Stray No More: 27 Cats and Kittens for Adoption
By Cats of the Day · Updated

Stray No More in Los Angeles, CA has 27 cats and kittens up for adoption. Here are all 27, each with photos, their story and how to get in touch.
Right now that's 15 kittens, 6 young cats and 5 adults.
1. Mallow Marsh
Kitten · Siamese / Mixed (medium coat)

Meet Mallow Marsh!
This dreamy little cloud is a medium-haired Siamese mix -- and undeniably adorable!
Found alone on the streets at far too young an age, Mallow Marsh is now safe and ready to trade life outdoors for a loving forever home.
Because Mallow Marsh is still a baby, adoption must be with another kitten or into a home that already has a friendly, playful young cat. Kittens need companionship as they grow—and this sweet little marshmallow deserves a best friend to cuddle and play with for life!

Meet Mary-Kate & Ashley
Mary-Kate and Ashley are beautiful young tabby twins who were rescued from a high-kill shelter with mere moments to spare. Their lives nearly ended before they had truly begun—but thankfully, they made it out just in time and are now ready to find the loving forever home they deserve.
These bonded sisters are gentle, affectionate, and wonderfully mellow. They enjoy playing and exploring together, but they aren’t wild or chaotic kittens. Their calm, easygoing personalities make them lovely companions, and they would do well in a peaceful home with adults or respectful children.

6. Carmen
Adult · Female · Domestic Medium Hair (medium coat)

Meet Carmen
Carmen first came to us after being abandoned in a duffel bag alongside two different litters of kittens. Still little more than a kitten herself, she raised every one of her babies with patience, devotion, and quiet strength. After giving so much of herself, it should finally be Carmen’s turn to be someone’s whole world.
Read more about Carmen
Sadly, Carmen has been returned to us again. She has now experienced the heartbreak of losing several homes—not because she isn’t loving, but because none of them proved to be the right lifelong fit. This time, we are determined to find someone who truly understands her and is committed to giving her the stability she deserves.
According to her original foster, Carmen is “one of the most loving and affectionate cats she has ever known.” When Carmen feels safe and has a space to call her own, her personality blossoms. She seeks out attention and happily soaks up pets, affection, and companionship. She may not enjoy being picked up, but once you understand and respect her preferences, her love is incredibly genuine and rewarding.
Carmen’s most recent adopter reported some incidents of biting sock-covered feet, as well as grabbing, biting, and wrestling with arms or legs when she became overstimulated. We believe these behaviors may have been related to overzealous play, overstimulation, or redirected energy or aggression—not a lack of affection or an inherently aggressive temperament. They do not erase the deeply loving cat her fosters and volunteers know her to be, but they do mean Carmen needs a calm, patient, cat-savvy person who can recognize her signals, redirect her energy appropriately, respect her boundaries, and give her space when she needs it.
While other cats are not Carmen’s favorite thing, she has peacefully coexisted with cats at the adoption center. We believe she would be happiest as the only cat in her home, where she can relax and enjoy having her person and her space to herself. However, a home with another calm, respectful cat may be considered if the environment and personalities are truly the right fit.
She has also lived peacefully with a calm senior dog who largely ignored her, so she may do well with a similarly quiet, respectful dog who won’t pressure her to interact.
Carmen may not be the right cat for every household—but for the right person, she could be everything. She loves deeply, in her own language and on her own terms, and there is something incredibly special about earning the trust of a cat like her.
After surviving abandonment, raising two litters, and repeatedly losing the homes she thought were forever, Carmen deserves stability. She deserves to be chosen with intention, understood for exactly who she is, and loved for the rest of her life.
She deserves to finally come home.

7. Cal
Young · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

Calypso “Cal”
Meet Cal — a sweet orange tabby with the gentlest soul and, somehow, the patience of a saint.
Cal has been returned twice, alongside his sister, and not because of anything either of them did wrong. His first adoption ended after a major health scare made it clear that his adopter simply wasn’t able to provide the care they needed. His second adopter promised it would be forever — but apparently a new job and a new boyfriend were enough to change those plans. And once again, Cal and his sister were the ones left packing their bags.
Read more about Cal
They deserve so much better. They deserve a home where they are cherished, celebrated, and loved for the incredible cats they are — not treated as disposable when life changes.
Cal is an absolute sweetheart. He’s affectionate, intelligent, gentle, and wonderfully even-tempered. And despite being an orange boy, he manages to keep his orange-boy antics to a minimum. He’s easygoing, social, and just an all-around fantastic guy.
This little lad came from a LARGE brood, born to an amazing mama named Meadow, who did an incredible job raising her babies to be the very best kittens around. Cal loves to play with everyone and is happiest when he gets to be part of the action. He’s the kind of cat who makes life better simply by being in it.
After everything he’s been through, Cal is still sweet. Still trusting. Still ready to love.
Now he just needs someone who will finally make good on the word forever. ❤️
Cal is looking for a loving, committed forever home — one that will stick with him through life’s changes and celebrate him for the wonderful cat he is.
Name: Calypso “Cal”
Personality: Gentle, affectionate, intelligent, playful & easygoing
Looking for: A true forever home
Because Cal shouldn’t have to wonder if he’s finally home. He should know.

