They call us the "Coco" twins because we look so
much alike but if you really want to tell us apart
my nose and face area is a Ittle more brown than
my sis, Calypso. We were born a gang of five
near our hooman Moms back yard on March 19,
2025. Our white siamese siblings have already
found their forever homes so hoomam Mom is
still working hard to get us that same special
family.

11. Kika and Breonna

Young · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 9 mi from Bay Harbor Islands

Kika and Breonna

Bonded Female Pair: Kika & Brie (Breonna)

Age: ~1 year old

Gender: Females (must be adopted together)

Appearance: Matching sleek black coats with small white tuxedo markings and white bellies!

Medical: Spayed and fully vaccinated

Compatibility: Great with other cats

Our Story

I rescued Kika and Brie from the streets last October when they were just 4 months old. They were right on the edge of becoming feral, but they have made incredible progress since then! They are deeply attached to one another, so they must go to a home together.

Their Personalities

Read more about Kika and Breonna

Playful & Sweet: They love playtime, have wonderful dispositions, and are genuinely fun to have around

Food Motivated: Both girls will happily take treats and food right from your hands

Cat-Friendly: They get along great with other feline friends!

Bedtime Companions: Kika loves sleeping in bed with her human at night, which is the perfect time for occasional pets and bonding. Brie prefers her own cozy sleeping spot nearby.

Progress & Expectations (Full Disclosure)

Because of their rough start in life, they are still a work in progress and need a patient owner:

Kika: The braver of the two. She will occasionally let you pet her and is settling into domestic life well

Brie: Still timid. She is a bit skittish and will run away if you reach out to pet her too quickly.

Ideal Home

These girls are wonderful, but they need a quiet, patient, and experienced adopter who understands cat body language and will let them bloom at their own pace. Serious and responsible inquiries only!

15. Dune

Kitten · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Tabby / Mixed (short coat) · 10 mi from Bay Harbor Islands

You can apply for Dune at www.ladyluckanimalrescue.org under the “Adopt/Foster” Tab.
Dune is a domestic shorthair orange tabby male kitten, born approximately April 15, 2026. He was found living outdoors with his mom and sister, Turtle, under a foreclosed home, where the little family had been surviving together. Lady Luck Animal Rescue quickly came to their aid, providing the guidance and support they needed and taking the lead on finding each of them the perfect forever home. Dune is an exceptionally beautiful boy. His orange coat is covered in distinctive swirls and markings that look like patterns in the sand dunes, making his name a perfect fit.

Read more about Dune

With his light eyes and angelic little face, there’s something especially striking about him. A little shy at first, he’s gaining confidence every day. What started as uncertainty in his new surroundings has given way to playing, exploring and becoming increasingly comfortable with the people around him. One of his favorite things is the play tube he shares with his sister. But for a kitten, he’s also remarkably chill—there’s an almost old-soul quality about him. Gentle, sweet and playful, this little guy has come a long way from his life outdoors. With a little patience and lots of love, he’ll continue building his confidence and showing more of his wonderful personality.
Dune is neutered, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested negative, fecal tested negative, dewormed, and vaccinated (including rabies). He is fostered in Hollywood, FL.
For more information contact ladyluckanimalrescue@gmail.com or text 754-366-3669. You can apply at www.ladyluckanimalrescue.org under the 'Adopt/Foster' Tab.

16. Turtle

Kitten · Female · Tortoiseshell (short coat) · 10 mi from Bay Harbor Islands

You can apply for Turtle at www.ladyluckanimalrescue.org under the “Adopt/Foster” Tab.
Turtle is a tortoiseshell female kitten born approximately April 15, 2026. Her story began outdoors. She was discovered with her mom and brother, Dune, taking shelter beneath a foreclosed home. When the little family needed help, Lady Luck Animal Rescue graciously and immediately stepped in to provide guidance, support and oversee their adoption process. This beautiful little tortie seems to get prettier by the day. More and more orange is emerging throughout her dark coat as she grows, making her already distinctive tortie markings even more striking.

Read more about Turtle

Her big, expressive eyes and tiny, sweet face only add to her beauty. Playful, curious and full of personality, she already has some of that famous tortie attitude. When she gets excited, she wags her tail so enthusiastically that her whole little butt wiggles along with it. Her playful side really takes over when Dune is around. Their beloved tube is the center of countless games of hide-and-seek, with the two popping in and out and chasing each other around. True to her name, this tiny girl is slowly but surely coming out of her shell. Give her a little patience and the chance to feel safe on her own terms, and you’ll get the joy of watching more of that sweet—and slightly sassy—personality emerge every day.
Turtle is spayed, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested negative, fecal tested negative, dewormed, and vaccinated (including rabies). She is fostered in Hollywood, FL.
For more information contact ladyluckanimalrescue@gmail.com or text 754-366-3669. You can apply at www.ladyluckanimalrescue.org under the 'Adopt/Foster' Tab.

Adopting a cat in Bay Harbor Islands

Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the cat, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your cat in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.

Senior cats are often the calmest companions and the slowest to find homes. If you'd like a settled, affectionate cat, ask the rescues about their older residents.

Kittens go quickly, especially in spring and summer. If you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon, and think about adopting two: young cats keep each other company and out of mischief.
