1. Mr. Cheeks
Adult · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Tabby (short coat)

No one knows how Mr. Cheeks ended up living outside, but one thing is certain: he is grateful to be safe and warm indoors again.
Mr. Cheeks was clearly once a beloved pet and has quickly readjusted to the comforts of home - regular meals, cozy places to relax, and plenty of affection. Gentle, easygoing, and well-mannered, Mr. C is a delightful companion who appreciates the quieter side of life. He is happiest relaxing near his people, curling up on a lap when invited, enjoys all conversations, and receiving his absolute favorite treat: belly rubs.
He enjoys watching birds and squirrels through the window, but he has no interest in joining them outside. For other entertainment he likes ping pong balls, stuffed mice and wand toys. Mr. Cheeks has impeccable house manners. He doesn't scratch furniture, climb on countertops, or show much interest in cat trees, but show him a warm, soft blanket and he's a purring biscuit maker. If you're looking for a calm, affectionate companion who appreciates your attention and the comforts of home, Mr. Cheeks may be your perfect match.
Mr. Cheeks is estimated at 3-5 years old, and he's neutered, vaccinated, and tested negative for FIV/FELV.

Meow there! My name is Ulan, and I'm a handsome little orange gentleman born on 4 June 2026! I may have had a rough start in life, but that hasn't stopped me from having the biggest heart and the sweetest personality. I've been through quite a bit for such a little guy, including receiving treatment for an eye injury. Thankfully, my eye has healed and doesn't cause me any pain or irritation. Now, I'm ready to put those difficult days behind me and find the loving forever home I deserve! I'm the purrfect mix of playful and cuddly! I love being showered with pets, curling up in a warm lap, and spending quality time with my favorite humans.

Whether we're playing together or enjoying a cozy afternoon snuggle, I'm happiest when I'm surrounded by love. And despite what you may have heard about orange cats, I promise I'm not all mischief and chaos! I'm actually a sweet, gentle little soul who just wants to feel safe, loved, and cherished. I've already overcome so much in my short life, and now I'm ready for my next chapter, one filled with cozy naps, endless cuddles, yummy treats, and a family to call my very own.
3. Vroom Kaboom
Kitten · Male · Domestic Short Hair

Hi, I'm Vroom Kaboom! With a name like mine, you might expect me to come racing into the room at full speed with a little kaboom of chaos behind me... but I'm actually a very sweet, gentle guy who just needed a little time to learn that people can be pretty wonderful. I am a short haired grey tabby and white male born approximately 5/02/2026. I came to Wild Blue Cats with my siblings, but I was a little more fearful than the others at first, so I spent some extra time building my confidence and learning to trust. I may give a soft hiss when I'm unsure, but once I realize you're a friend, my sweet side comes right out! I've discovered that I really enjoy pets, scratches, belly rubs, and plenty of attention.

I've even been known to lick hands once I'm feeling comfortable. Churu treats are definitely one of the fastest ways to my heart, and as my confidence has grown, I've started showing off my playful side too! I especially enjoy wand and laser toys, and I've come a long way from the shy kitty I was when I first arrived.
I think I'd do well in a family with respectful teenagers, another feline friend, or even a calm doggie buddy, as long as you follow Wild Blue's introduction procedures. I'm looking for a patient, loving family who will give me some time to settle in and continue helping my confidence grow. Once my engine gets warmed up, there's a whole lot of sweetness, purrs, love, and playfulness under the hood. Give me a chance, and Vroom Kaboom might just zoom straight into your heart! If you would like to meet me, please fill out an adoption application at www.wbcats.org/adopt. I'll be waiting with a happy heart and a loud purr!

