Meet Mallow Marsh!
This dreamy little cloud is a medium-haired Siamese mix -- and undeniably adorable!
Found alone on the streets at far too young an age, Mallow Marsh is now safe and ready to trade life outdoors for a loving forever home.

8. Carmen
Adult · Female · Domestic Medium Hair (medium coat) · 8 mi from Marina del Rey

Meet Carmen
Carmen first came to us after being abandoned in a duffel bag alongside two different litters of kittens. Still little more than a kitten herself, she raised every one of her babies with patience, devotion, and quiet strength. After giving so much of herself, it should finally be Carmen’s turn to be someone’s whole world.
Read more about Carmen
Sadly, Carmen has been returned to us again. She has now experienced the heartbreak of losing several homes—not because she isn’t loving, but because none of them proved to be the right lifelong fit. This time, we are determined to find someone who truly understands her and is committed to giving her the stability she deserves.
According to her original foster, Carmen is “one of the most loving and affectionate cats she has ever known.” When Carmen feels safe and has a space to call her own, her personality blossoms. She seeks out attention and happily soaks up pets, affection, and companionship. She may not enjoy being picked up, but once you understand and respect her preferences, her love is incredibly genuine and rewarding.
Carmen’s most recent adopter reported some incidents of biting sock-covered feet, as well as grabbing, biting, and wrestling with arms or legs when she became overstimulated. We believe these behaviors may have been related to overzealous play, overstimulation, or redirected energy or aggression—not a lack of affection or an inherently aggressive temperament. They do not erase the deeply loving cat her fosters and volunteers know her to be, but they do mean Carmen needs a calm, patient, cat-savvy person who can recognize her signals, redirect her energy appropriately, respect her boundaries, and give her space when she needs it.
While other cats are not Carmen’s favorite thing, she has peacefully coexisted with cats at the adoption center. We believe she would be happiest as the only cat in her home, where she can relax and enjoy having her person and her space to herself. However, a home with another calm, respectful cat may be considered if the environment and personalities are truly the right fit.
She has also lived peacefully with a calm senior dog who largely ignored her, so she may do well with a similarly quiet, respectful dog who won’t pressure her to interact.
Carmen may not be the right cat for every household—but for the right person, she could be everything. She loves deeply, in her own language and on her own terms, and there is something incredibly special about earning the trust of a cat like her.
After surviving abandonment, raising two litters, and repeatedly losing the homes she thought were forever, Carmen deserves stability. She deserves to be chosen with intention, understood for exactly who she is, and loved for the rest of her life.
She deserves to finally come home.

9. Cal
Young · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 8 mi from Marina del Rey

Calypso “Cal”
Meet Cal — a sweet orange tabby with the gentlest soul and, somehow, the patience of a saint.
Cal has been returned twice, alongside his sister, and not because of anything either of them did wrong. His first adoption ended after a major health scare made it clear that his adopter simply wasn’t able to provide the care they needed. His second adopter promised it would be forever — but apparently a new job and a new boyfriend were enough to change those plans. And once again, Cal and his sister were the ones left packing their bags.
Read more about Cal
They deserve so much better. They deserve a home where they are cherished, celebrated, and loved for the incredible cats they are — not treated as disposable when life changes.
Cal is an absolute sweetheart. He’s affectionate, intelligent, gentle, and wonderfully even-tempered. And despite being an orange boy, he manages to keep his orange-boy antics to a minimum. He’s easygoing, social, and just an all-around fantastic guy.
This little lad came from a LARGE brood, born to an amazing mama named Meadow, who did an incredible job raising her babies to be the very best kittens around. Cal loves to play with everyone and is happiest when he gets to be part of the action. He’s the kind of cat who makes life better simply by being in it.
After everything he’s been through, Cal is still sweet. Still trusting. Still ready to love.
Now he just needs someone who will finally make good on the word forever. ❤️
Cal is looking for a loving, committed forever home — one that will stick with him through life’s changes and celebrate him for the wonderful cat he is.
Name: Calypso “Cal”
Personality: Gentle, affectionate, intelligent, playful & easygoing
Looking for: A true forever home
Because Cal shouldn’t have to wonder if he’s finally home. He should know.

Meet Sammy – The Big Brother
Sammy is proof that second chances can change everything.
He was rescued from a high-intake shelter just moments before he was scheduled to be euthanized. A tiny bottle baby without his mom, his future looked uncertain—but thanks to a dedicated foster family, he was given the chance to grow up safe, loved, and cherished.

16. Taro
Adult · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 8 mi from Marina del Rey

Meet Taro
Taro is a survivor in every sense of the word.
This handsome tabby was living in a homeless encampment, where he endured abuse and neglect that left him with more than a few battle scars. Today, he's safe, loved, and finally getting the chance to experience the life every cat deserves.
Taro is still healing from injuries sustained before his rescue, including an old eye injury, a tail injury, a broken tooth, and a neck wound. A post-operative complication left him with some nerve damage, but we're hopeful that, with time, healing, and continued care, he'll continue to improve.
Read more about Taro
Despite everything he's been through, Taro has never lost his spark.
He's incredibly affectionate with the people he trusts, absolutely loves to play, and has a goofy, engaging personality that shines once he feels safe. Watching him chase a toy or lean into pets is a beautiful reminder that resilience is real.
Like many cats who have had to survive on their own, Taro communicates clearly. He has strong boundaries and appreciates people who listen when he tells them he's had enough. He isn't unpredictable—he simply expects to be understood. Someone willing to learn his language will discover a deeply loving, loyal companion.
Taro isn't looking for perfection. He's looking for patience, compassion, and someone who sees beyond his scars to the extraordinary cat underneath.
The best things in life are worth earning, and Taro is one of them.
Taro's Ideal Home
A patient adopter who understands cat body language
Adults or older, respectful children
Someone who will continue to celebrate his healing journey
A family looking for a genuine bond with a cat who has overcome incredible odds
Taro has survived more than any cat ever should. Now all he needs is a home where he can spend the rest of his life knowing he is safe, cherished, and exactly as worthy of love as he's always been.

Meet Nori!
Nori's story is nothing short of a miracle.
This tiny black kitten was spotted darting through traffic on the 110 Freeway, where every passing second could have been his last. Somehow, someone saw him, stopped, and managed to get him to safety before tragedy struck.
His rescuer wasn't sure what to do next, so he brought Nori to work, where his incredibly compassionate coworkers welcomed the tiny stowaway. They gave him a quiet office to rest in until Stray No More could step in, and that's where he's still being lovingly fostered while he completes his quarantine before being neutered and ready for adoption.

Adopting a cat in Marina del Rey
Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the cat, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your cat in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.
Senior cats are often the calmest companions and the slowest to find homes. If you'd like a settled, affectionate cat, ask the rescues about their older residents.
Kittens go quickly, especially in spring and summer. If you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon, and think about adopting two: young cats keep each other company and out of mischief.