8. Sammy
Kitten · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

Meet Sammy – The Big Brother
Sammy is proof that second chances can change everything.
He was rescued from a high-intake shelter just moments before he was scheduled to be euthanized. A tiny bottle baby without his mom, his future looked uncertain—but thanks to a dedicated foster family, he was given the chance to grow up safe, loved, and cherished.
As Sammy grew, he found himself taking on a new role: big brother. When another litter of orphaned bottle babies needed a family, Sammy welcomed them with open paws, growing up alongside them and showing them the ropes. He's been the patient, playful older sibling to this lively crew ever since.

14. Taro
Adult · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

Meet Taro
Taro is a survivor in every sense of the word.
This handsome tabby was living in a homeless encampment, where he endured abuse and neglect that left him with more than a few battle scars. Today, he's safe, loved, and finally getting the chance to experience the life every cat deserves.
Taro is still healing from injuries sustained before his rescue, including an old eye injury, a tail injury, a broken tooth, and a neck wound. A post-operative complication left him with some nerve damage, but we're hopeful that, with time, healing, and continued care, he'll continue to improve.
Read more about Taro
Despite everything he's been through, Taro has never lost his spark.
He's incredibly affectionate with the people he trusts, absolutely loves to play, and has a goofy, engaging personality that shines once he feels safe. Watching him chase a toy or lean into pets is a beautiful reminder that resilience is real.
Like many cats who have had to survive on their own, Taro communicates clearly. He has strong boundaries and appreciates people who listen when he tells them he's had enough. He isn't unpredictable—he simply expects to be understood. Someone willing to learn his language will discover a deeply loving, loyal companion.
Taro isn't looking for perfection. He's looking for patience, compassion, and someone who sees beyond his scars to the extraordinary cat underneath.
The best things in life are worth earning, and Taro is one of them.
Taro's Ideal Home
A patient adopter who understands cat body language
Adults or older, respectful children
Someone who will continue to celebrate his healing journey
A family looking for a genuine bond with a cat who has overcome incredible odds
Taro has survived more than any cat ever should. Now all he needs is a home where he can spend the rest of his life knowing he is safe, cherished, and exactly as worthy of love as he's always been.

15. Nori
Kitten · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

Meet Nori!
Nori's story is nothing short of a miracle.
This tiny black kitten was spotted darting through traffic on the 110 Freeway, where every passing second could have been his last. Somehow, someone saw him, stopped, and managed to get him to safety before tragedy struck.
His rescuer wasn't sure what to do next, so he brought Nori to work, where his incredibly compassionate coworkers welcomed the tiny stowaway. They gave him a quiet office to rest in until Stray No More could step in, and that's where he's still being lovingly fostered while he completes his quarantine before being neutered and ready for adoption.

Sadly, not all of her kittens survived, but thanks to her devotion and lots of medical care, two precious little ones made it through.

19. Digit
Adult · Female · Calico (short coat)

Meet Digit (formerly Thumbelina).
Digit was adopted back in 2022 and is unfortunately being returned and is now looking for a new home.
After a recent move and changes in the household, including the addition of a baby, Digit began having urination issues. Specifically urinating around/on the baby’s stuff. She has been examined by a veterinarian, is up to date on her vaccines, and has been tested negative for UTIs. Her vet believes this is behavioral and likely related to the stress of the move and changes in her environment.
Digit is a beautiful polydactyl cat. She will be 5 years old in September and is fully vetted.
Read more about Digit
Digit does well with their small children; however, it might be best for her next home to be with only older children or a quiet home . Digit also gets along well with other cats. She is now looking for a loving forever home or a foster home where she can have a fresh start.
Please help by sharing this post to help us find Digit the home she deserves.