5. Atomic Kitten
Adult · Female · Domestic Medium Hair / Russian Blue (medium coat)

Atomic Kitten is a sweet, playful girl with a serious love of freeze-dried treats and chin scratches. She runs, plays, and explores just like any other cat, then happily settles in for affection from her favorite person. She is a bit of an introvert and can be a little timid when adjusting to new people or situations. Atomic Kitten may not make the first move right away, so she would do best with someone who is comfortable initiating interaction and giving her the time she needs to feel safe. Once she chooses you as her person, her loving, affectionate side begins to shine.Atomic Kitten does well with other cats, but she is more interested in her people and does not require a feline companion in her future home. She could be happy with friendly cats or as the only kitty soaking up all the attention for herself.Atomic Kitten is also an FIP survivor. Her illness affected her muscle control, leaving her with some incontinence as a lasting effect. She has some bladder and bowel control, but frequent “sprinkles” and the occasional surprise poo make diapers the easiest way to keep her clean and comfortable. Her routine is much simpler than it may sound. She typically needs two or three diaper changes each day and a quick five-minute butt bath most days. Regular hygiene shaves also help make caring for her easier. Once you get the hang of it, her routine quickly becomes just another normal part of the day.Atomic Kitten doesn’t know she is a special-needs cat. She knows she is a snack connoisseur, professional toy chaser, and devoted companion who happens to wear diapers. She has already overcome the hardest part of her story. Now she is looking for a patient person willing to make the first move and give this extraordinary girl the safe, loving forever she deserves. She is currently being fostered in Lakewood, CO and approved applicants can meet her in home or if preferred her foster parent is happy to coordinate visits at Elevated Communities Cat Cafe if scheduled in advance. Please Note: Elevated Communities Cat Café is located in Longmont, Colorado. There is a $12 entry fee to visit the café, which helps support the care of the resident cats and the mission of Elevated Communities. Walk-ins are typically welcome or you can visit https://elevatedcommunitiescatcafe.org/visit to schedule your visit ahead of time.

6. Uoda
Kitten · Female · Domestic Short Hair

Meow there! My name is Uoda, and I'm a beautiful brown tabby girl born on July 2, 2026. I may be little, but I've got a BIG personality, adorable stripes, and just the right amount of mischief! My story didn't start out as happily as every kitten deserves. I was born into a world where space and resources were limited, making it hard for me to grow up healthy and strong. But thanks to rescue, I got a second chance to heal, blossom, and become the fabulous little striped menace to society I was always meant to be! These days, I'm busy perfecting the art of kittenhood! My favorite activities include lounging in squishy beds, chasing wand toys until my human's arm begs for a break, and batting around those wonderful jingly, rolly toys.
Read more about Uoda
I have two speeds: zoomies at full throttle and professional-level napping! I'll race, bounce, pounce, and play my little heart out before curling up for a well-earned snooze. My dream home will have loving humans and furry companions to share my adventures with. After all, a girl needs friends to help her stir up a little harmless trouble! I haven't met any dogs while in foster care, so any canine introductions will need to be slow and follow the Wild Blue Cats guidelines.
7. Francine Delacroix
Adult · Female · Domestic Medium Hair

Hi, I'm Francine Delacroix! I'm a sweet, medium haired brown tabby female born approximately 2/02/2025 and I am a chatty little lady with a whole lot of love to give. I absolutely adore attention, chin scritches, cuddles, being held, and spending time with my people. I have a very unique little meow, and when I want something, you can bet I'll tell you all about it! Before coming to Wild Blue Cats, I was an indoor/outdoor farm girl and a dedicated mama to my kittens. Now that my mama days are behind me, I'm ready to be the one getting spoiled!
I'd love a home where I have room to explore, and an outdoor catio or other secure enclosure would be especially wonderful for a girl like me.
Read more about Francine Delacroix
I'm a total sweetheart, but I do like affection on my own terms. I may not immediately climb into your lap on day one, but give me a little time and I can absolutely ease into becoming a lap girl. I've been known to happily snuggle against your chest, hang out over your shoulder, and soak up all the love. I also enjoy scratching posts, Icelandic sprat treats, and I'm just beginning to discover how fun toys can be; kick sticks seem pretty interesting!
Please note: my tummy needs a little extra care, so I'm on a special diet to keep me feeling my best. I cannot have any chicken ingredient or Churu treats, and I eat specific wet and dry foods that agree with my sensitive tummy. I also get probiotics mixed into my wet food twice a day. It's a simple routine that helps keep me happy and comfortable. Traveling isn't exactly my favorite hobby, either. I sometimes wear a diaper in my carrier just in case, and I seem much happier in a carrier that lets me stand up, look around, and get reassuring pets while still staying safely contained.
I think I'd do well in a family with respectful teenagers, another feline friend, or even a doggie buddy, as long as you follow Wild Blue's introduction procedures. I'm a bundle of love who simply wants a family of my own, plenty of attention, some adventures to explore, and a whole lot of chin scritches. If you're looking for a loving, talkative, affectionate girl with plenty of personality, I might just be your lady! If so, please fill out an adoption application at www.wbcats.org/adopt. I'll be waiting with a happy heart and a loud purr!

