Eclipse
Kitten · Female · Domestic Short Hair

Eclipse and Midnight are a 5-month-old bonded sister/brother pair. We will only adopt them out together. These two beautiful black kittens where brought to the shelter by a Good Samaritan when their mother was killed by the side of the road, leaving the kittens behind. Their foster mom described them: "Eclipse and Midnight both like to climb, the higher the better. They are big helpers; they help me make the bed, fold the laundry, work on the computer. In the evening, when it's time to feed them, I call, 'Where are my babies?', and they come running for their food and stand on their back legs.
Whatever room I'm in the house, they're right there with me.Midnight is a caretaker cat; my friend was in the hospital and was still very weak when he came home . He spent a lot of time on the couch with Midnight right beside him, often for hours. They are both very entertaining kittens. They are easy going cats and are a delight to have around." Since the kittens have been at the shelter we have found them to be curious, playful and just wonderful companions. As part of our regular intake routine, both kittens received medical assessments by our clinic veterinarian when they first came to the shelter. At that time, it was discovered that Midnight, the male kitten, has a congenital heart disease that unfortunately is not treatable. As a result, Midnight may have a shortened life span. It is hard to predict his life expectancy, but currently he is doing great, his energy is good, he is gaining weight and he has no idea he is sick, playing and running around as happily as his sister Eclipse. Our veterinarian shares that play and exercise are good for Midnight as he should maintain a healthy weight, and that he should be seen by a vet twice a year for monitoring. And the more love he receives the better! As a result of these unique circumstances, this bonded brother/sister pair are looking for a special adopter with a big heart, who will give them a loving home together and love them just as they are. You can visit these cats at Kingdom Animal Shelter during open hours on Saturdays from noon to 3pm. Please note that Kingdom Animal Shelter is not a "same day" adoption shelter.