20. Portia
Young · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

Portia
Meet Portia — a gorgeous calico girl with just the right amount of sass and a whole lot of sweetness.
Like her brother Cal, Portia has been returned twice, and not because of anything she did wrong. She and her brother have simply had an incredibly unfair run of bad luck with people who weren’t able to make the lifetime commitment they deserved.
Read more about Portia
Her first adoption ended after a major health scare with Cal made it clear that her adopter wasn’t able to provide the care they needed. The second adopter promised it would be forever — but a new job and a new boyfriend apparently changed the equation. And once again, Portia and her brother were the ones left behind.
None of this is their fault. They deserve a family who understands that adopting a cat means committing to them through all of life’s changes — not just when it’s convenient.
Portia is a calico through and through: she’s got opinions, she’s got personality, and she’s absolutely not afraid to let you know what she thinks. But underneath that sassy little exterior is an incredibly sweet, affectionate girl who loves her people and has so much love to give.
She came from a LARGE brood, raised by an amazing mama named Meadow, who took such good care of her babies and raised them to be the very best kittens around. Portia loves to play, enjoys being part of the action, and is an all-around fun, loving companion.
She’s sassy but SWEET, playful but affectionate, and full of personality — exactly what you want in a calico girl. ❤️
After being let down twice, Portia deserves a home that will finally show her what forever actually means.
A home where her sass is celebrated. Her sweetness is cherished. And her place in the family is never in question.
Portia is ready for her forever. And this time, we want it to really be forever. ❤️

23. Charlie
Adult · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

Meet Charlie
Some cats wait to be rescued.
Charlie had other ideas.
One evening, this beautiful brown tabby appeared outside one of our foster's windows, looked inside... and essentially announced that she'd be moving in. She came back day after day, patiently waiting to be invited inside, as if she'd already made up her mind that this was where she belonged.
We were certain someone had to be missing her. We searched, posted her everywhere, checked for a microchip—but no one came forward. She wasn't microchipped, wasn't spayed, and no one claimed this remarkable little girl.
Their loss is someone else's incredible gain.

Charlie is everything her name suggests: confident, independent, charming, and effortlessly cool. She has a way of making herself at home wherever she goes and wins people over without even trying. She's affectionate without being needy, playful without being wild, and has the kind of easygoing personality that makes everyone fall in love.
Charlie didn't wait for life to happen to her—she went out and found the home she wanted. Now she's looking for the forever family she deserves.

25. Sharky
Kitten · Male · Russian Blue / Mixed (short coat)

Meet Sharky & Chili (current names under foster care - subject to change)
These cute boys were just
2 weeks old
when they were dumped at a shelter. At that age, kittens require around-the-clock bottle feeding, and because the shelter didn’t have the resources to provide that level of care, they were automatically placed on the euthanasia list that very day.
Thankfully, they were rescued just in time and welcomed into the loving hands of an incredible bottle-feeding foster. From fragile babies fighting for a chance at life, they’ve grown into healthy, happy little adventurers.

Today, Sharky and Chili are everything you could want in kittens:
curious, playful, fearless, and full of personality.
They spend their days chasing toys, wrestling with each other, and exploring every corner they can find. But once they’re done causing adorable chaos, they’re more than happy to curl up in your lap for a nap and remind you just how sweet they are.
Having been raised by humans since they were tiny, they are affectionate, social, and thrive on companionship. They share a special bond and would love to continue their adventures together.

She was discovered trapped inside a grate, where she and her siblings had been stuck for at least two days while their mama desperately meowed nearby for help. By the time a kind Good Samaritan rescued her in the middle of the night, her mom and siblings had disappeared, leaving little Dory alone in a box.
Thankfully, Dory’s luck changed when one of our incredible fosters stepped in and bottle-fed her, giving her all the love and care she needed to thrive. Today, she’s a healthy, happy, and absolutely fearless little girl.

Dory is sweet, affectionate, and full of nonstop kitten antics. She loves to play, explore, climb, and then curl up for cuddles when she’s finally worn herself out. She’s wonderful with kids, gets along great with other cats, and would likely do well with cat-friendly dogs.
Because she’s still a baby with endless energy, Dory
must
go to a home with another young, playful kitten or be adopted with a feline friend. She’s looking for a partner in crime who can keep up with her zoomies and help her grow into a confident adult cat.
After surviving such a difficult start, Dory deserves a lifetime of love, laughter, and adventure.

Kitten · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

Tilli is a sweet 10–12 week old kitten with a big heart and an even bigger story.
This little girl was discovered crying from inside an outdoor HVAC unit, all alone and desperately asking for help. Thankfully, a kind neighbor came to her rescue, and since then Tilli has shown everyone just how loving and resilient she is.
Tilli is affectionate, playful, and full of kitten charm. She loves attention, enjoys being around people, and is quickly learning that the world can be a safe and happy place. Whether she’s chasing toys, exploring her surroundings, or curling up for a nap, she brings joy wherever she goes.
Read more about Tilli
Tilli did receive a positive FIV test as a very young kitten, but kittens tested at this age can sometimes carry maternal antibodies that result in false positives. Because of this, her status remains uncertain until she can be retested when she’s older.
For now, Tilli is simply looking for what every kitten deserves: a loving family to call her own.