9. Holstein
Young · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

My Name is Holstien. It's an ironic name based on my coloring because I was the runt. When my family was found I was 1.5 weeks old and only about 60% as big as my siblings. Now i'm not the littlest but I am the bravest. I love eating and am a little round. My beautiful belly has a heart shaped mark on it. I sure do love people too. If you hold me I'll be so happy and if you play with me I'll be even happier. I'm a well balanced kitty, just the right amount of confidence and curiosity to be your forever friend.
I'm 9 weeks old, spayed and chipped.

10. Yang
Young · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

Hi name is Yang, I am so cuddly, playful too. If you hold me I'll just melt and relax into you. Napping together is great in between play sessions. My family was found abandoned when I was just 1.5 weeks old. My poor mom was starving. I've had the benefit of being raised by people and my loving mom. She loves people, so I do too. I think I'm pretty mellow. Sometimes I just watch my crazy siblings then I'll but it's ok to be pretty calm too. Some people think my ears are too big for army head. I look a little unique.
I'm 9 weeks old, spayed and chipped. My black and white coat is short and tidy. I have an old soul for a new kitty.

Young · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

My Name is Yin. I am so brave and playful. My mom was abandoned and took care of us alone until we all got fostered when I was 1.5 weeks. I'm the adventurer in the group so that means I love to play in new spaces like boxes, under sheets or anywhere adventure takes me. When I'm not playing or being curious I'll come sleep on your lap or sit on your shoulder like a parrot. I am just so much fun.
Please consider adopting me. I'm black and white and my short fur keeps things easy peasy. I'm 9 weeks old, chipped and spayed.

13. Celery + Onion
Adult · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

Celery & Onion: Night Owls Seeking Their Kind of HumanWe are Celery and Onion, a bonded pair of clever, quirky cats who do things on our own schedule. We aren't your typical outgoing cats who will immediately greet you at the door, climb into your lap, or make themselves at home in a big, unfamiliar space. We need patience, understanding, and a human who knows that trust is earned rather than demanded. Our favorite time of day? Dusk, of course! That's when our whiskers twitch, our eyes brighten, and we begin our nightly adventures. We're true night owls, and we'd probably be happiest with someone who enjoys staying up late, appreciates a quiet household, and doesn't expect us to operate on a nine-to-five schedule. We're smart cats who have even learned to get used to the Roomba.
Read more about Celery + Onion
We're also very treat-motivated, so the way to our hearts may involve a little patience, a few snacks, and a willingness to let us decide when we're ready.Celery's Side of the Story:"Hello, I'm Celery! I'm the more sociable one of this duo, and when evening rolls around, I may wander around meowing to let you know that fresh wet food would be very much appreciated. I also enjoy pets, snuggles, ear scratches, and butt pets — but please remember that I'm the one in charge of when and how these things happen! When I'm feeling comfortable, I'll rub against you and your furniture to spread a little love (and probably some fur). I enjoy affection, but I need it to be on my terms. Let me approach you, listen to my signals, and respect it when I've had enough. If you can do that, we might just become good friends. I may need time to settle in and feel safe before showing you my affectionate side. Please don't take it personally if I need to watch you from a distance first or always. I'm learning that people can be kind, and I need the chance to figure that out for myself."Onion's Side of the Story"Greetings. I'm Onion, the thoughtful observer of the household. I prefer to admire humans from a comfortable distance rather than participate in all that unnecessary socializing. Cuddling? No, thank you. Uninvited pets? Also no, thank you.I do, however, have excellent taste in entertainment. A window with a sturdy, reinforced screen is prime real estate for bird-watching, neighborhood surveillance, and contemplating the mysteries of the universe. An elevated perch in the evening is another favorite, because important observations are best made from above. That said, as long as you are not watching nearby. I want solitude to enjoy my life.I also love treats, and if you bring out the right toy at the right hour of the night, you may discover that I have a playful side. I am clever, curious, and perfectly capable of enjoying life without being a lap cat. Please don't adopt me expecting to change my mind about cuddling or turn me into a cat who seeks human attention. My way of being is valid, too. I need a person who can appreciate me for who I am, even if our relationship looks more like quiet companionship than physical affection."Our Dream Home:We are looking for a calm, patient, kind, and adaptable human who understands that cats are individuals with their own boundaries, personalities, and timelines.A quiet, gentle atmosphere. Loud voices, forceful handling, and pushy interactions are not for us. We need someone who can move slowly, speak softly, and let us approach when we're ready.A night-owl human. We're most active around dusk and into the night. Someone who is comfortable being up late and enjoys our little evening routines would be a wonderful match.Plenty of safe hiding places. We may hide a lot, especially while adjusting to a new home. We need accessible, safe places where we can retreat without being chased, cornered, or pulled out. We also may hide for the rest of our being. If you live in a small space with minimal nooks this will help our bonding.A gradual transition. We do best when we can begin in a smaller, secure space and slowly become comfortable b

