid them away to protect them from visitors and would sometimes hide myself if I heard the mailman or gardener outside. I also ran and hid when we had a visitor with two small dogs. I slept with my foster Mom and especially enjoyed resting on a sofa while being petted and brushed. When I came back to SBACC, I was stressed and stayed in a cubby for about a week, but I have relaxed, come out, and am enjoying pets from the volunteers. The volunteer who took my pics says I am super sweet. I think I might enjoy being an only cat and getting lots of attention.

38. Kitten Waluigi

Kitten (3 months 10 days) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Hi, my name is Waluigi. My Mama was pregnant when she was rescued from an overcrowded shelter. She came to SBACC, went to a foster home, and delivered me and my four littermates the very next day. We got to grow up in a nice, safe, warm home with both our Mama and our Foster taking care of us. When my brother, Wacky, and I were about two months old, we went to a second foster home where we had several young grown-up cats to play with. My foster Mom says that I am very sweet. I am also very energetic, and all it takes is a short little cat nap to recharge my batteries and send me back into play mode.

I love any toy that I can get my paws on, and I will even play with a paper towel. I can get vocal when my brother is not in my line of sight or when I am curious about something. My foster Mom says I definitely need a buddy in my forever home because of my high energy level. I think I would do best with a sibling or another kitten or young cat. I am with my brother, Wacky, in one pic and with a grown-up calico cat who lived in my foster home in another.

39. Clem

Adult (2 years 1 month) · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Hi, my name is Clem. When I was rescued from an overcrowded shelter, I looked pretty awful, and it was thought that I had mange, but it turned out to be just a bad flea allergy. I am looking so much better now. I may be shy when I first meet you, but if you talk to me and pet me, I will soon warm up. I am looking for a home and a family that will love and take care of me forever, so no more worries or time on the street for me!

40. Kitten Vanity

Kitten (4 months 3 days) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Tortoiseshell / Mixed (short coat)

Hi, my name is Vanity. I was about six weeks old when I was rescued from an overcrowded shelter along with my Mama and five sisters. We all had mange, which was treated at SBACC, and thankfully, it is now all gone. I may be shy when I first meet you, but once I am comfortable, I come right out of my shell. I have lots of energy and like to play with my siblings. I also enjoy snuggles from my chosen people. I am with my sister, Vanna, in one pic. We really love each other and hope we can go home together. A home with another kitten or young cat would be OK too, but I would much rather stay with my sister, Vanna.