14. Yan Yan
Young · Female · Domestic Short Hair

Hi, I'm Yan Yan! I'm a beautiful female with short hair and brown tabby markings born approximately 9/15/2025. I'm a sweet, confident little lady who is ready to find my forever family! My journey to Wild Blue Cats started a little differently than most. My friends and I were part of a TNR situation and were brought to HSPPR to be spayed/neutered and returned to our feeder. Unfortunately, the feeder's HOA would no longer allow them to continue feeding the outdoor kitties, so we couldn't go back. HSPPR wasn't able to keep us either, and thankfully Wild Blue Cats stepped in to give us a safe place to land.

It turns out we're very friendly kitties, so now instead of returning outdoors, we get the chance to find loving indoor homes of our very own! I've been described as super sweet, brave, friendly, and the boldest of our trio! I love attention and enjoy full body pets, wand toys, and yummy Churu treats. I can even be picked up and held! I've got a fun little independent streak, too. I enjoy being loved on when I'm in the mood, but I'm also perfectly happy doing my own thing and don't always need to be sitting in your lap. I can be a little feisty and playful sometimes, which just adds to my personality!
I think I'd do well in a family with respectful teenagers, another feline friend, or even a doggie buddy, as long as you follow Wild Blue's introduction procedures. 15. Troia
Senior · Female · Domestic Short Hair

Hi, I'm Troia, a beautiful Dilute Tortie girl with a sweet heart and a personality that takes a little time to get to know. I may be a bit reserved at first, but once I feel comfortable, you'll get to see what a loving girl I really am. I was born approximately 8/26/2015, and I came to Wild Blue Cats after my owner was moved to assisted living and could no longer keep me. My family tried to find a place where I could stay, but I wasn't comfortable around young children, so they made the difficult decision to surrender me in hopes of finding a home that is a better fit for me.
Since arriving, I've been showing everyone that there is a very sweet kitty underneath my initial shyness.

I've learned to enjoy pets, especially when you let me approach things at my own pace. I can be sensitive to too much stimulation, so I'm looking for someone who will pay attention to my body language and respect when I need a little space. When I'm comfortable, though, I can be quite the lovebug! I've enjoyed lap time, purring, cuddling up with my people, and even giving sweet little face and body rubs. I would prefer to be your one and only kitty. I'd love having all the attention to myself and a peaceful home where I can relax and feel secure. A doggie buddy may be possible as long as introductions are done slowly and properly, following Wild Blue Cats' introduction procedures. Because I'm a sensitive girl, I'm looking for a quiet home with respectful teenagers or adults who can understand and read my body language. I would not be a good fit for a home with young children.
I've already made so much progress, and I'm ready for someone who will be patient with me, let me blossom at my own pace, and appreciate all the sweetness I have to give. Maybe you're the person I've been waiting for. If so, please fill out an adoption application at www.wbcats.org/adopt. I'll be waiting with a happy heart and a loud purr!

16. Vandham
Kitten · Male · Domestic Short Hair

Hi, I'm Vandham! I am a short haired grey male born approximately 4/29/2026. I'm one of the more cautious members of my kitten family, and I'm looking for someone special who understands that building trust can take a little time. New people and situations can still make me nervous, so I often feel safest tucked into my favorite window where I can watch everything happening around me. Even though I'm shy, I've made progress! I've allowed gentle pets, tolerated being picked up, and shown curiosity about wand toys even when I wasn't brave enough to fully join the game. Sometimes I'll sit quietly and observe instead, taking everything in before deciding what I'm comfortable with.

With patient, consistent kindness, I have every opportunity to become an even more confident and loving companion.
My journey to Wild Blue Cats began in a TNR situation in Colorado Springs, where there were too many outdoor colony cats for the owner to care for. Wild Blue gave us a safe place to grow and learn that people can be trusted. I think I'd do well in a family with respectful teenagers, another feline friend, or even a doggie buddy, as long as you follow Wild Blue's introduction procedures. I'll need a cat savvy family willing to let me set the pace, but watching me learn to trust you will make every little milestone that much more special. If you would like to meet me, please fill out an adoption application at www.wbcats.org/adopt. I'll be waiting with a happy heart and a loud purr!

Once I feel safe, I've enjoyed lots of pets, sitting in a lap, and even purring while being loved on. I'm generally much more interested in quiet snuggles and naps than being the center of attention.

19. Wacky Run
Adult · Male · Domestic Short Hair

Hi! My name is Wacky Run! I'm a handsome short haired brown tabby with white male, born approximately 9/29/2023. I came to Wild Blue Cats after being transferred from Texas. I'm a sweet, sensitive guy who sometimes needs a little time to decide that everything around me is safe. New situations can make me shy or a little skittish, and you may initially find me hanging out in a cozy bed or cubby while I take everything in. But give me some patience, yummy treats, and gentle attention, and you'll start seeing my adorable personality shine through!
I really do enjoy affection once I'm comfortable.

I love pets, butt scratches, Churu, and tasty treats, and I've become brave enough to venture out and join in on the fun when I'm feeling confident. I'm also quite good at watching what my best buddy Wartile does first and then deciding, "Okay...maybe I can do that too!" Wartile means the world to me, and we will happily tell you all about our excitement while we wait for our meals. That's the one time I'm not shy about making my voice heard. I absolutely LOVE my wet food, and I can be very talkative when I know it's coming.
Wartile and I are bonded and we must be adopted together. I love following him around, playing alongside him, and having him nearby as my source of comfort and confidence. Wherever Wartile goes, there's a good chance I won't be too far behind! And don't let my shy side fool you, Wartile and I can be a mischievous pair when we put our heads together! We like to team up for our little adventures, explore together, and occasionally make you wonder what exactly the two of us are plotting. I may be cautious on my own, but with Wartile by my side, I'm much braver, and apparently much more willing to participate in whatever scheme we've come up with!
I think we'd do well in a family with respectful teenagers, another feline friend, or even a doggie buddy, as long as you follow Wild Blue's introduction procedures. If you have room in your heart and home for two best friends, Wartile and I would love a patient family who will let us settle in at our own pace and enjoy all the sweetness, silliness, dinner time conversations, and adventures we have to offer. If you want to meet us, please fill out an adoption application at www.wbcats.org/adopt. I'll be waiting with a happy heart!

Hi, I'm Wartile! I'm a short haired handsome buff tabby male, born approximately 12/28/2020. I made my way to Wild Blue Cats after being transferred all the way from Texas. I can be a little reserved when I'm first getting comfortable, but underneath that cautious exterior is an incredibly sweet, gentle, and loving guy.
Once I know I'm safe, I'll come out to see you and happily soak up pets and attention. I especially enjoy body scratches, Churu treats, and spending time with my favorite people. Sometimes I'd rather keep my paws on the ground than be picked up, but I'm more than happy to receive affection on my own terms! I've even been known to get nice and cozy under a blanket when I'm ready to relax.

One thing you absolutely need to know is that I come with a best friend: Wacky Run. Wacky and I are bonded and need to find our forever home together. We bring each other confidence, comfort, and companionship, and my life simply wouldn't be the same without my buddy by my side. We also happen to make quite the mischievous little team! Whether we're investigating something interesting, plotting our next adventure, or encouraging each other to get into a little harmless trouble, Wacky and I have a way of working together. After all, adventures are always more fun when you have your best friend helping you! Adult · Male · Domestic Short Hair

Meow! I'm Roose, I am an active short haired white male with black markings, born approximately 3/22/2021. I am shy with strangers at first, but I quickly turn on my charm the moment you share some chin rubs. Then, all I want is love and attention! I love giving you hugs and kisses and head-bonks! I'll meow excitedly for wet food and treats, and I am very playful as well! ! like to play almost as much as I love to snuggle. Sometimes I can get a little too playful and overstimulated, so don't pet and play with me at the same time and I'll do fine. I LOVE to play with Da'-Bird wand toy (that's my favorite toy) and I appreciate the exercise! When I am comfortable and confident in you, I am ok being held but I prefer lap time.

I need a family who has the time to play and regularly share love with me, as l need that frequent reassurance that you are my person.
I was originally adopted from Wild Blue Cats in 2023 and eventually found my way back. I've previously lived with both cats and a dog and was able to peacefully share my space with them. I think I could do well with another feline friend or even a respectful doggie buddy, as long as Wild Blue Cats' introduction procedures are followed and I'm given plenty of time to adjust. I prefer a calmer home because loud noises can make me nervous. Respectful teenagers who understand my body language would be a great fit for me, but no young children, please.
There's something else that makes me extra special. I don't have any teeth. Because of this, I need wet pâté food mixed well with water into a soupy consistency so I can comfortably eat my meals. I may drool a little more than the average kitty too, but that's just part of my charm! I'm an affectionate guy who just needs someone willing to give me a little time to feel safe. Once I know I can trust you, you'll discover a wonderful companion who wants nothing more than to love and be loved. Are you willing to be my BFF and start this adventure together? Sabrina was rescued after someone dumped her, along with her five kittens.
We were notified about a cat under a deck and were told she was feral. When we arrived, it was discovered she was not feral. Instead, she was super sweet. She is a young cat, not more than 2 years. She likes to snuggle and sit in your lap. She is beautiful and looks like an ancient Egyptian painting. Sleek, black and long. She takes time to warm up to other cats, but with patience it's doable. It took her a few days to relax around my cats, she was scared. However, I have 7 cats, so it was overwhelming.
We also think she could be happy living without another cat. She would be fine with older children and needs a quiet home. All in all, she is a sweet cat who needs some time to settle in and get used to being away from her kittens. She can be seen in rural Ft. Lupton.

Hi, I'm Ozzy! I'm a handsome medium haired male with an orange tabby and white coat, born approximately 9/30/2021. I've got a big personality, a bigger heart, and just a few quirks that make me unforgettable. I came to Wild Blue Cats when my previous home wasn't the right fit for me. I didn't feel comfortable around the boyfriend or the dog. Because of that, I'm looking for a calm, understanding home where I can feel safe and build trust at my own pace. I tend to do best with women, older children, and a quieter environment. Little kids and most dogs aren't really my thing.

Although, I may be okay with the right laid-back cat companion, as long as you follow Wild Blue's introduction procedures.
I can be a bit shy and timid at first. But if you give me a slow, gentle approach, I'll show you just how sweet and loving I am. Once I trust you, I lean into pets, purr like a motor, and even love being held like a baby. I'm also known to sneak in for snuggles and rub against you for attention when you least expect it! I am very food motivated! It's the fastest way to my heart! I'm currently on a special Z/D diet (both wet and dry) due to food sensitivities, so I'll need a family committed to keeping me on track. That said... if there's human food nearby, I will absolutely try to claim it as my own. Counters, boxes, drawers, you name it, I'll investigate it. Keeping food secure is a must with me around! I also have a playful, mischievous side. I love spring toys, crinkle balls, wand toys! I enjoy climbing up high on cat trees, lounging on soft blankets, and scratching away on mats. I don't mind being brushed, which helps keep me looking my best.
Because I can get overstimulated at times, I appreciate having my own space when I need a break. My favorite spot lately in snuggled under a pile of blankets. A patient cat savvy adopter who understands cat body language will help me feel secure and respected. If you're looking for a charismatic, affectionate companion with a playful streak and you don't mind keeping a close eye on your snacks, I might just be your perfect match. I promise, once I choose you, I'll love you with my whole heart. If you are interested in meeting me, please fill out an adoption application at www.wbcats.org/adopt. How to adopt from Evergreen Animal Protective League
THE FIRST STEP to adopting an EAPL animal is to fill out a DOG ADOPTION APPLICATION. EAPL is a foster-based rescue. We do not have a shelter facility where applicants can come look at multiple animals at one time. All of our animals are in foster homes that range from Denver, to Evergreen, to Northeast Colorado - where they are loved and cared for until they are placed in a forever home. The adoption process begins when you complete an online Adoption Application, naming either one or a few of our Available Animals or providing a description of the type of animal you hope to adopt. Completing an application does not restrict you to a specific animal, nor does it obligate you to adopt. Once we have received your application and determined that you are a good match for the requested animal, we will contact you. The foster parent will then contact you to arrange a time for you to meet the animal, at which time you can decide if you would like to complete the adoption. You may be asked to visit the animal more than once before taking it home. After your initial meeting with the animal, one of our volunteers will conduct a home visit. This may occur before you take the animal home or when the animal is delivered to you. Once the adoption is approved, you will need to complete our Preliminary Adoption Agreement and pay the adoption fee. We will keep in contact over the next few days to make sure everyone is happy. If so, we will mail out an official Adoption Contract for

Adopting a cat in Douglas County
Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the cat, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your cat in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.
Senior cats are often the calmest companions and the slowest to find homes. If you'd like a settled, affectionate cat, ask the rescues about their older residents.
Kittens go quickly, especially in spring and summer. If you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon, and think about adopting two: young cats keep each other company and out of mischief.
